A blue kalon sits in front of a tiny group of
younger kalons. They watch her eagerly as they wait.

"Are you ready to hear the legend about
lake spirit?" Soft cheers and voices of approval
answered.

"Near the lake that is close to us, stories surfaced.
Fishers and curious children went there to play or
fish.Only being scared away by a shadow and growls.
This scared many of them. People started to deem it
the "Spirit of the Lake"."

"Many years later someone saw the "sprit". It wasn't as
others thought. He was an old swordsman, who lived close
to the lake, and he didn't like people disturbing the peace
around it. After years of learning how to mimic animals, he
scared them away."

"A girl was playing by the lake. He saw her, but unlike the
others, she wasn't making problems. Just sitting and playing
carefully with a lady bug. However, a bear that lived there
didn't like anyone being near his home, and tried to attack the
child. Quickly, the old man was close, emitting loud snarling sounds
and making the bear look around confused. He scared him off,
and helped the girl . She was shocked at first, but after explanations
she calmed."

"She continued to return daily to the lake. She learned many things
from him, like learning how to wield a sword. Many years passed, and
on his deathbed, the old man gave her his sword, a shiny long blade
with a golden colored handle."

The children cheered at the story and looked at her with huge eyes,
speaking of how strange and wondrous the ending was. As the children
all left for home, she opened the door to her home to go in. One small
child looked back, and their eyes grew huge as they saw, mounted on her
wall, was a shiny sword with a golden colored handle....

Kacey ran through the dark forest, surrounded by hundreds of dark trees and many hostile creatures. A sharp shiver ran down her spine as she approached thick vines hanging from the top of a cliff. She lashed through them cautiously with a steel blade, on the other side she spotted her target on an island surrounded by dangerous waters. Oh how I love the thrill." she mumbled to herself while smiling with half her mouth. She sprinted quickly towards the island and hopped onto a small wooden boat. Kacey started padding towards the island, the waves of water thrashing at her. She didn't care, the waves were just causing an inconvenience, a delay, she wasn't scared. When she was almost at the island, a huge great white shark jumped up and demolished the boat Kacey was in. Quickly, she jumped and tumbled ungracefully into the shore. A rush of doubt rushed through her, but was quickly replaced with her usual determination. She looked up at the blood hungry beast standing above her, a Cerberus with huge claws. It jumped at her, but Kacey dodged without hesitation. She ran towards the Cerberus and started to climb towards the middle of the three heads. The beast tried to shake her off, but she hung on with all of the might. She reached the top and started to put up a fight. The Cerberus struggled to fight back as Kacey had the height advantage, eventually the three headed dog was just about defeated. Kacey jumped to the air, she pierced the Cerberus as it lay lifeless in front of her. On the screen read "GAME OVER, VICTORY" Kacey started laughing. "HaHA! Finally beat this level." She took off her headgear, exiting the virtual reality and returned back into her apartment, where she sat.

Gray stone overlooks grayer waters that shimmers blue in the sun’s rays. The water crashes against the rocks, and white spray splashes up onto a form sitting on the rocks. In the figure's lap is a small book and to her side sits a cup of water and palette of watercolor paints. She is silent, the roar of the waves being the only sound present as she works. She lets out a content hum as she finishes up her work, a piece showing the ocean’s waves attacking the nearby cliff face.



She slowly gets up and packs her materials, before climbing the rocks back to the grassy hill she came from. From there she walks to a small cottage tucked under a tree and goes inside, setting the small booklet she was painting in down to dry. She heads to the kitchen, passing by several other painting of ocean scenes held up by easels. She picks up a cup of tea that was left behind in the morning and is very much lukewarm. She sips from it as she looks out the window, one thought resonating through her mind. What a peaceful day.
