Theme Song
"Two birds on a wire." - Two kalons growing up together as friends.
"One tries to fly away and the other
Watches him close from that wire
He says he wants to as well, but he is a liar." - Solar is always wanting to go out and try new things and make more friends, but Blake is more content staying back. He may sometimes say things he doesn't mean, or act differently to how he's feeling, and this will sometimes confuse and agitate Solar.
"I'll believe it all." - Solar knows that something is bothering Blake, but he doesn't want to pry, and instead moves along with life.
"There's nothing I won't understand." - This would be referring to all the times that Solar did try to help Blake, trying to convince him that it's alright to tell him what's bothering him.
"I'll believe it all." - This is now referring to Blake, and how he understands and believes Solar is trying to help. Despite this, he still doesn't talk much about himself.
"I won't let go of your hand." - This is not meant literally. It is instead about how Solar wants Blake to know that, despite their lack of communication, Solar will still stay as his friend.
"Two birds on a wire." - Two kalons, now fairly good friends.
"One says 'Come on!', and the other says 'I'm tired...'." - Blake is now more prepared to move forward in life after reaching middle school (entering his special class and working hard in it), but Solar is now spending more time by himself, and less with his friends.
"The sky is overcast
And I'm sorry." - Solar is confused about what is happening, and is having some trouble with keeping up with everybody else.
"One more, or one less, nobody's worried." - This is now both Solar and Blake, talking about how they may have one more or one less friend, but Solar isn't worried, and their friends don't seem to be either.
"I'll believe it all
There's nothing I won't understand." - Solar and Blake are now both working hard in class, and are prepared to go through a lot to get the career that they want. Their self-confidence is better, and they believe that they really can do something.
"I'll believe it all
I won't let go of your hand." - Both are slowly going back to spending time with friends, and keeping up to date with everything that is happening around them.
"Two birds of a feather." - Though they haven't spent much time together, Blake and Solar are both now good friends, and are more prepared to help each other and their friends through tough situations.
"Say that they're always gonna stay together
But one's never going to let go of that wire." - Though they may have promised that they would stay friends for a long time as kids, they have both moved onto new jobs, new friends, and new lives. While Blake has finished his special class and moved on, Solar stays behind to work at the school where they grew up.
"He says that he will, but he's just a liar." - Solar has found that the time he spent at school and with the friends he made there has truly made him who he is, and he wants to give back to it. This wasn't originally his dream job, but he's fine with it.
"Two birds on a wire
One tries to fly away and the other
Watches him close from that wire
He says he wants to as well, but he is a liar
Two birds on a wire
One tries to fly away and the other..." - Their journey in life has made them who they are, and though they may have changed and moved on in life, they will always be friends.
Bright Horizons wrote:Hi! I'm Bright Horizons. I've been quietly following Kalons for a while now, but I've only ever tried out for one or two (due to time or loss of interest). I'm not much of a writer (not really much of an artist either, but I like to try to make progress, seeing as it's the reason I joined Chicken Smoothie), so I'm usually not very good at these kinds of competitions. I often try to write things shorter, 'cause if I start writing too much it doesn't make any sense. Anyways, I'm done with my short story of what I'm doing here. I hope you're enjoying our form so far! Read on to learn more about Solar.
Solar wrote:"You say your life is normal,
But what does that mean?
We will always be different."

"And that's fine."
