Hiccup wrote:What is a Jellybean Dragon?
A Jellybean Dragon is a fluffy, friendly dragon that hatches from a jellybean-like egg. Their diet consists of fruits and insects, but they also love sweets and desserts. Their fur is soft and long, usually brightly colored and it's always neat and shiny. Jellybean Dragons are gentle and happy, and love attention. Most are Great Dane-sized when they are fully grown, but some of them can grow as big as a cow. All Jellybean Dragons have pouches on their bellies, which they use to carry around food or younger JBDs.

Congratulations to Kennet!

Why I want her wrote: Ever since I got my second dragon, Donut, I have decided that I will only try out for children, so I will have 2 adults, and 2 children. I have always loved striped JBDs, and this one just takes the cake. I really loved Miel, and now that I can try out for her possible sister, it makes me want Jenu even more. And her little stripes are just too cute. Her design is just lovely, and she seems like she would fit in very well, as I think I did a good personality for her. (if it is kind of short. Sorry. I'm not good at writing personalities)
What I would do with her wrote: Where do I start? First off, I would just love her and definitely roleplay with her to show more of her personality. Second, I would obviously make and order lots of art. Since I don't really have anything for my signature, I would add her in with Ix and Do. I would show her the JBDFC, and introduce her to lots of people.

"Remember the summer we fell in love?
The kiss as we floated on the lake,
When you declared my eyes bluer than a June sky?
Think of my eyes now
Don't look away;
Not for anything."

- From the book, Saving Zasha by Randi Barrow

: Personality :
Overall
Jenu is generally a fun- loving, adventure seeking dragon. She is slightly childish, but then again, she is a child. She is very sweet and caring, but she has a shadowy side that she pulls out when she wants to prank people.
-Adventurous-
Jenu is always looking for excitement, and she often finds it. She loves rollercoasters and pretty much anything that I hate. She often goes into the woods behind our house and decides to use her imagination to make some fun

-Pranker-
Everyone loves a good joke, right? Well, Jenu loves jokes, pranks, and anything like that. Whenever you don't expect it, she'll prank you. Watch out! ;)

-Sensitive-
Jenu cares a lot about others, and she especially loves little kids! She does have a current job as a babysitter, and that's where she gets her money. She loves being around people and taking care of them.

-Troublemaker-
Jenu tries not to get into trouble, but somehow she always seems to get into it. She could be minding her own business, and she'll do something wrong and get into trouble.

-Friendly-
Jenu always loves to meet new people, and she loves to make people smile. Making friends is something she excels at.

Image
By me.
: Likes :
- Rollercoasters - She loves the way you can never tell which way you're going, and the feel of the wind rushing through her fur as they drop
- Animals - They don't judge you, and always want to play
- Pranking people - To Jenu, it stimulates her brain when she plots new ideas to play a joke on you.
- Coconut fudge ice cream - It's delicious! You should try it!
- Swimming - Jenu loves the feeling of weightlessness and generally getting wet.
- Summer ('Cuz of no school) - She can see her friends more, and gets more free time!
- Meeting other dragons - It's always fun to meet new people, hear new stories, make a new friend
- Favorite Book- Saving Zasha by Randi Barrow
- Favorite Movie- The first Pirates of the Caribbean

: Dislikes :
- Rude people- Well, who does like rude people?
- Kiddie Rides- Jenu just hates how slow they go.
- Melted Ice Cream- It gets all sticky and all over her fur.
- Cucumbers - Jenu doesn't lke the slimy seeds
- Bland Food- If yo u can't taste it, why eat it?
- Lazy people who don't want to go on adventures with her- no explanation needed.
- Least Favorite Book- Elijah of Buxton
- Least Favorite Movie- Documentaries (No specific.)

: 1x1 with Jenu :
So Jen, what is your biggest fear?

I guess it would have to be foxes. Yeah, you heard me right. If you tease me about it, I'll break your face. Ever since that incident, I've kind of been scared of them.
Got a crush, Jenu?

Ugh, no! Guys are disgusting.
Do you have a favorite animal?

Favorite animal? Definitely a musk deer. They are really cool!
Any favorite kind of music?

I really like jazz. How smooth it is.
What's your full name?

Jenu Cy (Hurricane's last name here)
What color is your flame?

It's a light blueish -Purple. I'll show you a picture in a second.
: Hobbies :
Jenu is the kind of JBD that wouldn't have a namby-pamby hobby like collecting stamps. No way. In her spare time, Jenu likes to "tree walk" as she calls it. Basically, Jenu will go into the forest by her house, amd move from tree to tree without touching the ground.

Image
: History :
When Jenu first opened her eyes, her parents were dazzled by her "June- sky eyes", as they called them. She grew up in a loving home, and at the age of 4, was put up for adoption. Thankfully, Jenu's original owners put her up for adoption themselves, and they had soon located someone who would take, since she was rapidly becoming too big for their simple home. Jenu was given to a professional dragon breeder, and that was the end of it. The money had been exchanged, papers, signed, and goodbyes said.

As her mother held her close for the last time, Jenu whispered, "Don't cry, Mama. I'm gonna go to a new home." Feeling her throat begin to tighten up, she let the man pick her up, and she was deposited into a cage on the back of his truck. The ride jolted her around the cage, but thankfully, a blanket covered the floor. At last, the car stopped at a large brick building. Jenu listened as the door opened, and the man stepped out.

"Come on, girl." he said, lifting her out of the cage. After carrying her inside, she was set down on a metal table where a lady with a needle was waiting. Deciding to go along with it, Jenu sat on the table and watched as the people talked.
"She needs some routine shots." The man explained.

"Alright." The lady sighed, sounding overworked. She slipped several needles under neath Jenu's pel t and she was taken to a concrete cage. There was one dragon that lived in the cage next to her, named Donut. They became fast friends, and often sat as close together as possible throught the iron chain link fence. Many times, people would come look at them, and take them out to play in the big yard.

One day, a man came in with a wife and a daughter. The little girl bounced from cage to cage, full of energy and ready to find a pet. She arrived at Jenu's cage and their eyes locked. The girl bent down.
"Hi."

Jenu, too nervous to even speak, looked at her and waved a paw. She was taken out into the big yard yet again, and she walked over to the grown ups as they watched her.

"Are you sure?" they asked the little girl. She nodded silently. They sighed, and took Jenu to the counter in the front. She smiled quizzically at all of them, not knowing that she would soon be leaving for a new home.
Image
: Story :
Jenu looked up from her pilfered ice cream as her name was called for the third time. "Coming! She called, swinging herself down from the tree branch. Loping through the trees, Jenu scruffed up her fur a bit with her paw. As she arrived at her human's house, Jenu looked up imploringly. "I.... got stuck in the bushes!" She offfered when asked were she had been. Slinking inside, Jenu went to bed, already thinking of tomorrows's mischief.
The sun shone down through the window, and kissed her fur the next morning. She yawned and stretched, heading out the door. Padding out on the road, the wind wisked briskly through her fur, brushing it back. Jenu closed her eyes, savoring the cool breeze.
Snap! Jenu's head turned as a sharp noise peirced the air. Straying off the road, Jenu walked into the forest, unaware of the eyes watching her every move.
"Huh." Jen commented to herself as she scuffed her paws against the layer of leaves. "Coulda sworn I heard something." She looked up, birds flocking to the trees. Dappled sunlight fell like leaves, and illuminated…
A fox, hackles raised, was standing in the middle of the pass! Jenu stopped, petrified. She backed up slowly. The fox took a step foward, muzzle creased. Thinking quick, Jenu dashed up the tree she was standing by. That was a mistake. Eyes flashing, the fox lunged at the tree, tearing at the bark, trying to climb up. Jen was scared out of her mind. If she jumped down to run for it, the fox would surely get her. If she stayed in the tree ro wait it out, who knew how long it would take for the fox to leave? She eyed the nearest tree, over 7 feet away. Maybe, if she got a running start......
I'll just have to do it. Jenu told herself. Taking a second to clear her mind, the little dragon braced herself for the leap. Just one paw after the other,
Running to the very edge of the thick, knotty branch, Jenu closed her eyes, and lept. Thump! She opened her eyes, front paws scrabbling at the small branch that could save her life. She hauled herself up, exhausted.
Looking down, she noticed that the fox was confused. Where had she gone? Relieved, she turned to jump again. This landing was softer, and she was far enough from the fox to get down. Nevertheless, as soon as Jenu's paws touched soil, she ran.
Arriving back ar her house, Jenu looked up at the sun, sueprised to see it sitting in the middle of the sky. Lunchtime already? She wondered to herself. Walking in, Jenu heard her human in the kitchen. The human turned at the sound of the door, asking Jenu, "There you are! Anything interesting happen?"
Jenu plopped down on the kitchen floor, and answered, "No, not really."

Even in the darkness every the color can be found.

Gender : Female
Gold by Owl City

"Stand on up and take a bow
There is something there and it's showing
There is no need to look around
you're the best we got going

Shout out to the dreams you'll chase
Shout out to the hearts you'll break
Nothing is gonna stop you now
I guess you better be going
You'll never be far, I'm keeping you near,
inside of my heart, you're here
Go on, It's got to be time,
you're starting to shine cause what you've got is gold

I know you're gold
Oh I know I know

I don't even need stars in the night
I had found my treasure
All I need is you by my side
So shine forever
Gold, I know you're gold
Oh I know you're gold

It won't take long to get when you feel like your soaring
So write it all and don't forget to tell us your story
Shout out to the friends back home
Shout out to the hearts you have known
You gave them nothing but the best
You can tell them your story
You never be far
I'm keeping you near
Inside of my heart you're here
It's got to be time, your starting to shine
cause what you have got is gold

I know you're gold
Oh I know I know
I don't even need stars in the night
I have found my treasure
All I need is you by my side
So shine forever

Gold I know you're gold
Oh I know your gold

Gold I know you're gold
Oh I know your gold
I don't even need stars in the night

New Soul by Yael Naim

"I'm a new soul
I came to this strange world
Hoping I could learn a bit
about how to give and take.
But since I came here
Felt the joy and the fear
Finding myself making every possible mistake

La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la...

I'm a young soul
in this very strange world
Hoping I could learn a bit
about what is true and fake.
But why all this hate?
Try to communicate
Finding trust and love
is not always easy to make.

La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la...

This is a happy end
Cause' you don't understand
Everything you have done
Why's everything so wrong

This is a happy end
Come and give me your hand
I'll take your far away.

I'm a new soul
I came to this strange world
Hoping I could learn a bit
about how to give and take
But since I came here
Felt the joy and the fear
Finding myself making every possible mistake

La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la... "

Penny's Song from Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog

"Heres a Story of a girl
Who grew up lost and lonely
Thinking love was fairy tale
And trouble was made only for me

Even in the darkness every color can be found
And every day of rain brings
water flowing
to things growing in the ground

Grief replaced with pity
For a city barely coping
Dreams are easy to achieve
If hope is all Im hoping to be

Anytime youre hurt
Theres one who has it worse around
And every drop of rain will keep you growing
Seeds youre sowing in the ground"

Open Your Eyes

"All this feels strange and untrue
And I won't waste a minute without you
My bones ache, my skin feels cold
And I'm getting so tired and so old

The anger swells in my guts
And I won't feel these slices and cuts
I want so much to open your eyes
'Cause I need you to look into mine

Tell me that you'll open your eyes
Tell me that you'll open your eyes

Get up, get out, get away from these liars
'Cause they don't get your soul or your fire
Take my hand, knot your fingers through mine
And we'll walk from this dark room for the last time

Every minute from this minute now
We can do what we like anywhere
I want so much to open your eyes
'Cause I need you to look into mine

Tell me that you'll open your eyes
Tell me that you'll open your eyes

All this feels strange and untrue
And I won't waste a minute without you"

Nicknames : Sera by most, or simply Seren.
Age : Ten
Size : About that of a small bulldog, 14 inches.
Atributes : Sera is just as any other dragon, except for a crucial point. The girl was hatched blind, her eyes are a milky pale blue because of this and she often had trouble in places she's never been before. To try an acclimate herself Sera would grab the nearest dragon tail between her teeth to follow behind. In most cases this tail belongs to a boy named Fletcher who was one of the first to realize the girl couldn't see. Needless to say it's something that takes getting used to, because while the shy little girl means well; her fangs are quite sharp.
Image

Hobbies : Sera being the shy and soft girl she is enjoys spending time outside with flowers. She likes the touch and smell of each one, how they are all just as different as a dragon's individual scent. Sometimes she picks and presses the flowers if they're from a new place or from some adventure she's been on, so she can smell it and be able to remember how the place felt. Seren is very big on the feelings and textures of places, like the flowers themselves. If they have waxy leaves she can tell it came from a wet place, or if they're delicate and brittle a dry one. She could spend hours out in a garden just listening to the birds and feeling the cool fingers of a summer breeze that carry the heavy scent of flower's in the air. It's her paradise.
Personality :The first word the comes to mind when trying to describe the personality of this little yellow female is, serene. A quirky conscience as her name Seren makes up the majority of the word, serene. She is very faithful in hope and dreams and how they affect the dragons that hold them, and create them for themselves. After all "Hope is what we give ourselves, that's what defines true inner-strength." As she has said before. Seren can be quite philosophical, as she does not see the world for what others may, the world for Seren is exposed raw by simply sound and touch; and it is hard to make the glitter of gold as alluring when you can't see it. She is quite shy, preferring to reserve herself to a few very close friends that she can depend whole-heartedly on and hold in high esteem. Seren is in a way sentimental, as she has a book of pressed flowers from places she's been or given to her from people she'd met in her pouch. She enjoys flowers the most as they can be beautiful by only scent and touch, which also helps her identify where the flower came from or who gave it to her; by the scent. It is a well-known fact of those who have encountered the blind girl that she asks her new acquaintance to pick out their favorite flower or find one they like and pick it. For Seren this is a bonding moment as through the flower she is able to gain some insight on the dragon.
Story : We are born blind and deaf, our ears sealed shut and our eyes screwed tight as he force our way into the light. Us dragons escape by sound and the feel of light through the thin shell of our eggs. We gain our senses when our markings begin to appear, this is almost unheard of in the reptilian community but then again we Jellybeans have fur and are capable of speech beyond flames. The Jellybean Dragon has been an anomaly since the very first dragon himself.
My Jam found me, little, blind, solid-colored and helpless in infancy. I grew quickly under the care of my adoptive family as most males do, my marks having four tones of red and a great blanket-like mark on my back. I was three years had passed and many more infants had been found, some teens and a great number of adults. I played tricks on these newcomers, stealing their trinkets and treats and dangling them up in tree branches or nibbling on bits of cookies; a treat which I had quickly come to call my favorite. I played pranks when we traveled from camp to camp, and gave some of the nicer dragons bits of my prize that I would steal from the grouchy or greedy ones. I was the bane of all mean dragons and the bringer of treats and fun for the younger or lonely ones. I was reckless and carefree for those three years, throwing consequence to the wind. For the first and last time in my life though, a dragon would come to change that in me.
It was winter when a small bright female was found, in much the same situation as I had been and not much younger than I was now, but the snow had been harsh to her and she was hardly living when Kaiden had carried her out of the woods in his pouch. She had her eyes shut like she might have been sleeping, but her ears were open though and brilliant marks were all over her fur; shades of yellow so bright she was like the sun, so bright and beautiful untouched by the dusk of winter.
“Who’s that?” I remember asking the older male, as he carried her into the clearing where our Jam had camped for the night to escape the driving snow.
“A new dragon.” He had replied simply.
“Melo and I found her in the trees.”
Days passed and the yellow female didn’t seem to change at all, she would travel around in the pouches of the older dragons moving from pouch to pouch as they traded off duties to care for the child. At one point I remember asking Popcorn, who had the little female in his pouch at the time, if I could carry her but I was still far too young myself he had replied; rubbing the top of my head the way an older sibling would before going off to continue to look for food.
Another week had passed and the older dragons were beginning to worry for the girl, I couldn’t at the time understand why. She seemed perfectly healthy, her markings were there clear and bright as sunlight, so she couldn’t possibly be a plain. Her ears her soft and pointed so she could hear just fine. She always had her eyes closed when I came around to play with her but I figured it was just because she had been tired.
“It’s been almost two weeks and she hasn’t opened her eyes.”
“Do you think she’s be alright?”
“What if she doesn’t make it?”
“She seems healthy though, all her vitals are fine.”
“It must have been the snow, she was out in it too long before we found her.”
All these words, whispered in hushed voices among the oldest dragons. I would hide and listen to them from the bushes or the trees, I had found that I could be very sneaky when I needed to be.
In two days the girl finally opened her eyes. They were the most starting pale blue you can imagine, and she seemed to look straight through you when she spoke with those eyes of hers. Some of the young dragons like me wouldn’t go around the little yellow girl, they were frightened of her eyes and the way she seemed to look right through them. I had seen her from the beginning though, and followed who ever had the girl in their pouch at the time asking nonsense and babbling on just to try and see if this new dragon would become one of my partners of crime. It had turned to spring and the flowers seemed to be blooming no matter where the Jam traveled, I loved it. The sun, the air, it was just so easy to run off from the group and have and adventure or sneak up a tree to spy on the teens and see what treats they had found in the human camps, with their great big houses and cars that go screeching by. I had been told about the humans, all the Jam had but most of us children hadn’t seen one yet. The adults said we were too small, and the teens said that we would only slow them down. I wanted to see the humans so badly though, to find their treasure trove of treats and sweets or find a necklace or hat like some of the older dragons had.
“ooph”
Someone had bumped into me as I was walking behind Raydin, my eyes unfocused as I watched his tail swish back and forth. This brought me out of my head and grand ideas of all the adventures I could have in the place were the humans lived.
“Are you alright?” I asked, turning to find the pale eyes and yellow fur of the young female who we had found in wintertime.
“Oh. Yes. Yes, I’m fine. Sorry.” She replied quickly, her head ducking.
I grinned at her, realizing in a dawning moment that I may have very well just literally bumped into a new traveling buddy. She may have been younger than me, and didn’t seem the adventuring type right of the bat but I was sure I could change that. Show her the ropes of being a thief and maybe go racing in those fields sometime. He needed a friend to race with.
“What’s your name?”
“My name- Oh. Uh, I- I don’t know.”
I remember staring at the yellow girl for quite some time, here we were she had to be only a year younger than me by her size and yet my whole life I had known my name by heart, while this girl had never known her own.
“Well, I’m Fletcher.” I proclaimed proudly, taking a step back to puff out my chest proudly. The baby fur making me look exceptionally fluffy.
"-and you need a name."
From then on we were thick, as well- thieves. She was always so much more shy than I was, I put it on account of her blindness, which we had discovered pretty early on. I may have taken advantage of it once or twice, hiding in a dense patch of berry bushes so she wouldn't be able to smell me out when we played hide and seek. We came up with the name Seren for her, and sometimes I would call her Serry just to annoy her. For years we were just; happy. And that's all we needed to be, just Seren and I.
