Just thought I'd tell you guys that, even though you're probably not interested. xD
//is interested
Thirteen is my lucky number xD
But I still love this deerssert's design all the same.

Name: Konfekt
Gender: Female
Unlucky or Brings Bad Luck?: Brings Bad Luck
Thoughts About Unluckiness: Konfekt is a bit of a troublemaker who gets away with everything. Be well warned that to associate with her is to condemn yourself to trouble. She has a habit of roping in innocent people with no idea of what she's capable of. Oh she's fun alright, but in her case, fun comes with a price.
Favourite Candy: Konfekt loves, loves, loves twix bars. Who knows why?

She's named after George Renninger, a candymaker at the Wunderlee Candy Company who invited candy corn in the 1880s.I love names with some sort of special meaning or history behind them. While doing research on a possible name for this girl, I found myself stumbling across the name George Renninger. As soon as I saw it, I knew that Renninger was the perfect name for her. After all, not only does it fit her perfectly, but its also a lovely name by itself!

"Let me tell you a story," she goes on, "about last Halloween. . ."As the sun slowly sinks on the horizon, the sky ablaze in a breathtaking mixture of orange and gold, the world comes to a pause as all manner of monsters emerge from the shadows. Some say that Halloween is the one night a year where real monsters come out and mingle among the living, but most creatures in this day and age believe that to just be a silly superstition.
In a simple house on a simple street, a gray spotted Deerssert is gazing out her window, absolutely entranced by the start of her favorite night of the year. A sharp black witch hat covers her ears and horns while a matching silky cape waves gently in the breeze behind her. A young boy calls out from somewhere else in the house, forcing the girl to pull herself away from her window with a bittersweet sigh. As much as she loves being in Halloween, she also loves just watching it unfold.
What seemed like a lifetime later (but, in reality, was just a few minutes), the girl emerged from the house with a tiny boy trailing behind her, grabbing at her hand. Although she'd much rather spend her time with her friends, taking her brother trick-or-treating wasn't that bad. The happy smiles and shrieks of children on Halloween always made her smile herself, remembering a time when witches and vampires were still real.
Two hours of door-knocks, excited chants of "Trick or treat", and the joyous sound of candy falling into a cheap plastic pail left the young boy exhausted. If she brought him home quickly, maybe she could meet her friends after all! As she slowly guided him home, holding his hand tightly, the girl swore she saw a strangely shaped shadow in the woods. She felt her body go cold for a moment, but just shrugged it off. It was probably just some teenager, right?
Not even three steps later her pail crashed against a wall, shattering the thin plastic and sending her candy flying - into the river, the woods, and the greedy hands of others. She was upset, but only momentarily; it was just candy. They continued on, her brother swearing he'd share with her. As they rounded the corner onto their street, the girl's cape snagged on a branch and ripped the delicate fabric. Another figure - or perhaps the same one - appeared in the woods as rain began to pour from out of nowhere.
Pleading, begging, frowning, stomping, slamming. Her mother wouldn't let her go back out, all because of some silly water. The girl sat in her windowsill, staring down at the world below. She clutched her ruined cape tightly as the wind suddenly changed and blew heavy raindrops straight into her room. A heavy sigh escaped her lips, defeat in her eyes. The wind roared and took her hat with it, sending it swirling out into the sky. . .
"But what I really love," Ren continued, "is mixing them together!""Have you ever had confetti cake with vanilla frosting covered in candy corn?" she asks, "Or what about chocolate cake pops decorated like vampires with candy corn fangs? Oh! You simply must try vanilla cake with chocolate frosting and melted candy corn drizzled on top! Wait, have you had it before? I think that one's my favorite!" excitement bubbles from the deer as she grins at you, "Tonight I'm going to try baking candy corn into a batch of brownies! Wish me luck!"Photo by Evan Amos; used with permission. Pattern from Colourlovers.

bump! <3
Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune without the words,
And never stops at all,
And sweetest in the gale is heard;
And sore must be the storm
That could abash the little bird
That kept so many warm.

I feel wet snow on my
cold, dry skin as
the darkness starts
to settle in.The
stars shine bright
to lead my way.
Through tall, snow
covered trees which
bend and sway in
the breeze.My heart
tells me in hours this
day will be past,
when the nighttime
comes to me slowly
at last. I am back in
the snow so pristine
and clean, but
sadness shows me it
was only
a dream.
