Story: It has been three days, and Dragonfly was still ignoring him. Something isn't right, could it have been something i said? no i am pretty careful with my words, i hate it when i hurt others feelings. I looked up and the big dark bay stallion with a white snip on his nose was starring off into space. he hasn't said a word this morning, just a nod of acknowledgement.
"Hey how do you kill a vegetarian vampire?" i decided to through a joke out there. he just turned his head at me and stared at me blankly. "You throw a stake through its heart!" i smiled and gave a chuckle. Dragonfly sighed and stared off into the distance again. this was not the time for jokes i decided. i knew just what i had to do, i pressed up against him to comfort him and together we stared off into the distance. after what seemed like forever Dragonfly looked at me and said " Thank you Fidelis, its not you, i just wished i was as good as you, you saw me at the competition three days ago, i tipped over two barrels! Genny wont ever want to ride me again." his ears were folded back and i knew he was depressed. "Are you kidding me?" i chuckled "you are going to let two barrels define who you are?" he looked up at me and i knew i was getting somewhere. "if i trip on my own feet and i sulk around for a week thinking i am a terrible horse because i tripped over my feet what would you think?" he chuckled and said "that you are weird," i twitched my ears, "same goes for you! you can either learn from it or let it become you, this is your life don't let two messily barrels take it over!" he sighed and smiled "your right i am being ridiculous, i will do better next time! but for now... YOUR IT!" he nudged me and galloped away. i chased after him with my heart happy knowing that i helped out a friend.
