"That goes against my rules."

Wolfwind whispered to the cat before her. Yet another contract was being planned, and she was in charge of making sure it went smoothly. The cat before her, however, had proposed murder over a cat liking the same cat she did. As sanctuary holder, fights were not something that escaped her rank. Cats often got mad when she rejected contracts, but this one.. this was going to be a harsh rejection. In a fury of rage, the cat struck Wolfwind to the ground. . Wolfwind attempted to get back up, but felt a singing pain in her ear as the she-cat's teeth dug deep. Wolfwind yowled in pain, thrashing her head wildly to escape the cat's grasp. Soon, she felt a piece of her ear leave her, her eyes widening in horror as ringing began to take over her ear. As adrenaline increased, the pain ceased, allowing Wolfwind to continue the battle as the sanguine dripped from her ear and onto the cavern floor.

Wolfwind flung herself forward, her freshly sharpened claws ripping through the she-cat's right flank as she leaped past. Wolfwind landed behind the cat, quickly whirling around as she prepared herself to retaliate against anything that was going to be thrown at her. The cat instead began to back up, seeming afraid as the blood dripped from her ear. Wolfwind ran at the cat, claws meeting her face once they were close enough. She felt the claws ripple through her skin, clenching her teeth to ignore the pain as she rammed her head against the she-cat knocking her out of the den with a harsh hiss.

"Silentclan does not like being told what to do. We follow our own rules. You're lucky you were even offered some damn help. Get out of here." [300 words]

“Aldertail, I know that you think you know where we’re going, but I don’t feel great about this.” The path in front of her was covered in fallen trees. The bark was peeling and worn, so it was evident that their fall was a long time ago. The moon was starting to rise, giving the two cats an almost eerie scenario.

“Berrysong, you’re just paranoid. There is nothing wrong about walking through a forest at night. Now c’mon, I’d rather get through here before all of the light is gone.” The older cat began walking towards the trees, stepping over loose branches. The she-cat sighed, but still followed.. It wasn’t long before the only sounds were the crunch of leaves from not so careful footing, mainly from the tom that Berrysong followed. Her nose twitched and her ears rose as a scent hit her like a falling tree.

“Fox!” Berrysong called out to Aldertail, but he was too late. The orange creature leaped onto Berrysong’s back, knocking her down. For a moment, she was too disorientated to fight back, and the fox ripped into her ear; its claws slicing down and into her cheek. As it was about to bite down on the she-cat, Aldertail pounced and landed on the fox’s flank, raking his claws through the thin fur. Blood pooled from the large creature and it soon knew that it was outnumbered. By the time Berrysong was able to stand, the fox had run off into the forest.

“I knew this was a bad idea.” Her voice was bitter as she looked at her companion. “You should have listened to me!”

“You’re bleeding everywhere. Lay down and I’ll help you.” Despite her anger, she did as he asked.

She hoped the trip was worth it.

Prompt;; before slateclan river, they were pineclan. their territory was full of prey, undergrowth and towering pine trees. they lived in a serene peace. dindleberry was a warrior ready to take on the world. she had a beautiful family, two kits, newly apprenticed, and a kind, gentle mate.
the day her life changed was a stormy one. the sky was a dark, brooding grey as ominous thunder grumbled above the thick layer of clouds. pineclan had experienced storms before, so she just comforted her kits. no one could predict the outcome of that storm, how the lightning would hit a pine tree, still dry from the hot green leaf, and catch flame. no one could stop the fire as the ground got muddy and cats were fleeing for their lives. the clan scattered, boulderstar told them to run to the border, some had already been lost, some had run off already. she shoved her kits to the entrance and ran after them. they found a few cats, but her mate was nowhere to be seen. consumed with terror, she raced back into the flames in search of her mate, the camp was ablaze, but she flew towards it. desperate to find him. instead she found a cowering apprentice, lightningpaw, shivering away from the flames, coughing and woozy from the smoke. so, she did what was best, she pulled lightningpaw away from the flames and ran for the hills. but, he was heavy and despite his best efforts, he offered no help in his state. she did make it to safety, but not without getting multiple injuries from fallen trees, alive with fire and the flames licking at her heels.
dindleberry never found her mate. she still doesn’t know what happened to him, but hopes he’s safe in Starclan, waiting for her.

Sandblaze had always been an adventurous kitten, traveling away from his mother, going places where he shouldn’t have been, the works. One day when he was hiding from his mother in the tall prairie grass, an eagle from the nearby forest flew overhead and tried to snatch him up. Sandblaze had seen the shadow diving towards him luckily, but the eagle had snagged his ear and part of his face. He got a lot of teasing from his siblings, but he dealt with it because it was well deserved.
