how does dereun help others?
dereun unknowingly offers advice to those who ask for it. he's not wise or in anyway trying to help, but those who have heard and adhered to his words have found them to be ever useful and correct. as an individual who has never quite cared much for being antagonised with his words, dereun is straightforward, and would always remain neutral, correcting those in the wrong no matter who they could be. it's not a bad thing, per se. he's just not afraid of giving others a piece of his mind. and if he helps them in the process? great.

why does he help them?
he doesn't. it just naturally flows out from him when he hears something that he had a solution to. dereun doesn't call it helping as much as he calls it speaking his mind. well, whether they listen is their problem, not his, and he could quite care less. if it helped them, great. if not, then oh well, big deal, ain't nothing to do with him.
