"A past hidden in darkness.
Her present cloaked in secrets..
Too numb to realize, that the future holds
the only truth that cannot be escaped."

An eerie breeze whispered through the darkening night as Calamity
rode Shade- her loyal steed who had been with her since childhood
to the gates of Riften. It had been a long while since she had visited
Riften; a small, rundown town near the borders of Skyrim, but it was
a peaceful town beside the constant chatter around the market place
in the center of the city. Dismounting, she led Shade to the rundown
stables and payed a small rent for the care of her horse before heading
to the city gates. "Halt." grunted one of the guards as she was about to enter.
Turning sharply, she saw the guard draw his sword. "Y-You're the Weeping Angel!
Submit your weapons; you've committed countless crimes agenst Skyrim and
her people, what say you in your defense?!" Calamity had quite the criminal
record in Skyrim, and she even had her own title- which she took more of a
compliment than an insult since, in a way, she really was a weeping angel.
Knocking the sword from the guard's grip, she then before he could react,
already had her sax knife to his throat to keep him quiet.
"I'm not looking for trouble, now what do you say that I let you go, and you
stay quiet, hmm?" She then took out a small pouch full of some gold coins
and waved them in his face. A bead of sweat dripped down the guard's face
before he hesitantly agreed and took the money from her gingerly.
"If you say anything...I'll know.." she warned before disappearing into
the city. Among the edge of the crowds of people, Apollyon watched from
the rooftops and had finally spotted his target. "Dam#, you're really hard
to find..Let's hope you're worth the effort..." he murmured to himself as he
watched Calamity with birdlike eyes disappear into the Bee & Barb-
an old Inn near the edge of town. It was easy enough to sneak past
the guards that patrolled the streets after dark since all of the villagers
were still shuffling about, since work hours had finally ended.
Walking into the small tavern, warm air hit his face, along with the
mouthwatering scent of stew that cooked in the kitchens wafted
around the room. Scanning the crowded room, he managed to spot
the Tavern Keeper, Keerava, tending the front counter with 3 people
sitting at the bar, one seat left. Looking around once more,
Apollyon sat at the bar. Keerava's slit eyes almost startled him as she
turned to ask what he wanted.
~From a table not too far away~
Exterrita listened with pricked ears; his eyes narrowed as the young
Viscet across from him push a small bag full of coins to Keerava.
Thier voices were low, but it wasn't that hard to pick up what the
stranger was asking about. "So, it really is true.." he thought,
"the Weeping Angel has returned...". Standing as soon as he
heard the room number, he walked up stairs as if he were to retire
for the night, but instead he shut the door behind him of his room
and waited a while for everyone to leave or go to their rooms before
sneaking out once more. It was a strange thing- seeing the Inn so quiet
now, since after all, it was the most popular place to get lodgings in Riften.
Gingerly walking on the creaking boards, there- a shadow moving slightly
in an irregular manner. Walking to the door from which it had vanished into,
there, he spotted a figure with a dagger in hand creeping over toward a slim,
sleeping shadow covered in small blankets.
~Apollyon~
Apollyon watched his target's uneasy breathing. He could tell that she'd had
this dream before based on a constant movement and slight cold sweat forming.
"Tough luck to have a bad dream on your last night to sleep easy.."
he thought before taking out his dagger and pacing ever so slightly to the
bedside. Suddenly, a sharp, ear stinging sound rang across the room as an
arrow struck the dagger; along with a sting from the force followed.
Apollyon turned to see a hooded Viscet staring at him with a slight smirk
showing sharply in the dim light of the room. A low growl caught in his throat
just as he turned to see that his target had vanished- and not just out
of the room, but out of thin air. A cool, sharp, sensation crept around his throat
as he stood there; unable to move.
~Calamity~
Calamity held her knife firmly agenst the intruder's neck. "Why did you
try to kill me?" she asked, but she already knew the answer in her heart
as she studied his strange uniform. "How could they actually have found
me this fast? Are they still after me for what I had done so long ago?"
she wondered. When he didn't speak, she kicked his feet from under
him and he tumbled to the floor. Quickly, pinning him, she held her
sword to his neck threateningly. Yet he didn't even let out the slightest
of sounds. Taking of her invisibility ring, she stared at the stranger who
had saved her. Oddly enough, he seemed strangely familiar to her.
"His name is Apollyon; he's part of the Dark Brotherhood....but I'm
guessing you already know that.." "His voice...could her really be..."
her eyes widened as he took off his hood. "Exterrita...?" His smile
became wider as she whispered his name. "You sound so surprised,
Calamity. Surely you didn't think I'd let you take on the Brotherhood
without me?" Calamity couldn't help but smile. "It isn't that I wouldn't
want you to come...I just didn't know you were still alive." Her voice
became sharp at the last sentence. "I'm not that easy to
kill...Calamity.." his eyes glowed unusually, and Calamity's heart
beat fast in her chest, but not just because she had just reunited with
an old friend, but because of his eyes..They were just like her's.
"How?" she whispered, her voice caught in her throat; yet all she really
heard as he spoke once more, was the comforting voice within her
echoing over and over again,
"I'm not alone anymore..."
