As opposed to a normal species adoption, you basically build your own pod, and self-regulate.
First, create a cover to host your pod under. It must have art on it, as per oekaki rules, but you can use one of the backgrounds in the species already, or get a custom cover done by an artist or yourself!
This will be your founder post which hosts all information about your pod, and will essentially serve as your storage thread's first post.
Your founder mermaid will be your first colored in mermaid, and can be done by yourself or an artist. It requires a minimum writing of 100 words describing your pod, based off of the form.
You can add a new mermaid to your pod after developing it with at least 500 words (art piece alternatives also exists! Don't worry artists!)
Once you done your 500 words or art piece you can either a) create your own Trelli to add to your pod, or have an artist draw it for you as long as you post underneath with your development.
Every 3rd Trelli can be uncommon
Every 10th Trelli can be rare
Every 20th Trelli can be entirely custom and have whatever edits you want
There will also be wild mermaids to introduce to your pod, done by our artist and me. They will be less common, though, and will require a cover under your pod thread, where you at least do a basic lineart for them (at least a bust) so as to follow oekaki rules, or a fullt colored and designed background with the wild mermaid's number and or a doodle of them.
You will be limited to 2 wild mermaids for every 10 in your pod, and if you choose to adopt just wild mermaids (which you can) you will need to set up a storage thread elsewhere, and your founder will be done under the wild mermaid cover.
Don't worry, if you choose to do this option, there will be special adopts that are only for you guys, and not the development squads~
Breeding is allowed, and is possible between any and all genders of Trelli, because of their unique biology.
Please note you are not allowed to breed your mermaids, only artists can breed your mermaids, as there is a special way to do it, with special rules, so please, if you want to breed your mermaids, which is limited to twice a month, make sure to get an artist to do your breeding, by filling out the form and seeing who's open!
I have no idea if that makes any sense, but if people are interested (and I haven't overlooked some Oekaki rule accidentally that forbids the idea, lol) I really would love to do it!
A tutorial pod will be posted too, because I know you'll probably read this and just go "what" and honestly same, but idk, I wanna give it a try?
