Story behind the tattoos: Ever since she was young, Adela had a fixation about egyption mythology. She often wished she had been born in the times of pharaohs and pyramids. Rather than hating her furless body, she became inspired. She took a collection of egyption symbols, and made them into tattoos. (WIP)

It was a stormy and dismal afternoon in a crowded diner on the corner of 4th and 5th street in New York, New York. A young boy who went by the name of Pluto walked in, a small bell rang overhead. A few old faces looked over to the young child and gasped when they saw the minor. This young plumerian had no fur and was very pale. The previous puffs caused others to look towards Pluto. His oversized ears lay flat to his head in cowardice. Rain slicked off his back, causing him to shudder. There was an eerie silence as everyone stared to the boy. "C-can I have some w-water?" he asked, looking to the man that was patrolling the counters. "-No. You- Your kind cannot be in my shop. Get out." Emery gasped at the owners shrill harshness. "I-I'm not like my parents!" He screamed as he was pushed from the shop. "Please!"

That was it. Once again Emery was left alone and in the rain. Short and wheezy breaths came from the boy as he cried down the ally way. Pluto was truly alone now. As he walked through the dark ally, something large caught his eye. A book. -no, a journal. He picked up the semi-soggy journal and delicately flipped through the pages. Foreign symbols and pictures filled his mind. In said journal there was talk of Trinity, the devil, and something called Dante's Inferno. Emery was instantly in love. Little Emery waited for the sun to appear on the horizon before sneaking into the local library. Quietly, he searched the shelves and quickly found more information on the so called Dante's Inferno and more about symbology. He found three books and hauled them from the library, no one noticing.

Emery looked in through the glass windows of the parlor and tattoo shop. He was now seventeen and already had one tattoo; the three marks of Trinity. The three marks of Trinity represent The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. Those three lines were his first tattoo and they were only the beginning. The lines have big meaning in the spiritual world, which Emery was very interested in. However today, he was at the parlor for a different type of tattoo. Mors Venit, meaning 'death comes' was to be tattooed in cryptic symbols from his neck to his back. Emery found himself taking a new look on the spirit side, a dark one.

It's been two years since Emery's last tattoo, an eye on each of his front paws. Most spiritual tellers believe that they can see father with another set of eyes, that it even opens what is known as a 'third eye.' He was back for the final and grand masterpiece, Dante's Inferno. He had created the design which was based on the original art and story. His love for the supernatural and spiritual had grown into more of an obsession. He knew that he had to get the one thing that fueled his love for the supernatural. Since his first tattoo, more people had feared him- had more respect. The people once had the power, but now, through the tattoos, he has the power.

The artist dipped the needle into the ink and the pen's vibrations started. "You ready?"

Name: Ra - After the Ancient Egyptian sun god

Story behind the tattoos: Ra doesn't put actual tattoos on, he paints them on himself! During the day, he lies in his owners couch, all snuggled up with his favorite blanket. Although once his owners leave to go to certain places, that's when Ra gets messy. He scurries outside to his owners backyard, and goes behind the great oak tree that they have in their backyard. Ra then pulls out a glass of black ink that he keeps in secret, not telling anybody where he keeps it. He then decides to pain himself with ink! Messy black splotches and markings all over his body! Ra as no certain style of designing his 'tattoos' on him, so he designs new different ones on him every day. As the day passes by, his owners return. Trying to be sneaky, he quickly hides the glass ink cup, and scurries back inside the house, laying down on the couch where he was before. As the door opens suddenly, the owners appear shocked. The house is a disaster! Look at all those black splotches everywhere! Ra doesn't want them getting angry, so he pads over to his owners, and cuddles up with their feet, hoping to not get in trouble, and of course his owners couldn't get mad! (213/550 words)

Story behind the tattoos:

- Opus Dei Symbol: (shoulder marking)
:: Silas' first tattoo is actually more than just a tattoo. It's also branded into his skin. This tattoo is the symbol of Opus Dei, showing that he's a follower of the Catholic organization. He wears this with pride on his left shoulder, and will show it off proudly, even though many others don't see it in the same light. Opus Dei is his life, his passion. It's through this community that he found light after both his parents died-- his mother was abused by his father constantly, and one day, his father struck and killed his mother, and Silas had enough. He stood up to his father, but was struck down. Somehow he lost control-- his father fought him and he hit back, only barely managing to wound him to the point of stopping him, but his father did not survive. Soon after, Silas ran away, to the churches and joined Opus Dei. A priest of Opus Dei took him in and raised him as his own.

- Tribal Arm Band:
:: His second tattoo is of a tribal arm band, placed on his upper left arm. This doesn't really symbolize anything, aside from his love of tribal culture, as well as design and way of life.

- Eye Line:
:: The vertical line that goes through his left eye is tattooed over the scar that went through his eye when he was young, rendering that eye blind. He got this tattoo while he was pained and angered, but has no regrets.

- Watercolor-based Tribal Tattoo:
:: The tattoo on his right arm is a watercolor-based tribal tattoo, with the blue portions being based off of a galaxy. It was inspired by his fascination of the night sky, as well as how he looked to it during his darkest times, to try and find a path in life. He got this tattoo when he was in a prison underground, wanting the night sky to look at. The tribal portions are just because he likes them, really.

- Back Tattoo :
:: Silas has a large tattoo on his back, which is a few geometric shapes put together. To him it symbolizes unity and conformity, as well as his belief that everyone has a part in society, although some more than others.

- Ankle Symbol:
:: The tattoo on his ankle represents a more Opus Dei-inspired eye, to symbolize that God is always watching.

- Tail Tattoos:
:: The tattoos on his tail are the ones that he despises. When he was younger, his father would cut into his tail, leaving many scars. Because of this, he covered it with various tattoos, until only little bits of skin are showing.
