Jinhai
[Chinese name meaning "golden sea"]
gender ;;
male
Jinhai's earliest memories are that of the sea. He grew up on the bucking deck of a pirate ship captained by his father and crewed by viscets who taught him jaunty songs and how to wield a sword. As he got older he learned more; the unfamiliar steadiness of land, the names of the animals that moved in the sea below them as great hulking shadows, the casual cruelties of the human communities crouched on the sand like beached whales.
He did not often accompany his father Liqin on raids as he insisted Jinhai stay behind in his absence. It was for no genuine reason (Liqin was not worried about his crew rising against him or his son) but rather because he worried for Jinhai. When Jinhai had been little more than a mewling bab, plucked from the scattered remains of his egg, Liqin had pierced his ear with a clever twist of his mouth. He'd nestled a small stingray earring against the hollow of Jinhai's throat and swore to himself that he would keep this boy safe, no matter the cost, and Liqin did very well in this endeavor.
He died when Jinhai was barely breaching adulthood. As expected, Jinhai inherited the ship and the crew alike, and they buried his father at sea before they moved on to the next port. Without his father's guiding hand Jinhai became reckless and arrogant and mischievous; he was as likely to play tricks on a ship stopped at sea as he was to steal its cargo. He led daring assaults against the human settlements and his ship languished under the weight of his gold and yet still Jinhai was not satisfied. As he lay at night with his blood humming and the chill of his father's earring seeping into his throat he thought, what else is there?
Jinhai never intended to meet Ianthe. He was always careful about his crew steering around places where other viscets lived, for he rarely found employees and yet he sometimes lost them to a pretty face and an easy smile. Ianthe however lived alone, on the edge of the sea, where the water stole handfuls of hand each morning. Jinhai stumbled into him when he was walking back to the ship and was struck by how alike this viscet looked to his father. He said as much and the lilac male laughed and said, "I'm Ianthe." When he moved his head, an earring flashed at his ear.
Jinhai gasped. "Where did you get that?" He asked sharply, rising to his hind legs, the other male following suit after a brief, bewildered pause.
Ianthe raised a paw to his earring. "I've had it since I was a child," he said, and then caught sight of Jinhai's matching earring, his next words dying in his throat. "Where did you get yours?"
"My father," Jinhai said defensively.
"My mother," Ianthe replied in kind, his shoulders slouching already as the fight went out of him. He dropped back to all fours with a thump in the wet sand. "Maybe they knew each other."
Jinhai, loathe as he was to spend an afternoon on land, took lunch with Ianthe and asked him about his mother. Jinhai had vague memories of a female viscet who had looked as Ianthe described, and Ianthe looked so painfully like Liqin that Jinhai could not convince himself the earring was simply a coincidence. The only thing Jinhai had inherited from his father had been his eyes and a boat, and he told Ianthe as much.
Ianthe's lilac eyes glittered when he said, "A boat? What kind of boat?"
Jinhai laughed. "A pirate boat," he said teasingly. He did not expect Ianthe's sudden excitement and his demand to see the ship; he did not expect Ianthe's refusal to leave after he had set foot on the shifting deck.
"What do you mean, you want to stay?" Jinhai asked disbelievingly. "On my boat?"
"I'm sure I can do something useful," he said over his shoulder, head drooping over the railing as he studied the water. "I know a great deal about the sea, Jin."
Jinhai made a face. "I'll give you two months," he said after a long pause, "For the sake of our father. If you're not pulling your weight, I'm leaving you in Australia."
Ianthe turned to him and briefly pressed his heads together with a short laugh. Their earrings touched and tinked and it sobered both viscets, this reminder of a shared ancestor, what could have been a shared childhood.
"Two months it is," he said demurely. "Thank you."

-Personality-Indifferent to everything, having barely any emotion what so ever.
Her heart has been crushed so many times, some say it's dust.
Other people say she has a dark soul, as she watches people get hurt and doesn't help.
She is very quiet, and dislikes having people around her.
A lot of people say that every single person on this world is her enemy, even loved ones.
-Story-When she was still young, Kiesal's parents died. She was left with foster parents, and was abused because of her unnatural markings. She cried each and every day until she felt no emotion at all, and eventually ran away from her foster parents. She stayed away from other people for the rest of her life, until she eventually came back. She never talks to anyone, or says anything about what happened in her past.
She says she has no friends and never had a family that actually cared for her. And without a family that cares for her, she doesn't care about anyone, either. She says that she has a heart of stone, that was crushed so much it's dust, a long with having a faded soul.

░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░name: Maeve
meaning: Anglicised form of the
Gaelic name Medb meaning
"intoxicating".
nickname: Mae
gender: female
sexuality: hetrosexual
likes: cherries, music, storms
reptiles, warm sun, soft scarfs
dislikes: very cold weather,
talkative people, chocolate
fear: getting lost by herself
theme song: Heartlines - Broods
voice: soft and silvery with a
slight Scottish accent.
favourite place: Waitomo
Glowworm Caves in NZ
quirk: Nibbles on her tail when
she is nervous.░░░░░░░░░░░░░░░ Maeve is a rebellious spirit, climbing over locked fe
nces with a mischievous smile on her face. With a ta
lent of getting in and out of 'impossible' places, Mae
is very innovative and is smarter than what she likes
to let on. Athletic with a good competitive attitude,
but not at all a sore loser, if fact she sees it as a wa
y to let her competition show their strategies and g
ives her something to work on. Will flirt with pretty
much anyone but uses it as a facade to hide her inse
curity. Friendly to most but will cling like velcro to
those who she feels are truly her friends. Maeve does
have trust issues, a sharp tongue and is rather impat
ient, especially when it comes to food. Others find it
difficult to hide things from the snake pelted viscet,
her sharp eyes catching everything from facial tells,
passcodes and where someone hid a box of cherries.
A female who respects others privacy and hopes that
they reciprocate that for her as she is quite private.

USERNAME --- Gazoonia
NAME --- Snoot
GENDER --- Male
PRONOUNS --- He/him
ORIENTATION --- Heterosexual
BIRTHDAY --- 14th June
ZODIAC --- Gemini

Snoot is a kind guy, but he's also known for being
unbelievably sassy to the point where he's almost
cheeky. Pfft, almost?
But he enjoys caring for others and helping out
where he can.
cheeky | sassy | funny | strong willed | kind | caring

• He can speak Italian, Japanese, and Gaelic.
• Snoot once won a trophy for "Sassiest Queen".
• He has a thing for apples.
• He can actually scream (rock music vocal technique).
• He likes getting skateboards, lying on them and pretending to be a lizard.
• Snoot thinks he's cool, but he's really not.

Hello, fabulous reader! I'm Snoot!
I have been described as a hyperactive puppy on a constant sugar rush, but I'm gonna let you decide. How would I
describe myself? Well then, getting down to business!
Words I would use to describe myselfff... uhh... candy loving? Oh, you mean my personality! That changes things. I like
to think that I'm a friendly, laid-back guy who likes to throw in a few jokes here and there. And no, I'm not sarcastic,
I'm ironic. There's a difference but I can't be bothered telling you what that is, so go look it up.
*unwraps sucker and puts it in mouth* Oh, you want one? No, really here, take it! *hands one to the reader* No you can't
give it back. No! Go away! *high pitched scream* ARGH *bats hand away* You cannot decline a gift! Do you know how
rude that is? GAWD! Like did your parents not teach you manners at all? ...What? Oh, be quiet I am not offending your
parents, drama queen.

Samus - Snoot has had a crush on Samus for a very, very long time. He thinks that she's the most beautiful creature to ever walk the earth and loves the fact that she too is very snake-like in appearance. He feels like they'd have a lot in common, but has never worked up the courage to ask her out on a date.
Gabe - Gabe has been Snoots friend for years, and he's one of the few who can stand Gabe's hyperactive behaviour. He actually finds it sort of endearing. They both enjoy reading and music, and often go out for coffee with their books and just read. This results in almost nothing being said apart from on the way there and back.
Snoot is an outgoing, sociable boy, so he gets along with most viscets but Gabe's the only one he keeps close. Although he would do the same with Samus if he could
just get up the damn courage.
--- If you had superpowers, what would you use them for? ---"Me? I don't know, it depends on what they are. You didn't really think this through, did you?"
--- What superpowers would you want? ---"You can't backtrack like tha- okay, okay! Stop glaring. I'd waaaaaant...to be able to read minds. It would make life so much easier."
--- If you had superpowers, what would you use them for? ---"Really? Seriously?" *sighs* "Alright. If I could read minds I would see if my crush likes me back. I'd also be really, really good at chess. And stuff."
--- Which common rules of etiquette do you disagree with? ---"Most of them are really old fashioned and just annoy me. I mean...why do you have to eat with your fork in your left paw and your knife in your right paw? What if you're left handed? I mean I'm not but what if you were? .....I am
not just disagreeing for the sake of disagreeing and I feel offended that you would even think that of me."
--- Which personality trait would you like to lose? ---"I'd like to stop being so charming and attractive. It's really annoying having these girls - and a few guys - following me around all the time."
--- What lie do you tell the most? ---"I don't lie. Never."
--- How has the way you view the world changed since you were a teenager? ---"Honestly, I'm not sure that it really has. I still hate everyone... I'm kidding. But I'm not really sure. I'm more mature, but I don't know how my "view of the world" has changed."
--- Would you please take this seriously? ---"But...but that would be so
boring..."
