Floc Name and reason:
Kalani
A hawaiian name which means 'of the heavens'
I decided on this name as the design makes me think of the sky with the clouds and stars and moons on him. I didn't want to go with just something relating to night as the design actually reminds me more of dawn and dusk so I decided heavens would work as heavens refers to the sky in general.

Vampire Flox do not show up in photographs or mirrors, what does your Floc think it looks like?
Kalani paused, staring into the mirror. He'd never cared for mirrors, or photographs, simply because he was never there. He'd never once been able to see his self. Everyone else was so able to confidently talk about their appearance but Kalani? No, he couldn't. Surprisingly, that bothered the little Floc more than it should have perhaps.
His friends would describe to him what he looked like, or attempt drawing him, but really it just wasn't the same as being able to stop in front of a mirror and look at himself. Oh he'd tried looking at anything vaguely reflective to see himself but nothing worked. He couldn't see himself.
Sometimes though he imagines what he looks like, what he'd see if he could view his reflection. What he knows he'd see is a Floc. Of course that was the obvious thing. That much, he knew just had to be true. Sometimes he doubted even that though. What if he wasn't? No, no, that was absurd. Of course he was a Floc!
What did his fur look like? Definitely soft, silky even. Colors? Had to be something odd. Maybe in some way he was reflective? Somehow to only mirrors and things reflective. Maybe it was just a reaction, to stay hidden better from predators. Not that he really had any predators to worry about.
What of his size? He felt to be maybe a tad bit smaller than other Floc, of course, not by much, he was no runt! He also didn't feel too slim or heavily built in size, perhaps about average really.
Though other times, this reasonable thought process to how he looked left him and he felt perhaps he might not even be a Floc after all. He was so much different compared to other Flox. Unable to see his reflection or have any photos of himself taken. What was he really? Some oddity. He didn't eat what other Flox ate, nor drink what they drank. He kept different hours, sunlight physically hurt. Yet other Flox... they had no problems with such things.
He was... an oddity, a monster. The proper word for it? Vampire. A small, nice looking Floc with what must be red eyes... all vampires have red eyes right? Sharp fangs, sharp claws... probably wings as well, bat wings of course, vampires turned into bats, though he'd tried, hadn't had luck in such things, not that he minded. He must be dark colored... no, beautiful, handsome to attract prey. That had to be it. Stereotypes said vampires were beautiful or handsome... or maybe they just gave off some sort of pheromone and he really was monstrous looking. That had to be it of course! He did have wings, fangs, and red eyes after all. He must look like a classic scary vampire. Not ugly though, no, he did have some sense of pride. He wasn't ugly, just... scary and intimidating.

Floc Name and reason: I chose Glass because her body looks as if you were looking through glass at a dark ocean or lake.

Write and/or Draw: Because of her name, Glass thinks she is literally made of glass. She also imagines having a glass cape and wings. She thinks her cape looks like stained glass, with 3 different colors. She imagines her wings being completely clear, with only a bit of shine to let you know it's there.

Hey, Vulpine here.
Sorry to be a bother, but I have a few quick questions before the contest ends.

1: Is it legal to get art ordered from someone else? I have someone interested in helping me out by doing more art, but I wasn't sure of how that would impact my form (like make me ineligible or something along that line) because I didn't know if it should explicitly be solely me doing art, or just have art in general.

2: Is it possible that we get a short extension? This contest was a few days shorter than most, I think, and even working around Advanced Placement exams and studying, I feel unable to fully complete the remaining few chapters of my story if the competition were to end in the roughly 12 hours when they usually do, since I will also be in school at that time. I could have it all wrapped up around 12 Saturday, since I will be able to freely work on it tomorrow afternoon and potentially Saturday morning.

If you're willing to put in the money or pets for your Floc, that's a reasonable sign of an appreciative owner.

I don't see any need for the extension since this is not a collaboration form.

I understand that a lot of you are in school and taking exams.
Please do not use this as an excuse to ask for an extension.
If you need to focus on school, focus on school. There will be many more Flox in the future.

It is also disrespectful to those who were working hard to study for exams while also making sure that their forms were completed on time.

A flicker of movement within the shadows... A faint rustling of fabric as a cape flowed across the grass. There was something out there... Lights turned on in the nearby village. Something moved at the edge of the light, a faint hiss sounding, as a creature retreated back into the shadows.

Hey, Clara here. <3 I currently own one Floc, #17 from the Foxfire litter, otherwise known as Akarui and In'ei; "Ru'ei" for short. Here I am again going for Floc #39.


N a m e ; ;
Koshmarov. This Floc takes great pride in his name for the simple fact his very name creates fear. Koshmarov is Russian for "Night Terror", more commonly known as a "Nightmare". The term nightmare is usually used to describe a dream gone bad; one moment it's all puppy dogs and rainbows, the next it's thunderstorms and graveyards.

Most Floc know what they look like... Unless they're blind. In a sense, Kosh may be considered blind as well. He cannot look upon a mirror or a reflective surface to see himself; because of how he appeared with his dark fur and pointed fangs, many took to calling him a vampire. He was not, of course; just an ordinary Floc. However, because of how susceptible the Flox are to how they make their way through life... He slowly started to believe them.

His fangs turned first; they were once just a tad too long. Now, they actually stick out of his mouth. Upon first finding them... Koshmarov had been fearful. He had heard stories of how vampires could turn others; the villagers near his home already feared him, but now with him turning even more into a vampire... Was it possible they would shun him more so now?

As it happened, they did. Words such as monster and screams of fear followed him as they drove him from the village; they threw their torches at him, shouted their fear, and chased him down. He barely escaped, his breathing ragged as he retreated to his cave home. He moved to the dark corners, finding solace there.
Before long, he felt anger and hatred begin to boil in his heart. He vowed that he would get his revenge upon them.
These feelings that overtook him... Began changing him faster than if he had simply let the situation lie and move on. His eyes began to glow an eerie red. His fur darkened a bit, becoming shaggier and a bit longer.
Koshmarov noticed these changes, but did not care. He wanted his recompense.

The night he decided to take his payment was clear; no clouds and the moon was full. The air was warm and dry, warning of a possible storm coming.
Koshmarov made his way into the village, sticking to the shadows as he believed vampires did... His red eyes are what gave him away. His altered appearance terrified the people, as now they knew they were right.
The full moon was out, and the vampire Floc was on the hunt. His anger drove him towards the nearest person, but he stopped. The person was a child; a little girl who did not appear to be afraid of him in the least.
He let out a snarl, pinning his ears back, and she merely giggled at him. In her hands she clutched some fabric that was a blue-orange gradient; it appeared to have been spattered by something, and it could almost be blood if it wasn't for the colour.
Koshmarov glared at the girl as she neared him, holding up the material as she did so; it was a cape. His vanity got the better of him, and he allowed the girl to place the fabric around his shoulders.
Now he looked the part.
As he was turning to view how the cape looked on him, he caught a glimpse of a reflective surface; a metallic shield. He approached it, and saw nothing. The final piece had fallen into place.
He was a vampire.


H i s - A p p e a r a n c e ; ;
In short, Koshmarov has come to believe that he looks like most vampires, albeit a little scruffier. He feels that he has changed since he last remembered being able to see himself (before he turned); he is no longer light in fur and has glowing red eyes. Typical to most vampires.
However, he also feels that he is handsome and could 'woo' those around him if he chose to do so.
He has a habit of stealing crosses from others, and enjoys wearing them around his neck as a way to say that the 'holy power' has no effect on him. However, a bit of an effect is there; they feel heavy and wearing them for long periods of times make his fur begin to singe around the metal, although he never feels the effects right away.
