Ra is very emotionless and straightforward, a kalon of the law and justice. He was raised to be next in line as chief though never really understood the pride in generation leaders. He doesn't seem to think for himself much, often enforcing rules and acting out the strong but silent stereotype. In reality, Ra is quite kind and enjoys nature along with painting, night walks and long conversation. Even around friends he rarely laughs, more often he has a pleased smile on his face when he isn't under the watch of his father and older brother.
His brother is a bit of rebel and isn't fit to be chief of police so Ra is the only one left in line; he's very serious on the job and tries not to let his personal feelings get in the way of his job. Ra enjoys silly thinks like parking maid, crossing guard, park patrol and other social activity where he can talk to people before having to pass out tickets. Of course, he isn't disappointed when he doesn't meet his ticket quota.
||History||
Raised under strict household, Ra was always studying for school and memorizing the law books to become a proper police officer. His mother was very caring and sweet, but often shadowed her true personality when his father was around. Thankfully his father was so busy running the office he got plenty of time alone with his mother. She showed him how to do other helpful things without having to be strong like sowing, drawing, painting and quilting. Art, she said, was helpful for the soul. Releasing creative energy was the best thing you could do for yourself.
Sowing and quilting had an easier seen purpose, such as fixing holes in socks and buttons on shirts or crafting blankets for people who needed them. He did these things in secret from his father knowing of the disapproval that awaited him when the older Kalon found out. His first pokemon passed down to him was a Charmander, naturally to honor the burning passion of Moltres. He didn't mind the fire pokemon being around, he showed it how to be creative too but the little lizard often burned things on accident.
As his team grew, he did as well catching himself a full team. Charmander is now a Charmeleon working alongside is Smeargle, Absol, Luxray, Vanilluxe and Sandslash. His constantly struggles to keep the less powerful pokemon on his team, but his mother has always supported him behind the scenes to keep him going.
||What makes them a good leader||
His physical strength can defend his people, his soft heart cares about them and giving nature passed down from his mother makes him just. He'll give to the needy but not take from the privileged, he'll sacrifice his own things so others can have a better life.
||Relationship with the other leaders||
The Thief
He met this girl for the first time at an eatery, but he can't remember which one for the life of him. The city is so dense and forever changing, he thought the place might have been torn down already. She was sweet talking a couple of young males out of some food, which in his mind was pretty suspicious. He continued to watch until the boys left, only to see her do the same thing to another gullible group. Once she left the establishment, he stopped her and asked what she was doing.
Turning out this natural thief was working for her dinner, but he didn't quite believe it at first as she worked her silver tongue to work her way out of being arrested. Officially however, she was just being shady and each of her scammed customers gave out their food willingly. Reluctant to offer her help due to her natural vibe, he let her go.
It was only a few days later he learned who she really was and how lucky he'd been not to anger her or her followers. He'd studied the other groups carefully after that, not wanting to have another run in that might damage him or his father's name.
The Spark
His fellow task force also had a son in line for chief, only they'd be taking over the west side of town while his office ran the east. Ra has mixed feelings about the other 'Chief to be' since he's much more instinctive thinking than acting by logic. Honestly, he's deeply annoyed by the other individual but does his best to get along with him. Unlike the thief, he can usually see through this guys silver tongue and play along if needed. Despite his annoyance with the spark, they've been distant friends for a long time.
||Relation to element||
Fire is a living, breathing that fights to keep burning in order to survive. Ra is also a strong survivor, no storm, blizzard or enemy will take him down that easily. His life is a raging forest fire, never willing to stop or burn out until he's ready.
||Short story||
The blue thief was caught once, but only once. After such an intense court session she'd likely never forgive herself if she failed her mission again. The thief had been caught on the border between east and west police territory by none other than Ra and the Spark; two very powerful soon to be leaders. They of course were fighting for the rights to claim her case, but in the end Ra decided to claim her stolen good and let her off with a warning. Since then the thief has visited him off and on to talk about stealing for him; but he's declined every offer so far. He still gets friendly visits from her, but keeps mostly to himself if possible.
||Favorite Pokemon partner and why||
Smeargle has been Ra's most valued companion for some time now, reminding him to express his creative side. Nicknamed Bast, this female Smeargle has a love for paint like most of her kind, helping Ra recall his talents aside from strength and power. Bast herself isn't very strong, so she relies on him for protection when it comes to wandering the real world. Out of his six pokemon, Smeargle understands him the best and isn't afraid to paint her feelings and thoughts.

Aside from painting with Bast, Ra has picked up tennis on the side for multiple reasons mostly involving his speed and coordination. He's a bit slow with his reactions, he has to learn to act rather than hesitate.

Ra identifies as heterosexual mostly due to his father not accepting much else, but he's a bit afraid to fall in love anyway. Recently he's picked up a few casual blind dates but nothing seems to stick. He'd love to have a mate and maybe kits someday if he got lucky enough to find his soul mate.
Extra 5; Dream
Ra's dream is to move away from the busy city and enjoy the freedom of the forest. Living in the country would be relaxing, pressure free... If his kits ever had to be born into the world, he wouldn't want them to pack the heavy responsibility he has.

Signed M. Colt Triox on papers, Mike's more proud of the sound of his whole name, rather than any single part.
Michael, meaning "Who is Like God?" is a challenge; a call to the storm to find a worthy opponent. Colton hearkens to his 'light in the darkness' ideals - "From the dark town" - as well as his colt-like attitude and sharpshooting wit. Lastly, Triox is a corruption of trios, the French word for three.

Personality:
Mike is passion personified. When he loves something, he holds it close and tight, and will do anything and everything to keep it. On the other hand, when he despises something, it's painfully clear, because he will make every attempt to tear it down, and destroy any evidence of its existence. As a result, he's often accused of being obsessed or paranoid... and perhaps he has an inclination toward those tendencies, but he'll never allow himself to be analyzed for any sort of diagnosis. He believes strongly in the force of honor, bravery, and the backlash of karma if one acts inappropriately. Mike doesn't tolerate underhanded tactics, stealth, or reliance on cunning or luck; they have no honesty to them, no barefaced pride in declaring one's own skill in such things.
Boldness is another attribute that Mike wears proudly. Even when his chances are small, he will take them and do what he can, often resulting in a broad area of damage and his own survival. He loves overpowered, full-burnt attacks over traps and clever little snares, which often results in some wounds and scars, most notably the one that crosses the bridge of his nose. Outsiders often call his methods "shock and awe", but it's probably more aptly named "flare and strike".

History/Backstory:
Mike wasn't born into a poor position or grew up in a hard life, rather the opposite - his family had money, he could have nearly anything he wanted, and he only wore the finest of uniforms to his private school, where he brought home mostly above-average grades. Life was made easy for Mike, but he hated the role that was left to him. He took the path he wanders now because it allowed him freedoms that a normal or privileged life could not, and gave him an outlet of expression that he sees as actually meaning something, and causing change in his world. It also gave him an opening to a dream he'd had since he was little - of finding the legendary birds, and earning acknowledgement from them as worthy - be it as an opponent or ally. He took to the claiming the streets in his late teens, after leveling Charlie up to a strong Charmeleon that could protect him in any bad scuffles, and rounding up as much money as he could muster from his savings to get supplies. His outfit changed to suit his lifestyle; away went the formal, neatly pressed school uniforms and in came the rough leather that gave off a bad boy image, protected him from wayward flames from his team while they trained, and kept him warm during the colder days while he patrolled his small territory in the city. His mane, once short and precisely cut, grew long - long enough for the back part to be wrapped in a loose bun behind his shoulders.

Meeting and joining up with Arty and Zap, initially, was a blessing. The trio could patrol and protect larger areas, shoving out the rougher groups that incited violence and hate, and staking their claim for everyone to see. They shared the same dream and goal in life, though for different reasons, but for a time, all was good; they were three friends, allied against all of the hate and cruelty in the city, and, in their downtime, working toward and fantasizing about the day that they might see the great birds face-to-face. However, good things can't last too long; The three couldn't agree on the best qualities of leadership, the best way to run their group, the strongest composition for a Pokemon team, or, indeed, the best thing to be fighting for, in their battles against their rivals.

Mike took back his old territory, but now has to keep an eye on the edges of the blue and yellow that border his own red on the map, marking his own areas with the fiery visage of Moltres.

What makes them a good leader:
Mike's wholehearted belief in bravery, honor, karma and boldness means he's always keeping an eye on not only himself, but those who follow him, for any inclination toward unsavory motives. He leads by example, by being impassioned, firey and wholeheartedly honest, which leaves very little for his opponents to hold onto when they try to drag his name through the mud. If he is at all ashamed of any of his actions as a leader, he makes it clear that he has regret, even when the move was for the betterment of him or his own.

Relationship with the other leaders:
Mike and Arty butt heads like two overgrown rams over leadership values, but given the chance, Mike wouldn't mind setting their differences aside once in a while for a friendly card game or lunch. Arty's tendency to hold grudges rubs Mike the wrong way, when it comes to a head, but appreciates the other's ruthlessly logical approach.

Mike and Zap are a little more lighthearted, even if he doesn't entirely approve of Zap's partial reliance on cunning to win his battles. The pair's rivalry is mostly made up of little jabs at each other; most of the time, their battles result in one claiming the other's favorite clothing store, and the other claiming their rival's favorite restaurant, before the two trade the territories back.

Relation to element:
Mike, like fire, burns with his passion. He's an untamable force to be reckoned with, a destructive juggernaut, blazing through obstacles and refusing to let others put him out, drag him down, or slow him up. Like a torch through darkness, Mike promotes honesty and honor in an environment where dishonesty and tricks easily reign supreme over those who succumb to them. A candle, he also knows when to make small moves, when to back off and when it's time to hold vigil over those fallen or lost. Mike is a flame and fire is within him, lighting his soul and empowering his heart.

Favorite Pokemon partner and why:
Mike is rarely seen without Charlie, his rough-and-ready Charizard. Even as a little Charmander that stumbled into Mike's path, the pair shared the same fighting spirit, cementing their bond while taking down the unruly liars and thieves who would stand in their way.
Charlie's trained moves are, naturally, some of the stronger ones available to Charizards; Fly, Blast Burn, Flamethrower and Inferno make up his arsenal, and use of any one of the four is marked with a heavy amount of collateral damage. He's been trained to be a destroyer in battle, but in private, he spends most of his time mothering Mike into taking care of himself and actually sleeping or eating for once. After all, best friends don't let their best friends neglect themselves.

The Team:
~Mike trained Dean, his Delphox, in a way that balanced the fire and psychic abilities - and still embraced the full-blast spirit Mike holds so dearly. Dean is naturally modest and restrained outside of battle, but on the field, his Flamethrower, Fire Blast, Psyshock and Psychic moves are nothing of the sort.
~Wesson, Mike's Talonflame, might not listen very well to Mike, but he has a lot of strength and loyalty to bring to the table. He may cause trouble in their apartment, but his Ember, Flame Charge, Fly and Steel Wing moves at least ensure they'll have a home to stay in at all... well, as long as it's not burned down by a stray spark, at any rate.
~Smythe is a female Pyroar that wandered into Mike's team and never left. She's assertive, but in the lazy sort of way that exudes confidence - after all, who would dare tell such a dangerous creature where she can and can't lay? Her favorite moves, Hyper Beam, Overheat, and Flamethrower, are enough payback for those who don't get the message. Her final move, Wild Charge, is not used as often, because Mike is not thrilled about demanding she do something that she doesn't want to do - namely, get up and make a physical attack.
~Almost too headstrong for battle, the Rapidash Remington has more in common with a wild horse than the tame Ponyta he used to be. He's only learned one strong attack, Megahorn, because Mike still has trouble with Remi's Ember, Fire Spin and Flame Charge being turned back on him while out of the arena.
~Mike shares an internal flame with his Vulpix, Beretta. Though she is often tempted to lean into her foxlike instincts in battle, he's fostering the bold spirit within her, just as he has in the rest of his team. She shares Flamethrower and Fire Blast with her teammates, but is quickly learning Dark Pulse and Energy Ball.

Personal Preferences
Mike's got a love of spicy food that goes unmatched - be it Tex-Mex, Indian, or Thai, if it burns the mouth with bold flavor, he enjoys it. His favorite restaurant is an easy target for Arty and Zap's conquesting ways; sitting right near a juncture where the three territories meet, it's sometimes all he can do to keep he favorite place to eat under his flag.
In terms of matters of the heart, he's steady and true to his passionate nature, throwing himself into what he loves... though, he has a hard time managing relationships much deeper than friendship. He tends to lose himself in his hobbies, joys, and frustrations, ignoring all others in favor or relishing in or decimating whatever is on his mind. This doesn't support a healthy romantic relationship, so he curbs himself there; if he can't do it right, and treat another like they deserve, he's not going to give it a go and allow it to mar his honor.
Unsurprisingly, out of all of the media in the world, Mike's favorites tend to be rock music or battle-heavy action/adventure genres. There's nothing better than a strong thrill from a heavy guitar riff, or the adrenaline from watching or reading about an epic fight! He has two large shelves dedicated to books, movies and CDs to fuel his downtime need for heart-pounding excitement.

Determined
Red is not easily put off, and hates the thought of giving up. Whenever he has a goal, he will almost always work towards it - no matter what stands in his way. Sometimes is does result in him pushing himself to his limits and hurting himself. But his determination is quite infectious and rubs off onto other people, making him quite an encouraging person.
Loud
Even though he may not realise it, Red can sometimes be quite loud, due to his proud and brave nature. He isn't afraid to voice his opinion, and sometimes uses his voice to intimidate others when needed. When he is either emotional or happy, he will sometimes lose control of the volume of his voice and he can become quite loud.
Sore loser
Red likes to win.
He feels like success only comes to the best, and anything else other than first is a failure. He may even become inconsolable after a loss, and if there is a second chance, he will always take it.
Brave
Red has always been a little headstrong, and is always willing to face his fears. He often doesn't think things through before doing them, and he has a reasonably high pain threshold. There was a time where as a child, he was actually quite anxious and cowardly, but his devotion to Candela soon inspired him to become braver.
Loyal
A true friend. One you've earned his trust, the bond he has with you is strong, almost unbreakable. He stands up for others [most of the time] and considers you almost to be like his family. This is shown through the bonds he holds with his gang members, and how devoted they are to him in return.
Short tempered
It doesn't take a lot to push Red over the edge, and he isn't the best at controlling his emotions. His rage isn't usually explosive unless you've really messed up, but he will have frequent outbursts of anger and annoyance now and then. His reactions can also be quite unpredictable- you never know whether he's going to express his emotions through anger or sadness. But one thing Red can control is who/what he takes his anger out on. He never takes it out on those he trusts, is loyal to or bystanders, and often releases his anger through the destruction of items/objects.
