Personality ;; Miyako isn't very social, she doesn't like to be involved in large crowds. Larger crowds make her feel nervous so she avoids them as much as she can. Despite that, she does enjoy living with the Pride and helping them; Her home was destroyed but she's determined to help the Pride save theirs. The little glowing lady prefers to keep to the shadows, and has gotten rather adept at concealing her glowing attributes so she can remain unseen to most. When nervous or aggravated, she can be rather testy, and a bit temperamental. Miyako also likes to have things go her way or in her favor, so she can get a bit rude and snippy when things don't.

Miyako lived in a place that not many would choose to call home. At its best, it was a thriving forest, where things seemed to be in perpetual twilight. Fireflies flew like little stars upon the earth, and cicadas sang their song to even those who did not wish to listen. The trees were beautiful, ranging from white oaks to even the darkest furred pines. Along the forest floor you would see an abundance of different flower varieties, and the little bees that buzzed around them. It was a beautiful place, where harmony and respect for others in the forest abounded, until the fire happened. The orange flames cracked and flickered, growing stronger with every piece of the forest it consumed. Miyako, her family, and the many animals of the forest were driven away from each other, fleeing in a panic. Miyako watched her home burn, for days on end, and when they flames finally died down, there was nothing but charred, black ash and burnt trees standing where tall, grand oaks and proud maples once danced in the wind. With time, the grass started to grow back, more hardened than before, but the forest hasn't completely recovered yet, and it won't ever be the beautiful forest it was ever again. Fire destroyed it, but Miyako was determined to not let this be the end of her home.
Whilre trying to save her forest home, she went on a search to find her family. She found her brother, barely alive, and managed to nurse him back to health before he set off on his own, however she never found their parents, and its still unknown to her if they perished in the fire or if they just ran so far in fright that they decided not to return. After awhile, it became apparent to Miyako that her forest dwelling was a lost cause; It would take far more years than she had in her body for the forest to be whole once more. So she set out on her own, in search of a new home. It was then that she came upon Dr. Jumba who led her to the pride, and while she's still growing accustomed to the Pride and its ways, she feels a growing fondness for the members and their habits of living. She decided that the Pride was her home now, and she'd do what she could to make sure they didn't lose theirs like she lost hers.
