What are Emyriches?

Emyriches are large docile creatures that inhabit the large, mystical island of Emyr. They emerge from their leafy lairs at dusk and are active for most of the night and morning. A colony of Emyriches is a tightly knit community, mostly consisting of a couple families. They are very social but completely silent as they lack mouths. They communicate through the bells on their tails which are also completely silent to the average human ear. The Emyriches pick up these signals through their large rabbit like ears and then respond is necessary. How do they eat? Well, they use the colorful pads on their feet to absorb nutrients from plants. This doesn’t harm the plant.
They are the size of a small horse when full grown. Females are slightly taller than males and are usually the ones that lead the colonies. Males mark territories and guard if they have to. Their only means of self defense are their size and small claws on their hind feet.
Cubs are born without a bell, causing them to be mute for the first few months. At two years old, a cub will receive a wrap. This wrap will be their first and probably last. The parent either makes it or hires someone to. This band displays the cubs personality and where they stand in the colony. Females wear them on one of their front legs and males on one of the back. The wraps can be vibrantly colored and intricate but usually match the eyes and paw pads of the cub. They stand out from the naturally colored coat of the Emyrich.

Story: She was born to family that loved to be around her. She was a fun girl that everyone wanted to protect. She loved to play fight with her mother a lot of the time. She grew slowly, but as she got bigger, she traveled a little further from home. She never went to far because she didn't want to leave her mother alone. She loved to watch the other animals in the forest play. She'd sometimes join the nicer ones that were known not to eat other animals. Whenever the meat eating animals showed up, she would protect some of the other animals that were defenseless, while the ones that could run or fight, did so. As she got older, she realized that she didn't want to be around her family much anymore and knew she needed to go find her own home soon. She slowly got older and knew it was time for her to find her own family to have and be with. As she left home, she talked to her mother as much as possible before leaving. Unsure whether she really wanted to leave or not.(might add on to)

Story:

It was a dark, soundless night as I ran through the forest with my little sister who was trailing behind quite some way.
"Come on! Keep moving!" I called motivating words towards her, but it was still a struggle for her to keep running.
But we had to run.
As I seen the light through the trees, and a opening not far in front of me, I thought we were home, but we were far from it as I ran out of the forest, only realizing we were at a highway, where humans would drive their 'cars,' so they call it. I turned to my sister who was shivering with fear, from the things chasing us, and from the cars.
"W-what do we do?" She whispered.
I had an ides thst had to work. "Follow my every move, and we'll be safe. Both of us," I whispered back, glancing back in the forest.

Age: (3 human years = 1 Emyrich year) 14 Emyrich years old

Story: Hazel had been separated from her parents in a human war when she had been just 2 Emyrich years old. The war had cost her all of her family (which she had barely known) but she had been saved by her father when he covered her with his own body to hide her. But before the war, she and her family had lived a peaceful life in a swampy forest. When she turned 1 Emyrich year old, her parents had gifted her with an enchanted golden armor plate which she then placed on her forearm/wrist not knowing its powers (yet). After the war though, she had to learn to survive. She had built a shelter out of driftwood and had many fresh food items to eat (she loves fruit). Hopefully, she will find use for this armor band that had been given to her long ago...

I can finish story for you if you want, but only if you want me to... I didn't want to make it too long
