story:Amyr padded along the edge of the park, a town could be seen close by. The closest gathering of buildings seemed to be a tourist attraction, cars waiting to take visitors on a safari through the park to see the different animals which inhabited it. As Amyr walked past in the heads of many tourists turned to looks at him a child could be heard saying "Cheetaa" to a parent who quickly hushed them. Amyr lowered himself closer to the ground, not wanting to be seen. His job, after all, wasn't to look good, it was to protect the park. He had gotten this grand attention ever since he was a pup and had always hated it as well. Soon though excited exclamations coming from the humans quickly turned into confusion, Amyr smiled at this, he had successfully hidden once again. This had become a game to him on slow days of work, how many humans would it take before they could discover him hiding in the brush of the wilderness?
Amyr wondered what his life would be like if he didn't have these spots and stripes covering his fur. Would he just be another nobody? He continued on, using the close shrubbery and tall grasses to hide, at least his unusual markings were good for one thing. His cheetah-like markings seemed to make his personality match the speedy cat as well; his avoidance of the attention and timid nature caused him to become somewhat of a loner, drawn to the quiet shade of the trees rather than the bustle of a camp or entry-point.
As a pup, although he was sought after by breeders and handlers for his markings, other pups his age didn't take so kindly to all the attention he was getting over them. One pup in particular, which he can only remember based on his bright blue eyes and cow-like markings, had a particular hatred for Amyr. The blue-eyed pup would often play rough with Amyr, trying to claw or bite out those markings that got Amyr such attention. Although this bullying was quickly stopped, Amyr tried to hide his markings from then on any way he could; as he grew older, Amyr learned to instead use his markings to hide.
Even if he wouldn't admit it, Amyr grew lonely at times, wanting the companionship of another, but all he could find were others who wanted to know him for his unique coat, not his true personality. He's slowly learning to come out of his shell, occasionally talking with others, and possibly even making some new friends.
