Tess is a nomad, a wanderer almost always on the move. Some say this is because her job requires traveling, others say she is trying to find some deeper meaning to life. Tess really isn't sure either, all she knows is that some large piece of her deep inside has always urged her to explore, to discover, and travel. To go to distant and far off lands that she knows nothing about. To meet new and strange people, to make friends all over the world. To go on crazy adventure and tell the wildest stories that most people can barely believe are true. To make memories and capture the world around her in a picture. You see, Tess is on a mission of sorts, a mission that is both one of her greatest passions besides traveling and because it is also her job. To go out to the far corners of the world and capture the most breathtaking, unbelievable, and awe inspiring places out there. Her job is to make people wonder, to make people gasp in awe and to fill them with curiosity. Her job, is taking pictures for National Geographic magazine. It is truly her dream job, to be paid to travel and explore to go to far off lands, to be paid to discover and capture the world, it is the perfect job for her as it fulfills her two greatest passions traveling and photography.

Even though Tess is a natural born wanderer/explorer everyone needs a home, and hers is located in Fairbanks Alaska. She moved from her childhood home to Fairbanks to be closer to FAI, the Fairbanks international airport so she could travel more easily.
She has a small two bedroom town house that is littered with both pictures of her adventures and small souvenirs she's collected along the way.
Her house is longer than it is wide, an older townhouse with aged brick on the outside, and old dark oak wood floors, and crown molding on the inside. It has a small entryway with a staircase on the left with a closet underneath the staircase, and a long narrow hallway to the kitchen, the right side opens up to a small sitting or living room with a large window in the front and bookshelves lining the far wall adjacent to two cozy chairs facing the window. Down the hall to the right is the kitchen, it is small but bright kitchen with two large windows to the backyard and a slight modern feel, with a large island/breakfast bar, to the left the kitchen flows into an eating area that has a small table with four seats around it, and a door that leads to the small fenced in backyard.
Straight up the stairs is a door leading to the bathroom, to the right is the guest room and slight down the hall towards the front of the house is Tess's bedroom, a small cozy room with a big comfortable bed and a massive closet full of sweaters, and a large window overlooking the street outside.

At this point you may be wondering, "Why the sweater?" Well, Tess grew up in a small rural town called Birch Creek in Alaska, and even way back then Tess had a wanderlust in her so she grew up exploring the wilderness around her. She grew up in a small house just her and her mother whom she was very close to, and though her mother didn't mind Tess exploring the wild she worried about her freezing as it was very cold year round in the town of Birch Creek. So, Tess's mother made her a sweater to keep her warm as she explored, and Tess wore that sweater every day almost never taking it off. In fact Tess got most of her sweaters from her mother, as birthday or other holiday presents and she loved everyone of them. Her favorite sweater though is a dark brown sweater her mother made her as a gift to congratulate her for getting her dream job at National Geographic years ago, and to this day it is still her favorite sweater she wears it everyday and rarely takes it off no matter the weather where she is she wears the sweater as a reminder of her sweet mom and the small rural town she grew up in.
