Story:
"Shuck! Get ya butt up and help with the cows!" called a southern drawled voice. It was the farmer, Joe. Joe had raised Shuck since he had hatched, and had Shuck help around, shuck the corn, milk the cows, tend the field, and so forth. He was named after the action of peeling the corn, otherwise known as "shucking", because his egg was found in the middle of the corn field. He hatched three days later, and they instantly bonded, connecting with a knowledge unexplainable.
"Alright!" Shuck answered, getting up from the bed of straw, shaking his fur, getting the leftover straw off. He then straitened his neckerchief, and walked out into the brisk, warm, dawn air. He sighed in awe, knowing his work had just begun. He was trotting out of the barn, and into the corn field, where Joe was waiting. Joe had his overals on with a rather half-hearted try; the straps loose and one hanging off of his left shoulder, having a white, dusty shirt under it. He spat at the dusty, orange-colored earth, and looked at Shuck with grin, "Glad ya came out, Shuck, we're gonna get them corn," Joe said with drawl, his mouth twitched to the right side. He gestured with an open hand to the many rows of corn, all a brown hue because of the time. Shuck grinned back, and trotted over to the corn rows, and attached a wheelbarrow to his shoulders, a collar holding the handles beside his shoulders, connected to the collar. He then walked through the rows, plucking corn with his mouth, and puttin it in the wheelbarrow behind him, as he walked forward to repeat the cycle. The sun was up high in the noon sky, as he finished. He wiped his forehead with a muddy paw, before going to the chicken coop. The chickens began to cluck loudly; sensing the dragon. He stepped in hesitantly, watching his footing on droppings. He gathered some eggs with a gentle smile, and retreated, sprinting. He then put the eggs down in the basket beside the farm, and saw Joe, who was sweating from sowing the dirt. Joe grinned, and walked to the dragon, patting his back. "Great job, Shuck, go get some food on the porch," Joe pointed to the lunch bag on the porch, beside a rocker. Shuck nodded, and trotted to the porch tiredly, even though his work has just begun. Shuck gathered the bag in his mouth, and layed down, before he began to open it. He gasped, realizing that the food was his favorite kind; apple crisp. He licked his lips in delight, and began to eat. Once he was done, he chuckled, before trotting to the barn, carrying a bucket. Te cows began to moo, alert of shucks presence. He smiled, and sat on a stool up-right. He washed his paws, putting the bucket under the utters; before he started to milk the cow. It moped happily, swishing it's tail like a fly swatter. "Stop it, now, Bess'e," he laughed, the bristled tail brushing against his fur.

Why do I want him?:
Because he is a western JBD!

he looks adorable with the neckerchief, and the price of wheat at king out of his mouth!

he will also be the first JBD I will have. (If I win, of course :3)
