Forthright : Kaori tends to be a bit too smart for his own good, correcting people's trivial mistakes. He tends to be a bit too honest at times, which makes others see him as a know-it-all and sometimes even a bit rude. He doesn't mean too! He just spends too much time in the library looking at books... (His favorite is a book about a man from the 1890's who works a steam engine.)

Placid : Luckily for Kaori, he has the ability to reflect others rude comments as if he was wearing a "hate repellant" sun block. He may seem unfazed by others rude comments and gestures, but it actually does effect him on the inside.. His only solution to that is to enter the farm house and hide in the library until the evening when Mr and Mrs. Harkins retrieve him from his safe place and comfort him with sour grass shoots dabbed with honey.

Peculiar : Kaori is a bit of a peculiar dik-dik, antisocial and uninterested in hanging out with the others. He has become close to Himeros who is a fellow dik-dik on the farm who is somewhat like him. He is actually much more like a small child than anything, which is why the Harkins allow him to have free reign of the house (due to his obsession for books.) Kaori also has a knack for things that are more bitter than sweet, which is surprising since you would think such a adorable dik-dik would be playful, shy, and a sweet lover... But thats what makes him peculiar, he's different.. It's like he told the world "No, I am who I want to be. My looks don't define me."
