"Nala, are you ready yet? This isn't the time for taking your time! We're losing daylight!" Alan called, only to jump back slightly as the bedroom door swung open, his smaller sister peering out and glaring at him, almost making his shrink back.
"Don't rush me Al, we're making this surprise for your kids, remember." She said, before shutting the door, and Alan sighed, slumping his shoulders...of all days, she had to be taking her time today.
"Besides, its your own fault for not telling me earlier, I barely had time to throw anything together...I hope they'll like it...then again, being our kids, they shouldn't be too hard to impress." Alan could sense that Nala was just kidding with that comment, and he rolled his eyes.
"They shouldn't be too hard to impress, tell that to the many toys they've thrown away." He murmured, tapping his foot impatiently as he heard his sister walk around in her room doing whatever - he would have to get these floors fixed, one day...
"Ok, done. Move out of the way - coming out, this box is pretty big." Nala called, and as soon as Alan had indeed moved back, ducking around the closest corner, no sooner had his stunted sister come out of her room...wow, she hadn't been kidding when she had said it was a big box. He quickly went over, taking it off her hands, despite the fact she tried to say she could handle the height and weight.
"Don't want you dropping this or there will be nothing to give the pups! Don't worry, I'll handle it, you just worry about leading to where I have to put this thing."
Nala only narrowed her eyes, but eventually let him carry it reluctantly, just shaking her head in response.

"Hi auntie Nala!" The colourful wolf smiled at the two young pups, going to give them each a hug. "Hey kiddos, excited for the halloween feast tonight?"
One pup giggled at 'feast', and she smiled widely. "Why don't the two of you go upstairs and get dressed - your dad bought you both costumes, right?"
One pup, Aksal, seemed confused at that, and Nala played it off, looking a bit shocked. "He didn't tell you? For this, you have to dress up! Of course, let it be Alan to forget...but I'm sure we can find something around here for the two of you to wear." Nala told the pups, grabbing a hand of each before heading upstairs, turning to the closest door. When she went to open it, it seemed to be jammed. "Hmm...come on pups, I need you to push with all your might!"
She stood back and let the two young ones push the door, waiting until it opened, the box having been in the way, and she gestured for the pups to open it. Aksal was the first to squeal once the present had been revealed, going to hug and thank her.
Inside the box was two costumes - one of a skeleton, and one of a werewolf - as well as the bottom of the box being covered in candy, at least a few inches.
Their first halloween it seemed, at least, was a success - and a treat.

This is Yung-Mi's best rendition of a marshmallow - cottonballs glued together and fluffed up. She looks more like a cloud, honestly, but at least she tried. Her sibling is pleased she did her best.



Weekly Prompt: Treat

Nagisa was dreaming.

Around her were the sweets of her everyday life - bright wrappers with polka-dots covered the legs of the winged-candies. They walked and danced around her, swirling in tumbles and floating movements. If she didn't know better, she would've sworn they were dancing intricate ballet moves. She laughed as they leapt around her.
Glancing to her left, she saw a small mouse dart out of the wall, maple syrup and chocolate dripping down after it. She smiled, holding out a paw for the creature.
It crawled over to her, leapt into her outstretched arm, and snuggled deep into her chest, burrowing its nose into her fluffy fur. She patted it gently, whispering, "Pyotr, there's no need to be afraid. I won't hurt you." The mouse almost looked like candy himself, what with his tiny black body, sickly-skinny legs and paws, and swirled face resembling a peppermint in the shade of blue. His curled tail was like a miniature pitchfork, and his ears were much like those of an elephant - far too large for such a small head, and such an odd shade of teal and yellow compared to the majority of his body and color scheme.
Nagisa slowly petted him. "Pyotr, my sweet. Don't fret, dear."
Pyotr's racing heart slowly calmed. His breathing became easier, and more fluid.
"You are safe here. There's no need to worry. I won't let anything harm you." She flipped her hood up over her hair, covering her scalp and tucking Pyotr onto her shoulder, feeling his body nuzzle between her shoulder and neck.
"Agh!" she cried out suddenly, glancing down to her side. Her Soul Gem burned, searing her flesh. With a frown, she squirmed, trying to alleviate the pain. Move as she might, nothing stopped the fire licking at her right side.
With a fearful cry, she felt her body change, morphing into something she had not experienced in several months. Her eyes snapped open, and she snarled. "Charlotte's here," she growled, "and she's ravenous."
She spun around, glancing rapidly about for something to fill her aching stomach and stop the pain from the barb embedded into her skin. She spotted the flying candies and leapt up, eating them in one large gulp. Finally finding herself filled, she slowly deflated, morphing into a phase she was all-too-familiar with. "Bebe!" she said, just loud enough for Pyotr to hear and stir against her neck, stretching and looking up at her. He squeaked.
The pain started again. Bearing into her side like an angry swarm of fire ants, it didn't stop, no matter how she moved. She rolled on the ground, leapt into the air, blew upon the sore spot, rubbed at it, clawed at it...everything was done in vain.
She shifted back to her normal form, sighing in frustration. "Pyotr, what should I do? Eating doesn't stop this pain, and shifting clearly isn't solving anything..."
Pyotr squeaked again, merely nuzzling his nose into the fur at her neck.
A shadow fell over the two.
Nagisa tilted her head back, and stared up at the monstrosity towering over her. Her side was so painful, tears were streaming down her face. She screamed in fright, grabbing Pyotr for dear life as she tumbled back, falling through thin air.

She was still screaming when she awoke.
Mami raced into the room, her hair still pulled back from her bath. Water dripped from some of the bits of her fur, and a towel was wrapped around her tail. A blue bathrobe was covering most of her body. "Bebe! What's wrong?"
Nagisa was frantic, clawing at the sheets, tearing them with her fine claws. "Get it away, Mami! Save me!"
Mami flicked on the light, growling at whatever had dared to hurt her child. When her eyes scanned an empty room, she sighed in relief.
Nagisa was breathing heavily, and seemed to be flinching.
Mami frowned as she trotted over to the bed, gently placing a paw onto Nagisa's shoulder. "My Bebe - what's wrong? You're safe - you're in your room with me. Nothing can hurt you while I'm here."
"My side," she gasped, tears starting to form in her eyes.
Mami looked at the candy-shaped Soul Gem closely, and then realized what was wrong. "I'll be right back Bebe. I'm going to get you something to help, okay?"
Nagisa nodded wordlessly.
Mami left, but was back in a flash. She held a cold, wet cloth to Nagisa's side.
The pup finally was able to calm down. "I'm sorry, Mami. I didn't mean to interrupt you..."
"You're fine, my sweetheart," Mami murmured.
"Why does my side hurt so much, Mami?"
"Because...well, we're not like other wolves."
"Yes, Mami - you have a marking in your ear, and I have one on my tummy on the side. But why? Why do we have these things? What do they mean?"
Mami was silent as she figured out how to tell her child the truth. "They're Soul Gems. We weren't born with them - we entered into a contract and recieved them as our portion to uphold."
"But...what ARE these Soul Gems, Mami?"
"When you're old enough to fight, I will tell you. We have been set apart to help this world in a different way than most wolves. We bear that burden every night we sleep, and every morning when we rise."
"I don't understand."
"You will when you're older," she said with a chuckle. "Now, what did you dream about?"
Nagisa told her.

The next day when Mami came back from grocery shopping, she held a present for her daughter.
Nagisa happily ripped open the paper to find a small, black mouse with pink ears and paws and a tail to match. His watery, black eyes met hers.
Mami smiled down at her child's gleeful face. "I think we should name him Pyotr. What do you think?"

" Of course! For the first candy corn costume you get 10 tokens, and a total of 20 tokens for the other 4! Then for the candy/toffee apples you get 10 for the first and 4 for the second. Particularly love Avatrice's costume, even if they do look like feathers instead of leaves! ^w^

Aksal tried to fit on his werewolf costume, his tail wagging with a wide grin on his face as he kept thanking Nala for getting it for him.
"Can we go quickly to trick-or-treat?"
Alan seemed to disapprove of that, but Nala looked at her brother and gently flicked his head. "I'll take them in my witch costume, don't worry."
She could still see that her brother was worrying about the kids, and she only rolled her eyes before turning to the two pups. "Come one, werewolf and skeleton. We can stay out for an hour - by then the food should be all cooked."
Aksal squealed in delight, and raced everyone else outside the house, nearly tripping down the stairs as he went - he was luckily able to catch himself, and Nala made sure to catch up with the young pup and ask if he was alright - thankfully, it seemed that he was...only out of Alan's sight for a few moments and the pup had already almost managed to hurt himself.
"Are you sure that you can be a werewolf? You're so clumsy!" Nala grinned, and Aksal took fake offence to that.
"I'm the best werewolf!"

Vampire

"...mum, really?"
"Shush, I made sure that Kagura and Shalidar would be distracted for a while, so I could dress you up...this is a very thought out costume."
"You literally just bought it all from the reject shop!"
That earned him a slightly painful tap on the nose, and Obito flinched back, going to rub it gently. "Why are you so mean just leave me in peace. I've heard what you've done to the others."
"But I have targeted pretty much everyone else except for you...so please be quiet and let me concentrate or I will make this turn out extremely horrible, understood?"
Obi said something under his breath, copying his mother's lines and earning him a tug on the ear.
"Understood?"
"...yes mother, whatever you say."

Obi opened his mouth once he had a chance to look in the mirror, inspecting the fake teeth his mum had forced him to put in. "I think these might fall out."
"They'll only fall if you make them. Now sit back down, I still have to fit the cloak and touch up your hair-"
"Woah not the hair that's off limits." Obi scowled, shaking his head and defensively putting his hands up to his head - but Ida forced him to sit down and threatened to tie his hands together, so he eventually gave up and let go.
"Don't make it turn out too badly...I have to have some dignity left."
Ida only rolled her eyes, getting the comb and painfully, purposefully tugging it on his head to make him yelp a bit.
"Now shut up and let me work, otherwise we won't get this done in time!"
It was only about an hour or so later she had finished, making his face as pale as she could and added fangs, a cape and even slicking his hair back. Ida thought she had done a good job, but Obito thought otherwise.
Nonetheless, she forced him to go show Kagura and Shalidar, despite his protesting.

"Aww come on dad, I think you look great. Besides, mum is gonna love this, don't worry!" Idabelle stepped back to admire her handy work, while Sasuke huffed, obviously disapproving of this as a whole.
"Halloween is for children-"
"But mum loves sweets, and chocolate happens to be one, no? Exactly, so stop complaining, you're going to be great, don't worry."
She soon finished, tail wagging before giving him a mirror. "Have a look! How well did I do? I think you look absolutely fabulous."
Sasuke took the mirror and peered into it...his face, was covered in some sort of brown dust, and he was covered in some places as what seemed to be coloured foil.
"You're a chocolate bar still partially wrapped up! Do you like it?"
Sasuke just put the mirror down, scowling at his daughter and muttering something under his breath.
Why did he have to suffer.

Jelly/Gummi

"Oh no, not again, I am not being your subject for this Ida."
"Aww come on, please?" But her father refused, narrowing his eyes slightly.
"Go ask...Sam, or something, I'm sure your sister will enjoy it."
"Sam...why didn't I think of this earlier! This could put her usually permenant frown upside down." And she quickly left him along, hauling the box she had bought with her along, holding her next great costume idea.

Upon arriving at her sisters, she knocked, and while it took a while, and there was the whining of pups in the background, the door eventually opened to reveal Samantha, the younger sister who actually looked exhausted, and she let out a sigh. "What do you want now Ida?"
"Costumes, let's go." Before Sam could even think of protesting, she had pushed her sister into the house again, closing the door with her tail and while holding the box, managed to drag her sister upstairs.
"W-wait what? No Ida let go of me!" She couldn't get rid of the grasp of her sister however, and with a scowl she decided to go along with it. "You're lucky I don't make you swallow whatever's in the box."
They got to the room, and Ida set the box down. It was a quick change, and revealed to be a costume of a gummi shark - literally. By the end Sam was nearly at the end of her straw, yelling and trying to push her sister out of the house, who looked extremely happy with her accomplishment.
"Don't worry sis, I think you and the shark have something in common, your appearance is worse than your bite!"

Liqourice

"Sit still will you? It's not easy to comb your hair back sweetie."
"One I don't exactly want it combed back or dyed...two you're really weird with this hobby mum."
Ida looked down at Sandy with a smile at her daughter, patting her head - although this seemed to be the only time Sandy wasn't appreciating the affection. "But you look great, don't worry. The dye is wash out, it'll go back to brown in a few days, I promise."
"Alright...what are you dressing me up as?"
"Well I can't exactly tell you yet...but it's all liquorice themed..."
Sandy made a face at that, she hated the stuff and Ida knew this, yet she was still making her do this? Unbelievable...
"Now comes the hard part, sit very still so none of this sprays into your eyes, ok?"

Sandy was fairly happy with the end result - and it seemed to be Idabelle's most successful costume...and mostly that was because for once, she wasn't getting chased or kicked out of her own house.
"Wow...you actually did good. Now, what am I?"
"You could say a spy or agent...you smell very much like liquorice, and you're covered in black - like the stuff. You look undercover and very good."
Sandy winced once the smell came to her, but she smiled. "I guess you're right...I'm the liquorice spy!"

Caramel/Toffee

"Why did I ever agree to let you set me up to this?"
Ida looked up at her brother with a grin, all of Cass' eyes looking a tad disappointed at herself, and she flicked her tail. "Because we have the best brother-sister relationship that's why, you know if you didn't it would upset me-"
"Not like I had a choice to say no."
Ida could only chime in that he was correct, tail wagging. "Aw, cheer up bro. It's not like this is the end of the world...just the end of your sanity, right?"
Cass decided not to talk, but she could tell that he usually quiet brother was close to saying something way out of character...luckily for her, he decided not to, and kept his mouth shut.

"There, all done!"
Cass went to go have a look at himself, and nearly shrieked. "What did you do to me?!"
It looked like he had been just dipped in caramel, some still dripping off, and Ida came over with a grin.
"You're like a monster made out of caramel! And I thought the flowers add a more...natural feel."
After that she had to comfort her poor brother that she didn't mean to harm his flowers...although it was too late to save them.

"Come on, come on, come on! You promised me that we could go, but we're still here waiting! What's taking you so long?" A brown and white wolf was pacing, her usual carefree and childish personality now stumped with a rather serious gaze as she stared at her sister, who seemed to be taking her time getting ready.
"Hold it Ambs, some things you can't rush...there, done, ready to go miss demanding?" Frost murmured, flicking her ears softly as she grabbed their trick-or-treating baskets to take along, and Amber instantly lightened up.
"Yeah, lets go! We might've missed all the biggest and best candy by now!" Amber was running out the door and calling over her shoulder as she went, obviously she wasn't very willing to slow down for her sister, who was a bit startled, before trying to follow as fast as she could.
"Wait for me Amber! If you even get so much as a scratch on you, Jarek and Sorley are gonna blame [i]me[/i] for it."

A few hours later, the night was falling slowly over the two wolves, who had decided to take a break, much to Amber's disappointment - she had wanted to keep going, to her, she wasn't done with getting enough candy yet...
"Let me just fix my costume up." Frost murmured, standing up to straighten it, and Amber flicked her ears curiously.
"Can I have a look at what candy you've gotten so far?" She questioned, and Frost nodded, so Amber grabbed her basket and dragged it over to her, having a quick look before she pouted, looking to her sister until Frost noticed, who just stared at her sister with a sigh, shaking her head at the rather childish look her sister was beginning to give her for whatever reason.
"What's wrong?"
"You have more candy than me!"
Frost couldn't help but smile, and she went to gently ruffle her sister on the head, making her tone a teasing one. "Thats because I have the bigger candy - I don't have more, they just weight more, so really I have less. Your candy is smaller and more, much easier to eat than mine." Amber's face seemed to light up slightly at that, before Frost spoke again.
"Besides, you'll probably eat all of yours before next Monday, so I'll give you some of mine anyway. Are you ready to continue?"
"H-hey!" Amber's face flushed. "I don't mean too...but yes!" She set Frost's basket aside and jumped to her feet, tail wagging. "Let's go!"
Frost then picked up her own basket, and taking her sister by the hand, they continued their search for treats and candy.

"...now you three be safe, you hear? I don't want Scooter coming home and telling me that you all misbehaved."
Victor, Luna and Mida all gave nods, their tails wagging before they ran to their older brother, who flicked his ears and looked down to his three younger siblings with a grin. They were dressed up as little pigs - while he was a big, bad wolf. "Alright, you all stay close to me, ok? No wandering off or trick-or-treating ends, and I don't thing you guys want that at all."
The pups all nodded obediently, and he grabbed the hand of one, leading the way, and making them create a chain while holding hands.
The first, second and third houses gave the four of them lots of candy, and while Scooter didn't eat candy very much, he could always split this between the younger three - or perhaps even save it for his parents or older siblings.
The fourth house, however, was a bit...strange.
He had knocked three times, and with no answer, he had turned to lead them away - but Victor claimed he heard a voice telling them to come in, and despite what Scooter had said just minutes before, he went to the door and turned the knob, opening it with a grin. Scooter whipped around as Mida and Luna let go of his hand and went to join their other brother.
"You three, come on! Mum told us not to get into troub-" But of course, the three youngsters went into the house, completely ignoring his word, and he sighed. "And its against the law."
While muttering under his breath, he went to follow, going to open the door wider when it suddenly swung open, banging and he nearly jumped out of his fur. A cackle was heard as fog seeped out.
"Why are you so scared bro? She's nice!"
Scooter looked once the fog had cleared, to reveal an elderly female wolf, who was holding a cone of ice cream out for him to take, much to his surprise. "Don't worry about these little ones coming in, all part of the show...they sure have some manners."
Scooter, still in shock, took the ice cream, his siblings coming to his side, and the old wolf retreating back into her house.
"Enjoy your treat!" She called, closing the door shut...that had to honestly be the weirdest encounter Scooter ever had with an elderly wolf.
Least to say, the younger three still got in trouble...but at least they all enjoyed their ice cream.

"Hey Nirvelli, you up?"
A brown toned wolf flicked an ear in response and grumbled that they were sleeping, before sleepily raising their head and looking towards the other who had spoken to them. "...Hamish?"
Their cousin flicked his ears, smiling down at them as they went to sit up with a yawn. "The sleepyhead is finally awake. Took you long enough."
Nirvelli only shook their head before stretching, trying to get the sleepy out of them before they actually attempted to try and stand up and do things that needed to be done for the day. There was no relaxing today, and perhaps if they were lucky, the weather down by the beach would be good enough later that they could go surfing.
"Well, what do you want Ham?"
"Don't call me that..." Hamish murmured, but then he went to take their arm and drag the other wolf to their feet, despite their complaining at the fact of getting forced. "But as for what I need from you...well, thats a surprised that only I know, little Nir. And its your job to find out."
Nirvelli was confused, tilting their head...although they did feel a tinge of curiosity. What did their cousin mean?
"You have to find what I need you for...if they even makes sense...anyways, there are notes all around, and you have to find what I've hidden!" Hamish said, clapping his hands together once before looking to his cousins un-amused face. "Aw, come on, it'll be fun I promise!"
"Ugh...just because you're family-"
"Only family."
"...yeaaaah, only family. So I'll do this for you, cuz."
Hamish grinned, pulling his cousin in a hug, nearly squeezing the air out of them. "Alright, have fun finding what it is, hope I didn't make it too hard!" He sneered, before running off to go...wherever he was heading.

So Nirvelli started on their trip - the first clue, which had been hidden under their own bed, had admittedly been a bit difficult to find...but after that, they started to get easier and easier, eventually ending up making the young wolf arrive at the beach. Much to their surprise, it seemed as if a party was set up.
"Hey Nir, you made you!"
They turned to face their cousin, confused as to what this was, and they grinned.
"I kinda forgot your birthday a few days ago...and since its halloween, I figured why not celebrate it now! Better time as any, right?"
Nirvelli, for once, felt tears almost start to fill their eyes, but then they gave a grin and pinched Hamish's face. "You know I didn't need this Ham...but I appreciate it, as long as there's lots of candy."

Aksal tried to fit on his werewolf costume, his tail wagging with a wide grin on his face as he kept thanking Nala for getting it for him.
"Can we go quickly to trick-or-treat?"
Alan seemed to disapprove of that, but Nala looked at her brother and gently flicked his head. "I'll take them in my witch costume, don't worry."
She could still see that her brother was worrying about the kids, and she only rolled her eyes before turning to the two pups. "Come one, werewolf and skeleton. We can stay out for an hour - by then the food should be all cooked."
Aksal squealed in delight, and raced everyone else outside the house, nearly tripping down the stairs as he went - he was luckily able to catch himself, and Nala made sure to catch up with the young pup and ask if he was alright - thankfully, it seemed that he was...only out of Alan's sight for a few moments and the pup had already almost managed to hurt himself.
"Are you sure that you can be a werewolf? You're so clumsy!" Nala grinned, and Aksal took fake offence to that.
"I'm the best werewolf!"

Vampire

"...mum, really?"
"Shush, I made sure that Kagura and Shalidar would be distracted for a while, so I could dress you up...this is a very thought out costume."
"You literally just bought it all from the reject shop!"
That earned him a slightly painful tap on the nose, and Obito flinched back, going to rub it gently. "Why are you so mean just leave me in peace. I've heard what you've done to the others."
"But I have targeted pretty much everyone else except for you...so please be quiet and let me concentrate or I will make this turn out extremely horrible, understood?"
Obi said something under his breath, copying his mother's lines and earning him a tug on the ear.
"Understood?"
"...yes mother, whatever you say."

Obi opened his mouth once he had a chance to look in the mirror, inspecting the fake teeth his mum had forced him to put in. "I think these might fall out."
"They'll only fall if you make them. Now sit back down, I still have to fit the cloak and touch up your hair-"
"Woah not the hair that's off limits." Obi scowled, shaking his head and defensively putting his hands up to his head - but Ida forced him to sit down and threatened to tie his hands together, so he eventually gave up and let go.
"Don't make it turn out too badly...I have to have some dignity left."
Ida only rolled her eyes, getting the comb and painfully, purposefully tugging it on his head to make him yelp a bit.
"Now shut up and let me work, otherwise we won't get this done in time!"
It was only about an hour or so later she had finished, making his face as pale as she could and added fangs, a cape and even slicking his hair back. Ida thought she had done a good job, but Obito thought otherwise.
Nonetheless, she forced him to go show Kagura and Shalidar, despite his protesting.

"Aww come on dad, I think you look great. Besides, mum is gonna love this, don't worry!" Idabelle stepped back to admire her handy work, while Sasuke huffed, obviously disapproving of this as a whole.
"Halloween is for children-"
"But mum loves sweets, and chocolate happens to be one, no? Exactly, so stop complaining, you're going to be great, don't worry."
She soon finished, tail wagging before giving him a mirror. "Have a look! How well did I do? I think you look absolutely fabulous."
Sasuke took the mirror and peered into it...his face, was covered in some sort of brown dust, and he was covered in some places as what seemed to be coloured foil.
"You're a chocolate bar still partially wrapped up! Do you like it?"
Sasuke just put the mirror down, scowling at his daughter and muttering something under his breath.
Why did he have to suffer.

Jelly/Gummi

"Oh no, not again, I am not being your subject for this Ida."
"Aww come on, please?" But her father refused, narrowing his eyes slightly.
"Go ask...Sam, or something, I'm sure your sister will enjoy it."
"Sam...why didn't I think of this earlier! This could put her usually permenant frown upside down." And she quickly left him along, hauling the box she had bought with her along, holding her next great costume idea.

Upon arriving at her sisters, she knocked, and while it took a while, and there was the whining of pups in the background, the door eventually opened to reveal Samantha, the younger sister who actually looked exhausted, and she let out a sigh. "What do you want now Ida?"
"Costumes, let's go." Before Sam could even think of protesting, she had pushed her sister into the house again, closing the door with her tail and while holding the box, managed to drag her sister upstairs.
"W-wait what? No Ida let go of me!" She couldn't get rid of the grasp of her sister however, and with a scowl she decided to go along with it. "You're lucky I don't make you swallow whatever's in the box."
They got to the room, and Ida set the box down. It was a quick change, and revealed to be a costume of a gummi shark - literally. By the end Sam was nearly at the end of her straw, yelling and trying to push her sister out of the house, who looked extremely happy with her accomplishment.
"Don't worry sis, I think you and the shark have something in common, your appearance is worse than your bite!"

Liqourice

"Sit still will you? It's not easy to comb your hair back sweetie."
"One I don't exactly want it combed back or dyed...two you're really weird with this hobby mum."
Ida looked down at Sandy with a smile at her daughter, patting her head - although this seemed to be the only time Sandy wasn't appreciating the affection. "But you look great, don't worry. The dye is wash out, it'll go back to brown in a few days, I promise."
"Alright...what are you dressing me up as?"
"Well I can't exactly tell you yet...but it's all liquorice themed..."
Sandy made a face at that, she hated the stuff and Ida knew this, yet she was still making her do this? Unbelievable...
"Now comes the hard part, sit very still so none of this sprays into your eyes, ok?"

Sandy was fairly happy with the end result - and it seemed to be Idabelle's most successful costume...and mostly that was because for once, she wasn't getting chased or kicked out of her own house.
"Wow...you actually did good. Now, what am I?"
"You could say a spy or agent...you smell very much like liquorice, and you're covered in black - like the stuff. You look undercover and very good."
Sandy winced once the smell came to her, but she smiled. "I guess you're right...I'm the liquorice spy!"

Caramel/Toffee

"Why did I ever agree to let you set me up to this?"
Ida looked up at her brother with a grin, all of Cass' eyes looking a tad disappointed at herself, and she flicked her tail. "Because we have the best brother-sister relationship that's why, you know if you didn't it would upset me-"
"Not like I had a choice to say no."
Ida could only chime in that he was correct, tail wagging. "Aw, cheer up bro. It's not like this is the end of the world...just the end of your sanity, right?"
Cass decided not to talk, but she could tell that he usually quiet brother was close to saying something way out of character...luckily for her, he decided not to, and kept his mouth shut.

"There, all done!"
Cass went to go have a look at himself, and nearly shrieked. "What did you do to me?!"
It looked like he had been just dipped in caramel, some still dripping off, and Ida came over with a grin.
"You're like a monster made out of caramel! And I thought the flowers add a more...natural feel."
After that she had to comfort her poor brother that she didn't mean to harm his flowers...although it was too late to save them.

"Come on, come on, come on! You promised me that we could go, but we're still here waiting! What's taking you so long?" A brown and white wolf was pacing, her usual carefree and childish personality now stumped with a rather serious gaze as she stared at her sister, who seemed to be taking her time getting ready.
"Hold it Ambs, some things you can't rush...there, done, ready to go miss demanding?" Frost murmured, flicking her ears softly as she grabbed their trick-or-treating baskets to take along, and Amber instantly lightened up.
"Yeah, lets go! We might've missed all the biggest and best candy by now!" Amber was running out the door and calling over her shoulder as she went, obviously she wasn't very willing to slow down for her sister, who was a bit startled, before trying to follow as fast as she could.
"Wait for me Amber! If you even get so much as a scratch on you, Jarek and Sorley are gonna blame [i]me[/i] for it."

A few hours later, the night was falling slowly over the two wolves, who had decided to take a break, much to Amber's disappointment - she had wanted to keep going, to her, she wasn't done with getting enough candy yet...
"Let me just fix my costume up." Frost murmured, standing up to straighten it, and Amber flicked her ears curiously.
"Can I have a look at what candy you've gotten so far?" She questioned, and Frost nodded, so Amber grabbed her basket and dragged it over to her, having a quick look before she pouted, looking to her sister until Frost noticed, who just stared at her sister with a sigh, shaking her head at the rather childish look her sister was beginning to give her for whatever reason.
"What's wrong?"
"You have more candy than me!"
Frost couldn't help but smile, and she went to gently ruffle her sister on the head, making her tone a teasing one. "Thats because I have the bigger candy - I don't have more, they just weight more, so really I have less. Your candy is smaller and more, much easier to eat than mine." Amber's face seemed to light up slightly at that, before Frost spoke again.
"Besides, you'll probably eat all of yours before next Monday, so I'll give you some of mine anyway. Are you ready to continue?"
"H-hey!" Amber's face flushed. "I don't mean too...but yes!" She set Frost's basket aside and jumped to her feet, tail wagging. "Let's go!"
Frost then picked up her own basket, and taking her sister by the hand, they continued their search for treats and candy.

"...now you three be safe, you hear? I don't want Scooter coming home and telling me that you all misbehaved."
Victor, Luna and Mida all gave nods, their tails wagging before they ran to their older brother, who flicked his ears and looked down to his three younger siblings with a grin. They were dressed up as little pigs - while he was a big, bad wolf. "Alright, you all stay close to me, ok? No wandering off or trick-or-treating ends, and I don't thing you guys want that at all."
The pups all nodded obediently, and he grabbed the hand of one, leading the way, and making them create a chain while holding hands.
The first, second and third houses gave the four of them lots of candy, and while Scooter didn't eat candy very much, he could always split this between the younger three - or perhaps even save it for his parents or older siblings.
The fourth house, however, was a bit...strange.
He had knocked three times, and with no answer, he had turned to lead them away - but Victor claimed he heard a voice telling them to come in, and despite what Scooter had said just minutes before, he went to the door and turned the knob, opening it with a grin. Scooter whipped around as Mida and Luna let go of his hand and went to join their other brother.
"You three, come on! Mum told us not to get into troub-" But of course, the three youngsters went into the house, completely ignoring his word, and he sighed. "And its against the law."
While muttering under his breath, he went to follow, going to open the door wider when it suddenly swung open, banging and he nearly jumped out of his fur. A cackle was heard as fog seeped out.
"Why are you so scared bro? She's nice!"
Scooter looked once the fog had cleared, to reveal an elderly female wolf, who was holding a cone of ice cream out for him to take, much to his surprise. "Don't worry about these little ones coming in, all part of the show...they sure have some manners."
Scooter, still in shock, took the ice cream, his siblings coming to his side, and the old wolf retreating back into her house.
"Enjoy your treat!" She called, closing the door shut...that had to honestly be the weirdest encounter Scooter ever had with an elderly wolf.
Least to say, the younger three still got in trouble...but at least they all enjoyed their ice cream.

A brown toned wolf flicked an ear in response and grumbled that they were sleeping, before sleepily raising their head and looking towards the other who had spoken to them. "...Hamish?"
Their cousin flicked his ears, smiling down at them as they went to sit up with a yawn. "The sleepyhead is finally awake. Took you long enough."
Nirvelli only shook their head before stretching, trying to get the sleepy out of them before they actually attempted to try and stand up and do things that needed to be done for the day. There was no relaxing today, and perhaps if they were lucky, the weather down by the beach would be good enough later that they could go surfing.
"Well, what do you want Ham?"
"Don't call me that..." Hamish murmured, but then he went to take their arm and drag the other wolf to their feet, despite their complaining at the fact of getting forced. "But as for what I need from you...well, thats a surprised that only I know, little Nir. And its your job to find out."
Nirvelli was confused, tilting their head...although they did feel a tinge of curiosity. What did their cousin mean?
"You have to find what I need you for...if they even makes sense...anyways, there are notes all around, and you have to find what I've hidden!" Hamish said, clapping his hands together once before looking to his cousins un-amused face. "Aw, come on, it'll be fun I promise!"
"Ugh...just because you're family-"
"Only family."
"...yeaaaah, only family. So I'll do this for you, cuz."
