I would love to adopt him for many different reasons. I have been wanting a JBD for a long time even before the adoption center closed and have been waiting for a chance to adopt one of these precious babies for a while. I'm all so not even a little bit picky when it comes to adoption designs as I think all of them are beautiful in different ways so I would love his design no matter what it was.

Image
If I won him the first thing I would do would be to die of happiness. Then I would hug him and I would keep him forever and never trade or gift him away no matter how much anyone offered. Like I said he would be my first JBD and likely my only one so I would totally spoil him by drawing him all the time :3 I sorta feel bad for the little guy to because he is unwanted and abandon, and I'm such a softie I could never abandon him no matter what even if he isn't technically alive so I can assure you he would always have a home with me.

parent jbd;; Mollie, with possible input from Arisia
keep or gift?;; This is more of a choice which I would like to make if I was to win, there's possibility that I would like to keep her or possibly gift to someone <33
why we want to adopt her;; I feel that adopting this little Christmas babe will be a good way to develop Mollie, in a way that I am yet to be able to do and I also think it will be something fun for myself, and possibly for Boxxees to get in on, especially as Mollie and Arisia are currently only dating - whether I keep her or gift her as a little Christmas present for a friend.

Plus, I love surprises! And I cannot wait to see what this cutie looks like, she's seems so adorable as a little egg!

What will you do if you won him/her?: I want to gift them to a friend of mine who is currently a non-owner who had to give away their only jbd for a reason now that they did not have to. I was debating breeding this pair for them but I miss trying out for jbds. Will go a bit more I depth here later if possible.

Ahh never mind. My friend won another jbd so I'm dropping out qwq

Nursery Batch #550 - Lone Coal

Username ;; Trollish
JBD-hangout Account ;; Trollish
JBD-cove Account ;; Trollish (won't post due to mature language/etc. being allowed there.)
Skype Account ;; I have one, though I won't post it openly. I commonly role-play over it though, especially with my beans.
Parent JBD ;; Vincent Shibe Doge

----

Baby Name ;; ??
Baby Gender ;; Male

----

Image
Meet Vincent!

Image
A Bit About the Troll ;; Hello there! I'm Trollish, or Troll rather, and quite frankly any set of pronouns you can pull to mind works just fine. I love drawing, writing and other such activities. I'm pretty involved with the JBD community and frequent the JBD Hangout chat, though due to a bit of social anxiety I'm generally only around when I know someone I know is online or if I know there will be few enough people to talk to without getting lost. I hope to get a bit more involved in the community as I make more friends so I'm not so anxious about visiting the chat, and I really hope that this little bean helps me do just that!
A Bit About the Doge ;; Vincent is a rather large, goofy guy based off the Shibe Doge meme. He's a bit big and a bit chubby, though aside from that his most notable traits are his friendliness, silliness and naivety. Vin is an easygoing guy who gets along well with most others, even if they don't really like him, he's very persistent and he rarely deviates from his cheerful, outgoing self. He's almost a child at heart himself, being very childish and in general odd. Despite his seemingly codependent personality he's very self-sufficient. He was in charge of caring for himself and other children since his own childhood, and as such is adept in catering to others where needed.

Image

Why do you want to adopt him? ;; Personally I would be thrilled to have a fifth and final bean in my family! While I've no idea what this little guy will turn out to be, I'm honestly excited by the mystery of his appearance. I'm not trying just because I want a bean, but rather because I want the experience of developing a cool and interesting character. Quite frankly I had no intention of trying for this bean when I first saw it, just a twinge of "oh well that's cool, I think I'll mark it", though upon thinking things out and looking back at this baby throughout the day I've grown... attached? I've developed a character concept I really love that is unique and individual to this little bundle of joy, and honestly I'm pursuing this bean because of that connection I feel. I've never tried out for an orphan of any species before, and I'm also looking forward to that new and exciting experience!
Why does Vincent want to adopt him? ;; Vincent, as some may know, is completely aromatic and asexual. Which is to say Vincent has no real attraction to anyone, romantically or otherwise. He's always been fascinated with kids, as he's always gotten along with them better than adult beans. Being rather childish himself, he's always loved being around kids and has found himself being very good with them through various babysitting adventures. The primary reason Vincent wants to take in a child of his own is due to his past. As a child he was abandoned by his parents and left on a doorstep in the bitter cold in Japan, the family at the house was away and Vincent was rather lucky to be stumbled upon by a rather confused stray shiba inu who mistook him for a small shiba inu pup. The stray took Vincent back to his hideaway, where it turned out another female shiba inu lived with him. Together these two shiba inus largely resulted in Vincent's upbringing. They had a litter of puppies not long after taking Vin in, and for a large portion of his life he helped his family steal on the streets to survive. Despite how it sounds, Vincent had a fantastic life as a child. He loved his family very much and even though it was a bit hard supporting a family on the streets Vin was happy to have all their love and support. He wouldn't be able to turn an orphaned child like himself away, especially when given the chance to give the gift of family to another as it was given to him. Basically, he feels a lot of empathy towards the little egg and wants to give it the love and hospitality his parents did to him when he was in a similar situation.

Image

Why would Troll be a good owner? ;; I care for and love all my beans, that and I love roleplaying them frequently. I think I'd be a good home just because of how I treat my beans on a regular basis. I'd take good care of this little guy, and quite frankly love him no matter how he ended up looking.
Why would Vincent be a good parent? ;; He's always wanted a child of his own, and with no real attraction to anyone or true concept of romance, he wouldn't really ever think of, well, having his own. He'd be a great dad because of his ability to relate to the child in that they were both abandoned, and his overall protective and loyal nature along with his kindness would really be valuable in raising a child. Vincent is perfectly capable of raising a kid of his own, and because of this I think he'd be a fantastic parent for this little one.

What will you do if you won him? ;; Keep hands down, though if I honestly don't connect with the baby I may gift or re-adopt it to someone I know will genuinely connect with the design, however this doesn't mean Vincent won't be a part of the baby bean's life! I intend to role-play constantly with whoever owns this baby bean assuming for whatever reason I can't connect. Honestly I think I'll be keeping him, as I adore the concept I have laid out and I know no matter what this baby bean looks like I'll be able to love it just like another member of the family.

Image

Meet the Shibe Family!
Vincent lives with his two shiba inus, Kabosu and Hachiko. He considers these two guys to be his adopted children since he raised them since they were little puppies, though now they're full-grown dogs. Vincent's two closest friends are also considered a part of Vincent's "family". Velox and Jerome are biological brothers, and Vincent's closest friends. Ever since he moved from Japan one year ago they've been nothing but supportive in helping him settle in. They're so close to Vincent he considers them just another part of the family! Velox is married to his husband, Brennan and has two yet unnamed children, while Jerome is dating Icarus. Vincent considers everyone listed above to be a part of his special little family, since he had to leave his adopted one behind in Japan when he moved and simply because they're so dear to his heart! Vincent considers his family those he really loves and cares about, and those who feel the same about him.

Story ;;

WIP
I never got to finish this in time, but I'll include it along with a brief written version of the story.

Vincent was walking home from Jerome's house after a routine visit. The night is Christmas Eve, so he's in a hurry to get home! He decided to stop by to share some holiday traditions with his friends first, and after a fun evening of Christmas spirit he's tired and ready to head home. In his hurry, however, he forgets his scarf and other winter gear to keep warm. The temperature was record low that evening, and with the sun down, it was freezing and Vin quickly realized that he had to get home in a hurry. No matter whether he takes the short cut through the forest or the long way home, Vincent sees a mysterious silhouette of a bean. Vin chooses to investigate this anomaly, and upon following the trail into the woods (or deeper into the woods) Vin realizes he's gotten lost! While he won't admit it, all the trees are starting to look the same and he's not sure how or where he entered from. He wanders for some time before he starts hearing whispers, though he doubts they exist at all. Eventually he ends up caving and listening to what the whispers are saying. He hears the egg, pleading for help, and starts to follow the sound to the deepest part of the woods, where he'd find the coal-esque egg nestled up against a tree trunk. Quickly Vincent would scoop the egg up, tucking it neatly into his pouch and bolting for home as fast as he could. Autopilot would lead him the right way, because now it was an emergency! If this egg wasn't taken inside soon, it would probably freeze! He'd continue to hear the desperate whispers, which would fuel his determined steps forward, and soon enough he'd arrive home again with the egg safely secured. Tired and chilly, Vincent would sit down and look at the egg, slowly realizing that it was abandoned by someone else. In the heat of the moment he had forgotten all about the situation, and looking upon the egg now he'd feel a wave of nostalgia hit him. His own situation would dance before his eyes, the childhood feeling like he didn't belong and the gut wrenching stories of abandonment made him… sad. Very sad. Gingerly he'd run his paw along the egg, feeling warmth from inside it and cracking a thin smile. He knew he had to do the right thing, so he called in the child to an adoption agency. He was determined to submit the adoption paperwork and win the right to raise the child "fair and square" as he put it. Thus the form you read before you.

Image

For Parent To Fill Out

Will you love and cherish this baby no matter what it turns out to be?
Image
Well of course! That's a given, isn't it? How could I not cherish them? I mean- it's a little life inside that egg! I love all my friends regardless of how they look, so why would it be any different for this lovely baby?

How do you plan raise the little one?
Image
Well I have raised babies before, though they were baby shiba inus. I work a bit of daycare from time to time. I've helped Mr.Pudding on daycare duty quite a bit! I plan to take good care of the little guy, once he hatches that is. Until then he'll be nice and warm inside my pouch. Hmm, I already have a nice place set up for it too! Come to think of it, shopping for all the new things will be really fun too! Not too soon though, I wouldn't want to buy a little boy a bunch of skirts- unless he wanted them, in which case I'd get him all the skirts in the world! ...Okay maybe not THAT many but, all the skirts I could get him! I can sew too- so I'm sure it'll be really fun to make clothes for a baby! I plan to be a good, supportive dad and be there to make sure the baby is alright no matter what the circumstance. As a parent I feel like it's my job to teach the baby how to survive in the world without me, though while the baby is under my care it's my job to nurture them and make sure they're safe and strong! I'll do my very best to make sure that this child grows up in a good environment an that they live a happy life, even though they were left behind.

What will you tell them about their adoption? About their parents?
Image
That's... a hard question, really. I don't think I'd tell them... or at least I wouldn't want to. I always thought my foster parents were my biological parents, well, until I figured out I wasn't a shiba inu. Y'know, it sounds pretty silly but I didn't know I was different until I grew bigger than my folks, that's when we thought something was up. I never knew my parents, and I admit I am curious but... I would owe it to the child to tell them that they're adopted, though as a child I don't know when I'd tell them. If they asked me about it, then I'd be honest with them, otherwise I would probably tell them around their teen years. I wouldn't want to startle them, but honestly the drama and just... sadness... that comes from knowing your own parents didn't want you... it's not something anyone should have to face. I would know. I'd just have to trust that the baby would know that I love and care for them very much even though we aren't related by blood.

What is your current living situation?
Image
Well, I recently moved into a really nice house. I got a bit of help from my good friend Velox, but the place is really nice. It has two stories and it's not too far away from where my friends live, so if I need their help with anything they're not too far off. It's not too far from my workplace either, and there's a great room with a huge window I've set aside for the baby!

Are you currently employed?
Image
Yep, I got a job recently. I work as a greeter and general help at the local dinosaur museum! It's called the Museum Of The Jurassic, but pretty much anyone working there calls it either just the museum or the museum of dust. It's kind of an inside joke, but everyone there is really nice. I also work as a cashier at the gift shop sometimes, and I have a pass to go free on my down time whenever I want to.

What is your current financial situation?
Image
I'm doing pretty well actually! The house is completely paid off, so no worries there, and with a steady flow of cash I'm doing pretty well for myself. I have a pretty nice amount of savings in the bank and if I need any other sort of help I know I can count on Velox and Jerome.

How do you think your other children will react to having a new sibling?
Image
Well I have two kids of my own, though most beans don't really consider them children. They're my two shiba inus, Hachiko and Kabosu! Hachi is my baby boy and Kabby is a sassy little girl. They're not really so little anymore though- in fact they're full grown doges themselves! I still take care of them of course, though I think they'll be thrilled to have company. They really like meeting new beans, so I'm sure they'll take to the baby right away. They're used to being around kids a lot too, so it's nothing new for them.

Do you have any pets in your household?
Image
I don't really consider Hachiko and Kabosu pets, but they are shiba inus. They're especially friendly and gentle around kids, and while Kabby may play rough from time I'd be sure to tell her that wasn't alright around the new kid. Ah? Well of course I can talk to Kabby. She doesn't understand? Ah, you must be mistaken! I speak dog. You seem confused, well I was raised with them. Speaking of teaching children, I can't wait to teach the new baby all about the world! Or, what I've seen of it, and all the new stuff we can just explore together!

How will you handle dating when the child gets old enough?
Image
Ah, well I never really passed through that phase myself, so I wouldn't know very well what to do with it. I'd probably make them wait until they were old enough, sixteen is generally a good age to let kids start dating... though honestly if they could prove to me they were ready I would let them do it, though they'd have to prove they would be responsible.

What would you do if your child wanted to meet their birth parents?
Image
...I'd be confused, honestly. As curious as I ever was about meeting my biological parents, I still kind of... well they were never there for me. I never really wanted to meet them, though I did wonder about them. However, if they really wanted to meet their parents then I'd do everything in my power to help them accomplish it.

How would you feel letting this new young bean into your family?
Thrilled! Really it was exciting adopting my shibas Kabby and Hachi, it'll be really great to have a little one in the house again! Raising a child, a real Jellybean Dragon child, will be a lot different than raising a shiba I imagine... but it's a new and fun experience that I think I'm ready to take on. I'm really excited for the potential of raising my own baby, not to mention being a dad! I've kind of always dreamed of raising a baby... though I never really thought I'd get the chance!

Do you wish it would be a female, or male bean?
Image
I personally wouldn't mind either! I'm alright with either gender, honestly I'm just happy to potentially have a kid of my own and the possibility of helping out someone else is also really exciting! Honestly they could be male, female or any other gender and I'd be perfectly happy either way. As I said before, as a parent I think it's my job to really support my kid no matter what decisions they make, as long as they're not harmful to said kid of anyone around them.

What will you name the baby?
Image
That's another really good question! Hachiko is named after the great shiba inu who waited for his master at the train station every day. One day his master didn't return, but he waited loyally until he died one day and he's seen as both a hero and a symbol of loyalty. Kabosu is named after the shibe doge meme. The dog in the meme's name is Kabosu and she's a striking female doge! A couple names I really like are Daisuke, Hibiki or maybe Kazuki? All of them are Japanese names! Daisuke means great help, while Hibiki means Echo and Kazuki is one harmony, radiance, shine and hope. I'm not too sure though, I want to really think about it and make sure it fits before I choose one!

What punishments will you have in line if they misbehave?
Image
Well I'm not too sure either. It'd be really hard for me to scold them, though I'd want to make sure that I would have some in place. I wouldn't want to be too harsh though... I'd probably just talk to them if there was a problem, and if that wouldn't fix it then maybe I'd have to start trying other punishments? I don't want to be too hard on them though, just enough to make sure they know that there's an issue that needs to be fixed, if that makes any sense?

What if this baby were defective in some sense, perhaps they were born with some sort of handicap. How would you adapt to this? Would it affect your view of the child?
Of course it would affect my view of the child! You can't look at a handicapped person with the same expectations as a non-handicapped person. If you mean would it make me look down on them, then of course not! Aside from me looking down a bit because, well, they're shorter than me. I would just try to figure out how I could best help and do my best to meet their needs! I'd probably have to make some changes, but I wouldn't mind if it was for the sake of my child.

You mentioned being orphaned yourself, how will this effect the way you raise this child?
Image
Mhm, I was. I was abandoned on a doorstep in Japan around this time of year myself. I guess you could say it really motivated me to take this bean in. I wanted to repay fate for being so kind to me, and give this kiddo the love my foster parents gave to me. I think I'll be a bit more understanding of their situation, and I feel like they might be more comfortable talking to me knowing we shared the same bad experience. I'll be a bit more lenient with punishments, and I'll probably be really defensive. I'll want to know where they are a lot of the time, just to be safe.

What other beans may be an influence on this orphan?
Image
Well I already mentioned my two closest friends Jerome and Velox didn't I? A bit more on them- Jerome is a really rich, really cool dino! Jerome loves gardening, and his boyfriend is Icarus. Icarus is a really cool and smart inventor! He makes all sorts of cool science-y things and inventions for a lot of important people! Velox is a creative, funny artist! He's also pretty rich, and his husband is Brennan. I don't know much about Brennan, since I don't really see him much. Velox and Brennan recently had two kids of their own! I imagine that the kids would play often at that Vel, Bren, Jero and Icky would be a good influence on the new baby!

What skill do you feel will help you post as a parent?
Image

I love to cook! Honestly I really enjoy making delicious things for my friends, so I can already tell if this little one was mine to care for he'd be spoiled rotten with sushi treats and delicious baked goods! I enjoy making lots of different kinds of treats and food, so I'm sure even if the little one's picky I can find something special they'll really enjoy! Even if I don't know the recipe, I'm a quick learner!

Do you have any bad habits or health concerns that we should be made aware of?
Image
Well I have an odd form of narcolepsy that causes me to fall asleep randomly. It's been getting better in terms of just how random though, and it's basically just causing me to fall asleep once the sun sets now. Honestly I've been trying to fix it, but before it was never really a problem! It does make me take short naps during the day without much warning, but overall not detrimental to anyone's health. Icky has been helping me out a lot with researching narcolepsy so we can figure out more about how to keep it under control.

I know we've already been over this, but could you state again in your own words why you'd like to adopt this child?
Image
Really I just want to pay fate back for all the good things that've happened in my life. I don't know where I would've been if my foster parents hadn't taken me in and raised me and I'm so so very thankful that they did. I couldn't pass by another baby bean, discarded like I was so long ago. That... isn't possible. Not for me, at least. I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I didn't try to take this baby into my own life and raise it with the same kindness and love my foster parents did for me.

The dark figure ran swiftly through the woods. Their breath came in quick short billows of steam emitting from their nostrils as they ran wildly, without direction, through the maze of trees. Their sparkling eyes flickered back and forth as if keeping watch of something, like an unknown force was going to jump out at them through the trees. They kicked up small balls of snow behind them as their tail streaked out behind them to keep balance. They ran low to the ground like a greyhound, avoiding wind turbulence.

As the figure passed under the bareless trees sounds of a hunt could be heard in the distance, following the figure's trail in the snow. The sounds of angry shouts and baying hounds echoed through the silent woods. At the sound of this the figure stopped and set down the parcel they carried in their mouth, a soot black egg wrapped in red ribbon. The figured huffed as it looked around then picking up the delicate package they carried on.

Jumping over roots and fallen logs, dashing through crestfallen fields, wadding through icey rivers, and passing under the outstretched branches of bare trees; the figure kept running, doing anything in their power to get the hunters off their trail but the hounds were persistent on their prey. As the hours passed slowly the figure began to tire from the running and soon their once swift movements were sloppy and ragged. Still, they held the precious package firmly in their jaws as if their life depended on it.

Finally the figure couldn't take it anymore, the hounds still hot on their trail. They stopped in the path, looked around warily, and set the egg down in the snow. Tears streamed down the cheeks of the dark figure as they looked down with soft sadness. The tears turned to ice drops before hitting the ground.

"Goodbye my love. Let someone love you as much as I have, even with the little time we've gotten together." Their words were laced with a thick Russian accent as they tightened the red ribbon around the egg. As they did so they added a coin and attached a note to the ruby red ribbon.

The figure was situating the note properly when howling alerted them. They raced off, having gotten a claw snagged on the paper, accidentally ripping it. ;...Worst Christmas present ever...'

The note, having said before being ripped and the words that once were now were lost to time, had said;

It's here but I don't go into the chat or
on the forums there anymore due to bad
experiences, but this most certainly does
not mean I wouldn't use the baby. He or
she would be loved and would be rped
with my friends whom have beans as well
and would be open to rps on CS.
Applying JBD parent:
Roxanne

Asking why I'd like to adopt would seem like a fairly easy question to answer correct? Actually, the reasoning runs deeper than the usual "I want another bean" or so on. I don't have a desire to just win a bean, I have a desire to build a character I can love. Since joining the JBD community there's only been one bean I've actually fallen in love with and that's my bean Roxanne. I'm not just looking for another bean, I'm looking for a character to develop and one I can connect with and love as truly as I've come to love Roxanne. I've tried my best to find the perfect bean that I can apply my many ideas to but have since to find one that fits one of my ideas or I have but lost to so many others. Along with being my first won bean it would also be my first generation bean besides the three offspring beans I own; Roxanne, Ianto, and Donna. I love them dearly but there isn't much room to get creative with a past if they grow up in their parents home. With Roxanne I had the lucky chance to build a character for but with my others, not so lucky. I still cherish all my beans but I'd like to be given the freedom to deeply develop a back story with depth. This reason also contributes to why my form lacks in multiple pieces of artwork. I wanted to show, in this form, that I'm willing to put my effort into the character itself and not just show you pretty artwork. That's why I limited myself to one piece and spend more on my wording. I went through multiple concept pieces before finally settling on the one you saw at the beginning of this form.

I've always found the idea of a lost prince or princess as an interesting character idea and would apply that very concept to the baby if won. To give you a bit of an idea of what I have in mind here's what I've been mulling over for the past few days;
In an unknown Russian kingdom, hidden from society, lived a king who ruled over the kingdom. The king ended up falling in love with one of the servant girls that worked in the castle. But falling in love between social classes was frown upon so they keep their love hidden from the public. The servant girl ended up baring child to the king and they tried their best to keep the whole thing hidden. But despite their attempts a chamber maiden found out about the romantic affairs and threatened the king that she'd tell the kingdom about their love if he didn't marry her. Due to the chamber maiden having royal heritage the marriage was acceptable and they were wed. But as soon as this happens the new Queen, the chamber maiden that married the king, turned on the servant girl. She declared that the servant was to be beheaded for her treason to the throne so the servant girl fled the land with the new born egg. The Queen sent the royal huntsmen after her and when the servant girl was out of options she left the egg in the woods and led the huntsmen away from her beloved child. The egg is later on found by a stranger, unknowing of the secret kingdom, and takes the egg in as their own. As the child grows into adulthood, not knowing anything about their past self, they set out to find the real them. Eventually, using the little clues they can get, they find their real home in ruins. While they had been away the king had fallen into a great despair in the loss of his beloved and their child. During this time the Queen had taken over, plunging the kingdom into a dark time. Now the child is apart of an old prophecy stating a golden child would bring light to the ones lost in darkness.

But what would happen from there would be up to fate. Along the way of their character development there would be twists and turns to fully develop him or her into something of true beauty.

Roxanne is my favorite bean out of the few I own for the character I've developed for her. Her past isn't the happiest of ones and no matter what she tries to do she only seems to mess things up further. Despite her rough exterior her one goal was to have a family of her own, having a back past trauma where she never really connected with her own family and most of them hate her. After Roxanne went through a miscarriage and broke up with her mate I had kept my eyes open for some type of baby bean to connect her with, having no hope of getting her into a relationship again. But it's hard to do so especially if the baby already has parents. So I've kept my eyes open for an orphan, thinking had found the perfect child to pair her with but lost. Now I'm here to try again and find the baby Roxanne has longed to care for.

Image
No matter what the outcome may be if I were to get the honor of winning I would definitely be keeping him or her and would cherish whatever I were to receive. Looks are not of importance, it's the thought put into the character that's what makes it truly beautiful. As they say, 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder.'

As I leave you with the last part of my form, the encounter of Roxanne finding the egg, I have a last bit to say. Thanks for reading over my form. I do hope it hasn't been too lengthy or wordy as I tried not to do just that with it but it seems I might have gotten carried away, the excitement of the character idea fueling the words to flow. I did try my best to show that I could love the bean if won and wouldn't just be a character but a character with a story to tell, one that people would enjoy. Of course, the lost prince or princess idea is just one of the many I have so even if I or you felt that it didn't fit the baby it wouldn't be the only idea I have to apply to the character, this just happened to be one of my favorites and would fit the orphan idea well. Either way I not only thank you for taking your time in considering my form but to all my friends who gave me feedback on this and encouraged me to continue onward with writing and coding when I was ready to throw in the towel. I wish good luck to all the contestants and with any future beans as well. With all that said now on to the last part of my form!

Ice and snow covered the ground like a layer of white frosting upon the cold earth. Dim light shone through the canopy above and cold twinkling stars danced above in the inky black sky. A soft wind blew through the few dead leaves clinging to their skeleton branches. In the summer the woods would teem with life but in the winter all was silent, most animals now hibernating til spring. The trees reached up out of the earth like skeleton hands reaching towards the warmth of the stars. It looked like a graveyard.

One living figure made it's way through the snow, it's padded feet crunching through the frozen world. The figure was a tall white female Jellybean Dragon with black and red stripes. Her fur was exceptionally thick and fluffy compared to a normal bean's fur. Hot billows of breath came from her scarred muzzle and she flicked her eyes and ears back and forth, keeping vigil to her surroundings. As she walked snow clung to her fur and periodically she had to shake it off to keep the snow from crusting to her fur and freezing her solid. Some would consider her crazy for being out on a night like this but Roxanne wasn't one to listen to reason. Besides, she had a job to do.

Roxanne stopped once again to shake the snow off her fur and sat to lick at the ice that clung to her legs and made walking difficult. As she sat a fat snowflake landed on her nose, quickly disappearing to water at the touch of her warm body. She looked up to see that snow had begun to fall again and saw fat dark clouds blocking out the moon and stars.

"I better get out of this quick," she growled quietly as she sensed the approaching storm. Standing to her feet she plodded onwards in the fading moonlight. Roxanne needed to reach her destination quickly before the blizzard, otherwise she might freeze to death if not finding shelter despite her thick pelt keeping her warm.

As she went onward Roxanne had to continuously blink just to keep the snow out of her vision as it started to fall faster and in larger amounts. Worried she's get stuck in a snow storm Roxanne began to trot til she was in a full out sprint. Not being able to see where she was going clearly Roxanne almost tripped over a foreign object on the ground. Roxanne veered off the direction she was currently going, avoiding from hitting the object, and landed on her side in a snow bank. Roxanne hissed in aggravation as snow soaked into her fur. She whipped her head in the direction of the thing.

"Who's the moron that left a rock in the middle of the forest?!" Being too angry about her current state to realize how preposterous the comment was. Getting to her feet once more she shook the snow from her pelt and glared at the item. Furious that she was semi-wet from the plunge into the snow bank she crossed over, getting ready to punt the thing when she realized what she had avoided wasn't a rock but an egg. Getting a closer look Roxanne reasoned that the egg was a Jellybean Dragon's egg.

Now confused as to why someone would leave their egg in the cold to freeze she looked around for a parent but there was none to be seen. Any tracks that had been in the snow to tell Roxanne where the parent of the egg went were long gone now, covered by the falling snow. Roxanne looked back at the egg and tilted her head to the side. What was she to do with this? She didn't own this egg and what if the parent came back looking for them? But in the same instance she couldn't leave the egg in the cold or it would freeze.

A touch of compassion touched Roxanne and she smiled warmly at the egg. "Well... Errm I guess I'll just have to take you home with me." She said and picking up the egg she examined the red ribbon tied around it. The ribbon seemed to be of special material and looked to be handwoven. It was soft and velvety to the touch and the red was the deepest of ruby reds. Attached to the ribbon was a coin. Etched into the coin's surface was a set of foreign symbols;
"Этот ребенок ,золотой ребенок , будетмир хранитель с теми, потерянных в темноте. Мы считаем,
Мы надеемся, у ребенка в . Пусть Бог свет свой путь к нашей свободе ."

Roxanne examined the symbols for a moment before having to pull her attention away as snow fell harder. Quickly Roxanne slid the egg into her pouch and raced off. But she didn't get far before the snow became to heavy for even Roxanne to navigate in. Making a quick decision she looked for shelter, having been lucky and finding a small cave like dip in between the roots of a tree. She squeezed inside and padded in a tight circle before dropping onto the cold frosty ground. Despite it being cold Roxanne's body heat quickly warmed the small compact space.

Now that it was warmer Roxanne slid the egg out of her pouch, looking down at it to better examine it. She noticed, what she hadn't seen before, a tag attached to the ribbon. Written in inked handwriting were the words 'Worst Christmas present ever'. Roxanne snorted and realized where the parent of the egg might have gone. "Typical." As Roxanne continued to examine the egg there seemed to be nothing special about the shell of the egg, just that it was soot colored, but that wasn't to determine the life inside just waiting to come out. "Never judge a book by it's cover." Roxanne muttered to herself as she protectively wrapped herself around the egg.

Outside the wind howled and the snow twirled and danced, the trees shook and everything was lost in a blur of white; but underneath the roots the female and egg lay peacefully in the warmth of the cove that the trees offered. Neither the female or the unhatched egg knew what was in store for them or what lay in the past. The only time was the present as if the world didn't exist past their own little one. Above all of this the moon, quiet and solemn as it floated above the clouds and storm, watched the two. It was the only one that knew what once was the egg, and what future was in store for it when it was to find it's past self.
