Afton's hobby is collecting things (including the spearhead he just spotted, which will probably become a necklace). It doesn't matter what it is, if it catches his eye, it goes in his pouch and later on one of his many shelves filled with his treasures.

I should add that his favorite things to find and collect are artifacts; spearheads, pieces of ancient shields/weapons. That sort of thing.

He has to be very carful due to the fact these ghosts can kill him or hurt him. He must take pictures of them, oddly enough these pictures when taken a few of the ghost will put the ghost to rest.

Well, I think he could be either. The color combo (which is stunning, by the way) leaves him open to both genders, but I personally can picture him more easily as a male.

His Hobby?
He loves to garden. It seemed like a bit of a faes' kind of thing at first, but he realized that a dragon can like to do anything he wants. Plus, he likes to be helpful to other beans by providing them with yummy fresh produce! His favorite garden veggie is tomatoes, like the seed packet he's holding in this picture.





Here he is, all dirty from being outside and down in the dirt. He's a little distracted by this bumblebee. He doesn't seem afraid of it, though.

How come?

[The below is not really part of the form, just an explanation of why I chose the hobby that I did for him. I thought it would be important to add, but feel free to skim/skip this part.]

I wanted to make his hobby something that was simple. I've always loved gardening, both the idea and the doing of, but I don't really have a talent for it, so I wanted Cobalt to have this hobby so I could kind of "live through him". Since I'd be writing plenty of stories about him, I'd have ample opportunity to write about things in gardening that I, in real life, would never get to experience with my busy lifestyle and ability to kill all plants (except for cacti). I didn't want him to have a stereotypical hobby either, and he doesn't really look like he would be a gardener, but I don't think he cares. Gardening also fits with the "kind, helpful, and sweet" personality of JBDs in general. Another reason is that I want to add a bit of conflict to his life-- I think he would be the impatient type, and gardening requires patience, so it would create an interesting dynamic-- loving gardening, but at the same time being frustrated at the sheer time it takes (that was always my problem).
