Why does he/she love jade?:

He loves to collect jades to hopefully attract someone who will like him as well as protection. He is obsessed with the gem because he was raised to believe that the gem could help a body "self heal" and has been witness to the healing properties of stomach complaints. He uses the gem on himself when his stomach starts to act up from stress, and within a matter of minutes he starts to feel its healing properties within himself. When he was little, he would watch his mother place the gem between two purple candles and let them burn for a few moments. She would always give him the gem to hold onto so that he wouldn't trip or fall into any accidents that may happen to him. Most of all, he believes that the gem will help attract someone special towards him, though he hasn't had much luck with that just yet, he hasn't lost hope that the gem will work its magic and allure someone in.

Solomon Shikobah is the youngest of two sons, born eight years after his brother. He was very close with his older sibling,
and they would often play all sorts of games together. However, as they grew older, his brother developed an interest in
travel and exploration. He would often take trips that lasted for as long as a week, and would return with all sorts of new
stories and treasures. Solomon always wanted to accompany his brother on one of these trips, but his parents would never
allow it, much to the younger kiamara's dismay. Once or twice, however, his brother had allowed him to sneak off in the
middle of the night for a boat ride underneath the stars. Solomon fell in love with the water and with sailing. It was a
beautiful thing, he decided. He loved everything about it; the gentle rocking of the boat, the quiet, hushing 'ssshhh,
ssshhh' of the waves. He often longed to go out on the water.

And then came the day many years later, when Solomon was twelve and his brother had made up his mind that he was
going to leave on a very long journey and travel the world. Solomon longed to go with his brother, and though his
brother would have had no problem with it, his parents weren't that hot about the idea. In the end, Solomon was not
allowed to accompany his brother, and had to stay home while his brother left on the adventure of a lifetime. However,
his brother didn't leave without giving Solomon something to keep him close to his heart. No, his brother gave him a
necklace, one that he'd had for basically most of his life. It was a flat jade pendant on a leather cord, and Solomon had
always thought it beautiful, and knew it was precious to his brother, and so that was why he was so shocked when his
brother was willing to part with it. But more on that later.

Solomon's brother hadn't said how long he would be gone, or if he would ever even return, though he'd told his parents
that he would try and return occasionally to visit. But, to be honest, Solomon wouldn't be surprised if that was just
something he said to get them to stop worrying. They always fretted over their children, and had been terrified for
their oldest son's safety and well-being when he announced that he would be going off on his own to travel the world.

Solomon grew older, years passed, with no sign of his brother. Solomon himself wasn't the least bit worried, and his parents
didn't normally seem it, though he wouldn't be surprised if that was only because they were trying to hide this fact. However,
the older he got, the more interested in traveling he became, the more he longed to follow in his older brother's paw
prints. His parents were actually a bit devastated when they found this out. They'd lose both of their children to the
unpredictable world of traveling? Truthfully, Solomon didn't want to hurt them, but he was beginning to loath such a bland,
stationary life like the one he was living now. And finally, when he was old enough to be able to take care of himself, he
left on his own journey to travel the world and seek out treasures and stories of his own, just like his brother.

However, he isn't traveling simply for the sake of it. While that might be a small part of it, there is a bigger method in his
madness. Solomon wants to find his brother. It isn't that he's afraid anything has happened to the older kiamara, it's just
that it's been so long since Solomon has last seen them. Plus, he was old enough to be able to travel on his own now, and
with that in mind, Solomon would love to fulfill his dream of actually being able to travel by his brother's side. He longs for
the old days, for the long gone days, when they would sail beneath the night sky, with the moon and stars as their only
witness. Unfortunately, he hasn't picked up many leads yet.

These days, Solomon is a bit of a vagabond, or a gypsy. He practically lives on his boat, sailing the seas without a care in
the world. He's not, however, a pirate, so don't call him that or he'll get rather upset. Usually, Solomon travels alone, simply
because he's not all that great in social situations or at making friends. However, he's gathered a few friends and
acquaintances over the years, and sometimes they will accompany him on his travels. Sometime they're even referred to as
his crew (note: not 'pirate' crew), and he, their captain.

Ever since Solomon’s brother gave him that jade necklace, Solomon has fallen in love with the gemstone. He finds it nostalgic
in a way, and every time he lays sight on a jade stone, or even something jade coloured, memories of his brother quickly
come back. They’re all good memories, heart-warming memories, things he holds close to his heart, and because of this, he
never takes his necklace off. It gives him something to remember his brother by, since he nevers sees the older kimara
nowadays.

However, just because this may seem rather innocent and cute, Solomon is nothing like that. He will do pretty much
anything for jade. Lie, steal, name it (though perhaps not murder; even he has his limits). He prefers to trade fairly for the
gem, but if he finds something he can’t stand not having his paws on and has no means of trading for it, he’s not afraid to take
to drastic measures, and has done so way more than once in the past.

Jade appeals to Jaye because Jaye was an ex-miner. Everyday he walked off to work and mined. On his first day, he found his first prize; jade. Jaye found the Jade he found stunning. He secretly took it home, as the manager asked if he found anything, Jaye lied and said no. The manager looked in his dirty pockets. He spotted a shiny green object. The manager walked over to Jaye and saw it, he snatched it out of his pockets. "You're fired." The manager snarled. Somehow, the jade piece was magical. In punishment of lying, the jade turned Jaye into a greedy trader. Jaye used to look nice, but now, he looks terrifying.

Jaye is a trader. He'll trade anything for jade. He usually sets off to the abandoned mines and takes his pick-axe and collects gold, but since he's never found jade, he wants the jade. He hasn't made so much 'jade money' since the parts around him are poor on jade.

When you grow up in times such as Zion your personality is often affected by
your surroundings, in this case it is only slightly true.

Zion had little to nothing as a child and so many would expect him to be
very thankful for what he has but he's almost opposite, Zion thrives for more
as though nothing is ever enough. Since he's as such, he often gets very
annoyed and very fast, never liking to waste time either. That after all is why
he keeps a clock on his tail making sure no one takes more than 10 minutes of
his day away, unless it is a female of course.

Zion though greedy and often annoyed he will always hide such feelings when
in the presence of a female, for his mother taught him that he was born to
serve two things; his lord and his mate, but Zion has never seen himself with
a mate, yet, so he serves all females instead. Always as a gentleman to all
hiding his annoyance, even if he is, for he would never go back on the word
of his mother.

Zion is also a very envyus Kia and so he often lives in caves or other dark
places for he believe others can see the envy that lurks in his eyes and never
wishes to see such terrible things, and this leads to the loneliness and dark-
ness in his heart that grows with every passing hour. Though Zion has tried
to hide his envy for others, it always been no use, for you can never own
everything.

Zion believing that the eyes are the window to the soul leads him to be very
superstitious and he has tried to do magic to find the City of Jade. Zion even
thought it had worked but his mind had been playing tricks on him and had
ended up in a dark cave. This caused him to be trustless of others and hard
for him to talk to others, so he often just results to grunts and growls, to
motion to what he wants, making him even more of an outcast.

but shhh don't tell a soul for the jade doesn't just represent love and virtue."

"I was born to a poor family, sad I know. We lived in Asia, at the time when
Jade was more valued than gold. The great emperor despised us, and others
of our class. My mother would joke about us finding a mountain full of Jade
one day and living in that palace where we would have no worry in the world.
She always wanted what was best for me... Every day I searched and searched
for that mountain, am still searching, though it’s too late anyway, but I still
believe.”

“I now trade any who have the stone, rare it is indeed to find. For it brings me
closer to her.”

“The stone is also said to watch over you, too give you amazing strength and
help you to find love, something She always wanted for me. Something she
never truly had, but I know she has it now. Though she isn’t here to celebrate
