Why they like/dislike the beach: Koki loves sand. She loves everything about the sand. She loves the texture, she loves the feel of it, she loves building sand castles and sculptures. When she was very young, she thought she would love the taste of sand, but that was proven wrong. Koki is an arithmemainic, and once when she was younger she tried counting grains of sand. That failed miserably for her.

Ryder loves the beach, in fact he loves it so much he actually lives in a house along it. Every morning he wakes up, and watches the waves from his balcony, he's that close! His favorite thing about the beach is surfing though, he's been surfing since he moved alongside the water. It's a non-stress activity, so long as you don't let your mind wander to sharks. He's nearly psyched himself out of the water on several occasions.

During the day he's a classic surfer dude, but when the sun drops below the water his personality and actions change. He still loves surfing, but he's chill in a much different way. He becomes much more calm, less like the small waves leftover at the very edge, and more like a tide pool rippling in the wind.

Why they like/dislike the beach:

They do NOT like the beach.
It is because of one event that happened as a child...They were swimming with their
parents, both whom start to drift a bit away. Her father was
going to show her a turtle that was swimming nearby while her
mother went underwater to get her hair wet. It only takes a moment
for things to go wrong.A wave came, and Kayla went with it. She was underwater, rolling with the
water, scared. She opened her eyes to see the salty, foggy sea water. Getting
a breath of air to only be pushed again. She was in the zone where waves hit.
This time she spun and her top went twisted. When her mother finally got a hold of her
and stood her up on the shallows, Kayla was red in fear and embarrassment. She
hadn't fixed her top and she screamed "I'm never going back in again!"
Later that day she got a cold from the whole ordeal, pretty bad day i'd say!

Why they like/dislike the beach: she loves the beach at night, and the absence of people and noise other than the waves washing against the shore. The calm stillness, the cool night air. She dislikes it when it's noisy and crowded, disorderly. The summer heat visible in the air, the sun beating down on her dark fur, and the groups of children running around, causing chaos. She can find some enjoyment there in the winter as well ; in the grey skies and dark green water whipped into foam by the wind. In the end, she likes the beach when she has it mostly to herself, and it's quiet.
