Sephy;;
Shy & Introverted ~ Kind & Caring ~ Protective ~ Loyal & Trustworthy ~ Independent ~ Sweet & funny ~ Adventurous & carefree ~ Lacks Confidence ~ Selectively Mute ~
Crow;;
Pretty similar to Sephy ~ Self-esteem issues due to blindness ~ More Outgoing than Sephy ~ Good sense of humour
Sephy is a generally friendly Viscet. She's quite shy and introverted, but she is also kind and caring and protective. She's a loyal and trustworthy Viscet, and she's great at keeping secrets. However, Sephy has selective mutism, and it is something that everyone she meets has to learn and respect. She didn't choose to be selectively mute, it just so happened that she was one of the 0.8 % to have it. She tries to avoid letting it take over her life, but sometimes it can be extremely difficult to do so. It stops her from participating in some social situations, and it causes her embarrassment and sometimes even punishment. One of the major effects it has had on her was when she was in 2nd class. At this stage in her life, no one had full understood why she didn't talk, and many believed it was out of shyness. This was only partly true. While her social anxiety and plain shyness go hand-in-hand with her SM, they are not the cause for her silence. However, her teacher believed that with enough "encouragement" she would soon start talking. She already stood out enough with her tail-mouth, and her teachers just wanted her to be a bit more normal. Still, their idea of "encouragement" was different than she had first thought it would be. Each time she did not speak in class, she would sent out of the room, and would be kept in at break or lunch time. She was too scared to tell her parents incase they didn't believe her, but they eventually found out and she was removed from the school immediately. After that incident, her parents moved her to a new school, where she was much more accepted by the staff and students, although still suffered because of her differences. At this time, Crow had not fully known what was going on and has stated "I would have done something if I had understood what they were doing to Sephy!". As she has grown, Sephy often feels uncomfortable when others ask her questions or expect a response when she is out of her "comfort" or "safety" zones, or with the people she feels safe talking with. Because of this, she always feels like she's being rude or inconsiderate when she doesn't answer. She has a few places which she considers "safety zones", mainly her bedroom, with the door firmly shut. As well as the "safety zones", there are certain people she feels like she can talk to, like close friends and close family (mother, father, brother, Crow). Because of her SM, she feels like she's trapped inside her mind, and sometimes she can breakdown. Thankfully, Crow is always there for Sephy, and often helps her to speak what she wants to say. While Sephy can sometimes lack the courage to speak to people, it can often come down to just physically not being able to. She can be screaming the words in her head, but nothing comes out, and she just feels uncomfortable as they wait for her reply, which honestly probably won't come. She is slowly growing to get used to this issue, and is getting more comfortable with relying on Crow. It's easier for the two to work together, as they both have a sense of the other (since they are one being). Sephy loves Crow to the moon and back, and would never give up her friend for anything. Persephone and Crowley are very dependent on each other, but other than that they're quite independent. They work well together, and manage to get through their lives almost normally because they work together. Persephone is a bit more like her father than her mother, and while some might say that she'd get on better with Gallow than Chāyā because of this, Sephy finds that she gets on well with both. When she is with her close friends, such as Lux, she tends to have a more adventurous and carefree spirit, although she is the more logical and mature of the duo. She is generally sweet and funny when you get to know her, although she lacks confidence around new people and dislikes going into big groups, or even small groups of those she doesn't know very well. While Sephy can sometimes lack the courage to speak to people, it can often come down to just physically not being able to. She can be screaming the words in her head, but nothing comes out, and she just feels uncomfortable as they wait for her reply, which honestly probably won't come. She finds it hard to share her feelings with others through words, and tries her best to express her emotions through other ways whether it be art or music or writing. She likes to express herself mostly through her stories and her piano. She learned piano since she was very young, as a coping mechanism, and uses it to express herself. She learns different types of songs, and her family have slowly picked up on what each song she plays "means". She'll often play some of the more fast paced or louder ones when she's angry, upset or annoyed, that kind of thing. While she sometimes finds it hard to communicate with them, she really loves her family, and shows it through greetings such as hugs and smiles and she likes to show how much she cares by spending time with them, or smiling. She has her moments when she wants to be like everyone else, to talk and laugh and play without any struggles. But usually she realizes that she has to appreciate what she has, and ends up feeling happier with herself and Crow. Crow is more outgoing than Persephone, but is still quite reserved. She is generally similar to Sephy since they are partially the same Viscet, but she differs in multiple ways, such as the fact she is quite good with words, and really enjoys spending time with the people she loves, talking to them and sharing her opinion. One of her favourite things to do is talk, and Sephy often finds herself telling Crow to "be quiet for once". She enjoys going for walks around the farm and really enjoys spending time navigating Gallow's corn mazes. When on her own with Sephy, she loves to cuddle up to her bodied counterpart, for warmth and safety. Crow loves spending time with Sephy, which is a good thing since they're kind of stuck with each other!

Relationship with Gallow (father);;
Persephone and Crowley love their
father so so so much. He is one of their most admired
role models. The two enjoy playing in the corn mazes
he creates for her. Sephy loves taking her time while
navigating them, and Crowley depends on her to "show"
her the way. The two will always ask their father to
come with them, and he sometimes does, which really
brightens their day. They love spending time with him,
and whenever they see him, they greet him with a hug
and a bright smile. Crowley has always admired Gallow
for his strong independence, and Sephy has always looked
up to his caring and loving spirit, as well as his consideration.
Gallow is the one who comforts them when they're scared,
and they find even just his presence comforting and calming.
When the duo is scared, they will try to find their father
before they freeze with fear. The two are easily scared,
and are often called scardey cats. If they can't calm
themselves down quickly they begin to panic and their
heart beats faster, their breathing intensifies and they
freeze, too scared to move; paralyzed with fear. However,
he isn't the first one they go to when their upset. It's not
that he isn't compassionate, of course not, they just feel
too pushy if they go to him for everything, so they
generally avoid going to him in that state of mind. Plus,
they hate shoving their negativity onto him. Sephy is often
seen watching her father work while Crow sleeps beside her.
Sephy is entranced by his line of work, and sometimes wonders
if she'll become a farmer when she gets older. She often wants
to go out and join her father, but she is too young to do so, and
Gallow doesn't often allow her to as the dangerous equipment
is a risk and Sephy has picked up that it's too dangerous for her.
Because of this, she accepts it gratefully whenever he offers to
let her help with the animals. She adores helping with things such
as rounding up sheep, milking cows and collecting eggs.

Relationship with Chāyā (mother);;
Persephone and Crowley adore their mother. She
is a figure to look up to, and the two feel she is
an important person in their upbringing. They believe
that she is someone to learn from, and someone
that they can strive to be like. Chāyā is one of
the few people that Sephy talks to, and both Sephy
and Crow feel compfortable talking to her. Sephy
even finds it nice to be able to just sit there and
talk to her about her feelings. While talking with
their mother is something they both love, they
also cherish the moments where they can just sit
together in silence, whether it be reading together
or just cuddled up on the couch. the two always try
to find time to spend with their mother, and occasionaly
feel that they are being an annoyance. They love the
attention that their mother gives them, although sometimes
they feel that she can be pushing the love onto them a bit
too much. Chāyā is Sephy and Crow's first choice of people
to go to with a problem. They find her words comforting
and informative, and will often listen to their mothers wisdom.
They accept what she has to say in response to their problem,
and will often take it into account when dealing with the problem.
They are very protectve of their mother in a mental and
verbal sense. They often feel insulted when someone insults
their mother, and will get very defensive and uptight. Crow
takes on the job of speaking and telling the person off while
Sephy will just growl slightly, eyes narrowed.

Relationship with Kahli and Ama;;
The duo absolutely adore their brother. He is one of the
most important Viscets in their life. He makes them feel
safe and happy when they are upset or angry. Kahli is the
one they go to when their sad. They aren't afraid to cry in
front of him, and will happily curl up beside him until they
fall asleep after a bad dream. He is one of the only Viscets
who can calm them down when they panic, and they always
feel comfortable talking to him about the reasons they're
upset. However, while they adore Kahli, they have their
sucpicions about Ama. They are very wary around him and
they don't trust him in the slightest. Because of the fact that
Ama is just as much a part of Kahli as Crow is Sephy, they accept
the fact that he will always be there. The youths generally try
to protect their brother from his tail, but they really can't
do a whole bunch to do so. They know that whatever they
do will never really work, but they try anyway, and are
determined to one day save their brother fully from the
evil voice from his tail. A lot of people say that Kahli is
mad because of his ramblings about his "evil" tail, and while
Sephy and Crow thought so at first, they have experienced
first hand one of Ama's "takeovers". They have only experienced
it once, and never wish to do so again. Kahli became indimidating
and his voice smooth and stoicand he just didn't seem like himself.
His pupils were narrower and he just seemed a lot more daunting.
They still enjoy playing and messing around with Kahli, even
though they are wary of Ama. Sephy in particular tends to pretend
he is just the simple, animalistic tail he perceieves himself as.
In general, the two look up to him greatly and think he's the
greatest big brother in the whole universe.

Best friend;; Lux - male - pps panda baby
Lux met Sephy anthd Crow when the three of them
were around 3 human years old. They were the
two quiet Visclings in the daycare. When they
were young that is. The two were put together
for most things because they were quiet and
obedient and it was easier to keep them together.
As they grew up, the two became inseparable.
They became the adventurous trio, as they both
seemed to always be in some sort of danger. They
were always exploring and adventuring around the
daycare, the schools, the nearby forests and
anywhere else in their sight. The two often seemed
to fight with each other, including the time Lux said
"come at me bro" and Persephone obliged (long story
short, they "fought" for twenty minutes, Sephy and
Crow coming out victorious), however, the two are
the most gentle Visclings, especially around each
other. They play fight a lot, but never seem to
actually hurt each other. One of their favourite things
to do is to find the highest trees and see who can
climb highest. They both enjoy this because it gives
them some form of competition while still getting to
talk and laugh and have fun in a more child-like way
then a real competition. The two can be devious and
manipulative and are generally great at sweet-talking
their way to getting what they want. When they're
together it's almost impossible to say no! Another thing
these two are known for is their love of ice-cream.
During the summer months, the ice-cream truck often
comes around their neighborhood and they are always
first in line. At this stage the Ice-cream man knows what
they always get, "plain soft serve ice-cream with no flake
and soft serve ice-cream with blue-raspberry sauce", and
he sometimes even gives them a discount or a free ice-
cream! On the hot summer days they enjoy sitting by the
local pool and eating their ice-creams. One of the most
memorable times was when Spehy got Ice-cream on her nose
and Lux just looked her in the eye and said "You gotta little
somethin' there" and struggled not to laugh as he tried to
lick it off. Sephy can't swim. That's just fact. With Crow
unable to do anything other then try to keep herself afloat,
the two always end up sinking, often resulting in Lux having
to drag them out. He tried teaching her once, but has since
given up as he came to the conclusion that "she doesn't need
to swim anyway".

Comfort Item;;
Persephone and Crowley own a small white
bear blankie called Oliver. He
was a present from Lux to the two of them.
When they were young, Sephy, Crow and Lux
would often share presents with each other,
and Oliver is the only present the two still own.
Lux has a bear of similar sorts, and the two were
almost like their friendship link. This particular
present was give to them on their birthday. It
was one of the first birthday presents they'd
every received from Lux. It hadn't been the most
expensive present in the world, but it had held
true meaning and it had been all Lux's idea. He
thought that it could be someone to make them
smile even when he wasn't around to do it himself.
Sephy and Crow decided that it would stay beside
their bed when they fell asleep to protect them from
nightmares, just how Lux protected them during the
day. It took them almost two weeks to name it, and
when they finally did, they name him Oliver. They
liked the sound of the name and felt it fit the small
bear quite nicely. He is extremely special to the duo,
just like Lux is. It is very sentimental, and helps them
calm down when their scared or stressed or just
downright upset. Their friend always made them
feel better, and having Oliver makes them feel
like their always together, and it just gives them
a bit of hope for the future. It reminds them that
someone out there believes in them, someone out
there is their friend and knows that they can
overcome their problems, their SM and gain
more confidence in themselves.
Other relationships;;
Persephone and Crowley don't often leave their
home and the farm, so they don't particularly
know very many people. She'd never been over
to Lux's home before, and so, hasn't met his
parents, although she one day wishes she could.
She hopes that she can one day be happy to meet
new people and have lots of friends to rely on.
She feels her SM and social anxiety, though it's mild,
hold her back a lot, and she knows that once she
manages to get over them, and she is always
telling herself it will be possible, that she'll be much
happier to make friends, and she hopes that she can
do it more often. She feels she is lacking the experiences
most Visclings get, however she tries not to complain about
it because she doesn't want to feel like she's whining. She
would never want one of her friends to think she was stuck
up and only cared about her only problems.

Dreams and aspirations;;
Persephone and Crowley have lots of
dreams and aspirations, however some
are so far from being possible they really
would need a miracle. Some of their major
dreams though, they believe that one day it
will be possible. For starters, Sephy wants
to overcome her SM and social anxiety. She
doesn't want them controlling her for her
whole life, and really wants to be strong and
overpower them. Some days it feels impossible,
but with the help of her parents, Kahli and Ama,
and Lux, she feels she can do it. She knows she'll
have to be patient, and overcome it one step at a
time, and she has learned that being impatient just
makes her feel so much worse.
One of her other aspirations is to become a zoo
keeper. She has a love for animals, and while she
often think she wants to become a farmer like her
father, she knows in her heart that wants to move
to the city to work with endangered species and to
show people the importance of animal conservation.
She wants to be able to spend time around the animals,
any of them, whenever possible. She loves animals for
loads of reasons, one is because they never expect her
to talk to them.
She dreams of becoming a photographer. Not a
professional photographer who gets loads of money
from it, but just to have a little corner of the internet
that she can call her own. A small blog where she can
post photos she's taken and be an inspiration to young
people like her all around the world. She wants people
to know that she you can overcome your fears and her
troubles without telling them they are not important.
She hopes that some day she can be supportive to people
like her family support her, even if she doesn't know the
person face-to-face.
Her final wish is to complete her crow feather collection.
When she's out adventuring with Lux, she likes to collect
feathers. But not just any feathers. Crow feathers. they
are special to her because of what they symbolize. They
are said to create balance, release from past beliefs, skill
and cunning. She also loves the look of them. She doesn't
have a fully special place for them, but she keeps them in
a wooden, hand-crafted box underneath her bed.

Fears;;
While Sephy and Crowley try to overcome
their fears, there are a few that are just
too much for the dynamic duo. For one,
they have mild Nychtophobia; a phobia
of the dark. This phobia causes them to
freeze up when in the dark on their own.
Their heart starts beating faster, and they
get really hot and uncomfortable, even if
it's freezing around them. They cry silently,
but can't make a sound. The find it hard to
breath and they sometimes scream. Thankfully,
their family knows of the fear and Kahli is
always nearby when it happens. Just one more
thing to love about Kahli!
They have a fear of social situations. It a mild
form of social anxiety, and it goes hand in hand
with Sephy Selective Mutism. It makes her feel
small and annoying, like a fly, in big groups,
and it freaks her out. being in social situations
also means people are likely to talk to her, and
that just makes her terrified. She never knows
what to do when people talk to her, because
she can't respond, and she can't explain why.
They also has a fear of thunder and lightning.
The long, somewhat graceful, streaks of light
make her jump, and the loud noise of the thunder
doesn't help her already beating heart. They've
seen thunder and lightning often enough to know
they despise it. They don't know where the fear
originated, however the two only feel calm when
they are curled up under the blankets snuggled up
to one another and Oliver.

"Just a dream" ;;
Fear filled her whole body, coursing through her veins like blood. Her heart pounded in her chest, and she felt like she was going to be sick. She could hear the dark, cruel and twisted laugh from around the corner, and she took off once more. Her paws hit the ground hard as she ran, using the force to propel her forward. She could still see the yellow and orange eyes glowing from the darkness. There was mud stuck under her claws as she turned around one corner and the ground began to change around her feet. It went from the hard-stone concrete to the soft muddy track of the farm. She kept moving, knowing in her own mind that if she stopped now he’d catch her. She wasn’t ready to die. She heard a piercing scream coming from her left, as if someone had opened the doors to the afterlife, and souls were trying to scramble back to life. Her purple and yellow rimmed eyes widened and she skidded to a stop, glancing all around her to search for the source. She didn’t know why she stopped, and she knew it was a big mistake, but she couldn’t help it. Someone was getting hurt by him, and she could do nothing to stop it. She growled, but it was shaky.
She planted her four paws into the mud and watched around her. There was no one there… Or was there? She whipped her head around, her large, fearful eyes scanning the surrounding area like a hawk. She was terrified, and she felt like her legs would buckle. But she stood her ground, prepared to fight. Well, she thought so anyway. That’s when he lunged out towards her, and all she could do to avoid his razor-sharp claws was to scramble backwards. She tripped over what seemed to just be air, and Crow hit the ground, dazed. The glowing eyes were back, this time right in front of her. She gulped and tried to swipe at them with her claws, but they just moved an inch or so backwards and all her claws caught were air. ‘S-Stop! Kahli… this isn’t you!! It… it’s Ama!’ She yelped, pulling Crow closer to her. Her brother loomed above them, his tail “watching” them also. ‘P-Please’ She stammered, her eyes full of hopelessness. It was all over and she knew it. ‘But, my dear sister’ He purred, ‘It is me’. His cold laugh echoed in her head and she screamed, as he lunged down towards her, teeth bared…
Persephone’s eyes shot open, her chest heaving. She breathed deeply, savoring the fresh, cold, oxygen filled air as if her lungs had never tasted it before. She could see Kahli, eyes widened standing beside her bed. ‘Persephone! Crowley!’ He was calling their names. Sephy blinked a few times before looking up at her brother properly, tears streaming from her eyes. ‘What happened?’ He asked, sitting down on the edge of the bed and opening his arms to hug her. She pulled herself into his warm embrace and rested her head against his side, savoring the comfort her brother brought. ‘I-I had a n-nightmare ag-again’ She whimpered, stumbling over her words. ‘Shh.. Shh..’ He whispered, hugging her tightly, ‘It’s all okay now... It was just a dream’.
