In-depth Personality:
Muffet is a complicated character; she's very kind, accepting and patient, yet she will not hesitate to let you know when something's due. She has a sort of 'do no harm, yet take no crap' mentality. She'll give anything to help those less fortunate, but if you forcibly take from her without good reason, she'll know what and when to take back.
She's clever, but her judgement tends to be skewed if she only hears one side of a story - once she hears both, she trusts herself to make a balanced choice, and will attempt to refrain from making a choice until she hears both sides. On the chance that she makes a faulty decision, she will attempt to fix it or redeem herself as much as she can.
She has a tendency to protect herself by hiding her feelings from others, and there's only two beans she can feel safe confiding in - Sigma, her adoptive dad, and Alondra, her biological sister. She doesn't have the highest self-esteem, sure, but she tries her best to help those that need it.
Muffet is rather naive; she could be seen as innocent by many, but tries to reject this 'misconception' as much as she can. She's always reading, trying to learn new trivia and wisdom so that she may become more wise than she currently is. She usually brings around a book to read if she suddenly has to wait for something.
However, on her better days, Muffet can be one of the most excitable and peppy Beans you'll ever see. You could hardly be able to shut her up if she's talking about something she's interested in. It's kind of jarring when you're just trying to talk to her and she's not really responding much, but then you make an offhanded comment about something she's interested in, and suddenly, she's burstingwith excitement to tell you all about it.

What's with the flower?
Muffet is usually found with some sort of flower accessorizing her left ear. At this point, she does it mainly out of habit, but originally, she did it as a reminder of sorts - red flowers meant one thing, blue flowers another. She doesn't really remember the system, except that silver flowers mostly symbolized keeping hold of one's hopes and dreams, and yellow flowers symbolised loss. The two are often worn together.
