Good luck, all! There are some pretty amazing forms up~ I wish I had paced myself so I had more time to work on my form, but hey, I still liked it.

akela had arrived a bit late to her job; well, as late as she
could. the watch on her wrist read 2 am. her hair created
a halo of strays around her head and her cheeks were flushed,
matching the pink dress she wore. people were jumping, crashing
against each other, yelling mindlessly into the night. akela
surveyed the area, standing much taller among everyone
in the crowd. she'd slid quietly through the back, disguised
as a tall blonde with callouse hands and neon runes going up
the sides of her legs. a picture perfect copy; well, besides
her own glowing eyes and djinn marking that wrapped across
her arm. she was dressed tonight she was here only to party. no
responsibilities, no "someone threw up in the dj booth again"
complaints, and no one to bother her. tonight she was alexa
ndria van buren: belgian model, daughter of a french diplomat,
, wife of a filthy rich cardiologist, and akela's alter ego. tonight,
akela was ready to have fun and be someone else for a change.

history: akela is a false djinn, or genie. her history is
a confusing tale. her father, and occult follower
and practicing sorcerer, created her from fire and
his blood, as the story of creation of djinn follows.
she was born in morrocco, raised as a normal girl
up until the power she held revealed itself; prophecy.
visions of the future. she kept them hidden from
her father as long as she could, up until a strange
mark on her arm began to appear. it was only then
that she rushed to her father and learned of her true
nature: akela was a false djinn, or an attempted
creation of a djinn. she possessed certain abilities
that hinted at a truer nature, and soon her personality
would begin to align more with a djinn's mischievous
one.

horrified, and angry, she fled from her hometown of
essaouria to the larger city of marrakech at 18.
poor, scared, and lonely, akela tried to learn more
about her true identity and the powers she held.
she began to use them to her advantage. setting
up as a fortune teller at night and stealing from
pockets by day. in a party city like marrakech, with
thousands of people flooding through its streets by the
day, she quickly earned enough to support herself.

the nightlife of the city had intrigued her and at 21,
akela became invested in the party scene. she worked
the whole scene; from being a bartender to a body guard,
akela manipulated her way to the top until
she owned a nightcub herself. the feeling of everyone
depending on her and importance she had made her feel
amazing. on the side, akela had begun to take an interest
in beauty and fashion. being in such a large city, looks were
important. akela often looked to youtube for tutorials and
looks. eventually, she made her own. a beautiful face like
hers quickly gained popularity and soon, she became a huge
face for beauty gurus. she now lives her life as normal as
possible, but is not rejecting the nature that slowly creeps
over her.

personality: the akela of essaouria and the akela of
marrakech are two very different people. she used to
be a cheeryand happy young girl, with a bright smile
always on her face. now, there is barely a ghost of
that smile. the akela now is reserved and quiet outside
of parties. not because she is shy, or introverted as
many assume. she just keeps to herself, observes others
and holds her own secrets. she doesn't interact with many,
but the friends she does have know that she isn't that
much different from what she puts out.

she has a deadpan sense of humour that confuses many
as she is already serious in general. being serious is
something that makes her a great leader, though. akela
is very stoic and doesn't let her emotions get in the way
of her duties. she's cutthroat and relentless when it calls.
as a boss, she's a leader by nature. honesty, loyalty, and
getting a job done right are all important things to her.

My reasoning for picking your form was in general the idea was something that in a way, hit home with me. I really loved the uniqueness to your form and the quality of the idea and writing in general was really easy to get into and feel a part of.
The colors of the kalon just somehow clicked with the idea. Her name was really fitting as well and I thought the personality paired with it nicely!!

It was a really tough call between the two of you and so I had to have guest judges come in. In the end, we decided you deserve a runnerup!!
Your form was really cute and I could tell you put a lot of effort into it. I really enjoyed reading the relationships section!
