Regan is a shut in.Shutting himself out from the rest of the world.But despite being a shut in he loves to be happy,having fun in the great indoors.To put it in short the reason why he doesn't sleep at night is because it's so dark in his house that he can't even tell if it's day or night.He's trapped in his own mind and trapped in his own house.Living his life in the shadows while his one friend tries to bring him out of the dark and into the light

Why don't they sleep at night? ;; its not that he doesn't sleep. he just doesn't do it when most do. that's because he works the night shift.

he embraces the moon when it comes over the hill, in the way that one may embrace the morning sun. then he's off to work. but where?

well, abernathy works for the fbi, he's a guard. exciting right? not so much, as the place he is guarding is mcb quantico. which sounds cool enough, but unfortunately, it's just for training, so the only excitement goes on during the day, and even then, there aren't any criminals.

abernathy enjoys his job enough though, at least it pays well, and he does enjoy looking around the hollow town. it's kind of eerie.

most would probably quit after a while, considering 9 pm to 5 am aren't the nicest work hours, but abernathy wouldn't ask for more. he loves the dark. being known for acting shady, why wouldn't he? of course, he isn't actually up to anything bad, or else the fbi wouldn't have hired him. he does put up a mean fight though.

the main reason he likes the job though, is because he gets a ton of time to chill during the day, especially since it's quiet when everyone else is at work.

i know this isn't thought through completely, as there is probably training at night, but please spare me ;;

Why don't they sleep at night? ;;
Would an owl sleep at night? No. Neither will Othion. He got his nickname because he's nocturnal. Othion was raised by a female caracal, having been lost as a kit. For some reason, she saw him as prey, and not a threat or food source, thus, she took him in and raised him with her other kit. This kicked his brain into a nocturnal schedule, as caracals are nocturnal animals. His adopted mother taught him stealth, agility, and intelligence, and nowadays he uses them to protect his city from crime as the vigilante known to be the Caracal, in honor of his mother, who was killed by a human hunter shortly before he rejoined his own kind. When he found he didn't fit in, due to his quiet, solitary nature and his nocturnalism, he decided to adopt vigilantism, hoping to help others from becoming orphans like himself. He's known to use only his teeth and claws to defeat a villain, and to slip away into the shadows unnoticed when the job is done, and the police arrive to round up the criminals. Of course, after every night, he slinks through the darkness, finding a quiet place to go to bed for the night, undisturbed.

Why don't they sleep at night? ;;
Kyla has frequent nightmares of his past. Most of them are just memories, it's as if he's there, living them again. The worst ones come when he's at his best, too. On occasion, after having a particularly bad one, he's had to stay home all day to recover. He misses his friends so much, but he knows he couldn't have done anything to save them. He blames himself anyway.

Flashbacks are painful for him; they actually cause him to cry and feel weak sometimes. (He is much more susceptible to pain than most.)

Another thing that keeps him awake at night are the voices of his own insecurities. They tell him negative thoughts that are very hard to escape from most of the time. He is not comfortable with sharing what it is they say to him.

In order to calm down, he drinks hot chocolate. Sometimes, he finds himself drinking hot chocolate at 3 am multiple times a week. Other times he finds himself only doing it once. It all depends. He just knows that he needs to keep his pantry stocked just in case.

(I promise I'm not trying to be depressing ;n; it just kind of happened...)

Why don't they sleep at night? ;; Zebulon is a optimistic dreamer and believer. Meaning that he would spend most of his nights letting his fantasies getting the best of him and taking over of the thing called sleep. From that he gained insomnia from, so that also contributed. He thought about his goals and where those would get him, so most of the time he was a bit spaced out. He would often even doubt himself about his goals and what he wanted to do, but wanted to see how it would all unfold in his life.

He would often question why he existed, or how life was possible, so he would let those kinds of ideas eat at him. It would be safe to say that he's trying to figure life all out, but can't. Anyone that would catch Zebulon getting some shut-eye, is when he could absolutely not stay awake anymore. But once he wakes up, it's back to the same nocturnal cycle.

argus works through the night.
always a solitary kalon, argus found at a young age that, when everyone else was asleep, the world seemed far more welcoming. in his youth, he stayed up as late as he could, enjoying the peacefulness of a silent house, and occupied himself with reading books about ancient history and antique artefacts.
this kithood interest lead to his choice of occupation - he found a placement as a night watchman at a museum. at first, the dark rooms filled with strange objects frightened him, but he grew to love the quiet hours that awaited him on his shifts - there was rarely anything to deal with, and he could spend his time pacing the corridors, torch in hand.
eventually, this routine caught up with him, and he now spends most of his days sleeping and his nights either working or just performing his usual day-to-day (or night-to-night) tasks. though his friends believe he must be lonely on those long, solitary shifts, argus enjoys them, and would not change his job for the world.

When he first bought his apartment, he was very excited. He had gotten it for SUCH a good deal! But he had never stayed there overnight, so poor Rowan didn't know. When he threw in the towel for his first day there, and headed of to bed, he almost fell asleep instantly. Almost. Because, before long, he heard a baby crying, from his neighbor's place.
That's alright. He thought/ He would just wait for it to stop. But the baby was relentless, and suddenly he heard the familiar sound of a train whistle. He had forgotten the railroad tracks near the building. Rowan put a pillow over his head, but to no avail. Just as the train passed by, he heard the boisterous hum of a construction drill. He spent the whole night wide awake, as more and more sounds cluttered the night.
The apartment, was cursed as some say it. For who ever stays there has never, never, to fall asleep. The only sleep poor Rowan gets is outside his room, decked out on the hallway floor.

abbott is blind, and so whether the sun is up or not doesn't bother him all that much. nighttime, he finds, is much more peaceful and still, and so it is then he chooses to be most active. this works out surprisingly well, as he is a call centre operative (and there are always people on the other side of the world to talk to). Even better, he gets paid a little extra to work in the middle of the night.

Honestly, he doesn't really understand the big deal about this so-called great flaming ball in the sky, and why everyone needs to be awake to experience it. (Is it not there everyday? And wait, you can't even look at it? What? ""It's too bright""" so does everyone just shut their eyes the whole time? Isn't that what you sighted folks have to do to not see? Looking at stuff or not looking at stuff all the time sounds like a lot of work honestly)

Why don't they sleep at night? ;; tristan rarely tells anyone why he goes to school with large, dark bags under his eyes, and why he always wants to sneak a nap between classes, and why he never pays attention to anything. it was embarassing, he claims. nope, not insomnia. something else. the truth was, tristan liked someone. a lot. he had been having plans to confess to this one lovely kalon ever since the first day... but tristan couldn't do it. he was an outcast and particularly shy. there was no way he could bring himself to just out right tell her he had feelings for her- there was no way. and so, every night, he began to think of millions of ideas on how to confess to her- what to say, what to do, all that. and every night, when he thought he had settled on one thing, he couldn't bring it upon himself to actually do it the next day. it kept him up hours and hours, practicing and talking to himself again and again, thinking about how she would react if he did this or did that. it was no use, really. but still, he was determined to make something work.
