║ Mac ║ Prompt 4
║ team: squid
▷────────────────────────────────Mac has been walking the beach for hours now, dragging his legs, following the
seagull. "Sooner or later I'll.." Mac would think, but would then forget what he was thinking.
Completely dehydrated, and hungry, his thoughts became a mess. He suddenly stopped.
Sat down on the hot sand that burned his feet. He took last gulp of the water left
in his flask. He looked at the seagull, who mockingly stopped, and waited for Mac
to continue walking. Mac instead smiled at the bird and laid down. "Y'a know Bob the bird, I give up. You won!" The seagull suddenly screeched "Yep, you heard me. Take the map. Feed it to your kids or something. I ain't following you no more." As he said that, he closed his eyes, and slowly fell asleep.
The water tickling his feet woke him up, it was night now. Mac looked around himself, then picked up his flashlight. "Well. Gotta go back now.. I guess." He yawned and shrugged. Before moving on, he took one last look behind, to see if Bob was there, by some chance. He wasn't. All there was left, was one white feather. Mac slowly walked over it, picked it up, and put it in his hair. "Bob, that was a good match. I hope I'll see you again.. soon." He smiled, and started walking back to the cruise. The sand was cold now, the moon shined above the sea that quietly sang its song- but Mac didn't hear just the sea. No, Mac heard actual singing. It was a male voice, he couldn't understand it fully, but one word was sure, "pizza", Mac became hungry. He wondered where was this song coming from? He walked a bit towards the land, it grew quieter, "No", Mac thought, it can't be coming from the sea, right? True, Mac was tired, but was he..that tired? Hearing songs about pizza tired? He questioned his sanity as he walked, picking up a pace now. Suddenly the singing stopped. Mac didn't even notice it stopped, only later did he realize it, and just as he was thinking about it, he stepped on something. He looked down. It was a white cardboard box, with a green diagonal stripe, and red words written on it, "PiZZA". Mac looked at it, shocked, but the box looked frightungly familiar. Mac shrugged and took the box
"It's bad to litter"
He said, and got lost in the night.
