1. excitable. if everything she said was written out, probably every sentence would end in an exclamation mark. anna exists in a constant state of excitement. she's excited about everything- the people, the flowers, the squirrel in that tree.. you get the point. because of this, she is very easily distracted and tends to wander off for hours at a time while checking things out.
2. energetic. anna is a well of boundless energy and almost never wears herself out. when she does, the crash is truly epic and the aftershocks last for days. during this period, she shows actual grumpiness, tends to snap at people, and falls asleep while doing anything. once she gets enough sleep, however, she's immediately up and bouncing around like usual.
3. friendly. anna's exuberant personality is, for most people, a little overwhelming. she wants to be everyone's friend, regardless of whether or not the feeling is reciprocated. anna knows just about everyone, and has an extensive network that reaches across the country and into several others.
4. social. anna is very much a social butterfly; unlike her rather reclusive mate, she basks in the limelight, and loves attention (whether positive or negative). she throws parties whenever she gets the chance and will drop everything to attend one.
5. insensitive. though anna, in her abounding friendliness, may want to be best friends with everyone, she doesn't seem to realize that some people don't appreciate that. while she means well, she's very loud and tends to be a bit overbearing. she's also not good for deep conversations; when they come up, she tends to change the subject or try to get out of the room. this is partly why her relationship with her daughter is so strained.

1. calm. donny is very level-headed. he has to be, constantly standing between his wife and daughter and desperately trying to hold his rapidly-fracturing home together. no matter how bad things get, donny almost never loses his temper. it's because of this, really, that make his few outbursts so terrifying.
2. authoritative. donny has a sort of quiet authority that makes people stop bickering and listen to him. when he was younger, he was very much a pushover, but as he matured and developed self-confidence, he realized that people actually listen to him when he's not hiding all the time. this ability helps him a lot, especially when dealing with his family and young children.
3. gentle. while he's not a pushover, donny is very patient and will tolerate a lot before he snaps. he is very kind and is willing to help anyone in trouble, no matter who. even when he'd really rather be selfish for once, donny will always put others before himself.
4. peacemaker. more than anything else, donny really hates it when people argue. raised voices make him want to hide, and he's likely to just run if it looks like the fight will get physical. despite this, he never fails to throw himself between the fighting parties to beg for a peaceable solution. usually, this works, as people are rarely willing to go through donny to get to the other person, but this tactic has gotten him hurt in the past.
5. empathetic. he sympathizes with everyone. all the stray animals in the neighborhood always come to donny for food, because they know he is absolutely weak when it comes to starving puppy-eyes. he can tell every time if someone is feeling down, and always seems to know just what to calm them down or comfort them.

< nicholas ><< n i c k n a m e >>nikki<< g e n d e r >>male<< p e r s o n a l i t y >>nerdy - animated - flirty- loquacious - erratic1. nerdy. nikki has a nearly obsessive interest in his 'experiments'. he's something of a genius in his field (electrical engineering, though he sometimes dabbles in other branches). he loves to invent and build, and is constantly covered in grease and soot from frequent explosions. when he's on an 'inspirational burst', he tends to lock himself in his lab to work for days on end.
2. animated. he is extremely energetic and finds it difficult to sit still, often fidgeting or running in circles for no reason at all. he also emphasizes everything he says with excessively elaborate gestures (which often end up hitting his conversation partner in the face). Nikki almost never stops moving unless asleep, unconscious, or focused on his lab work.
3. flirty. it's not that nikki actually expects his cheesy pick up lines to work- he's already got a wife (who he is deeply in love with, even if he doesn't see her much) and daughter- but he does enjoy the infuriated/blushing reactions he gets. occasionally, someone will flirt back and reduce him to speechlessness, followed by frantic sputtering ("n-no- i'm married to the love of my life, sorry-").
4. loquacious. one of nikki's bad habits is his tendency to talk.. and talk.. and talk. he can and will talk anyone's ears off, whether it's about his favorite show's new episode, his most recent experiment that blew up in his face (again), or the ghost that he is absolutely certain is haunting his house and stalking him and probably watching him while he sleeps. pretty much the only person who can endure beneath this overwhelming flood of words is his daughter, svanhilde, or anna, who will talk back just as fast.
5. erratic. nikki is almost completely unpredictable. he can be staring off into space one moment and bouncing off the walls the next. he often interrupts his (frequent) monologues with manic laughter only to forget what he was laughing about. nikki's sentences are often left unfinished as he forgets what he was talking about in favor of adjusting his toys or trying to see if his friend really does have a miniature person inside their ear.

1. energetic. while he does not equal anna or nikki in that regard, griff also has a very high energy level. he loves the outdoors and can often be found running around in the woods. he tends to be loud without realizing it (he has slight hearing problems) and mattie is frequently reminding him to keep his voice down.
2. hard-working. whenever griff decides to do something, he throws his entire self into it and gets it done. he has a very strong work ethic and can always be counted on for anything. he will never give up on anything, whether it's a job, taming an animal, or making a friend, and will stick with you till the end.
3. affable. griff is very friendly to everyone (though unlike anna, he knows when to back off) and is easily likeable. he's not quite aware of his own strength at all times, however, so too-tight bear hugs and claps on the back that send you to the floor are frequent (he's nine feet tall. you can see why this is a problem).
4. devoted. when he's made the decision that he likes someone, he will be by that person's side forever. to his family, this shows itself in small ways- like staying up late to help acci with his homework, reading fairy tales to wolf (despite his protests that he's 'too old for this', he'll always love listening to his dad read), playing sports with kotone, or cooking when mattie's not feeling well.
5. fighter. one thing griff does not at all appreciate is being told what to do. he can tolerate it from his wife or anyone with real authority, but if he feels that he's being treated unfairly, all that is gone. griff firmly believes that as long as he's still breathing, he will never just give up. this stubbornness has gotten him yelled at before, but he hasn't abandoned this policy yet.

1. dignified. mattie was raised in a luxurious environment of high class and dignity, and it shows very clearly in her deportment. more so than her friends, mattie is very refined in both tastes and behavior. she treats herself and others (unless they've disgraced themselves in her eyes) with respect, and expects others to do the same.
2. caring. while it is not immediately obvious to an observer, mattie cares fiercely for her friends and loved ones. having friends is a somewhat new phenomenon for her, so she sometimes comes off a little awkward, but she does her best to make sure everyone is taking care of themselves and staying healthy.
3. sarcastic. though she deports herself as a lady of class, mattie is not above the occasional (or not so occasional) snide remark. she has reduced overly bold viscets to tears before; once she lapses into her sardonic mode, it's best to quickly apologize and pray for mercy.
4. bossy. mattie is used to getting her own way. this, combined with her materialistic tendencies, can make her a little overbearing. she doesn't generally mean to come off this way, but in a management position she tends to focus too hard on the goal to see how people around her react.
5. insecure. mattie grew up as a spoiled only child in the wealthy household of her doting father. after her father died, his assets were liquidated and mattie 'accidentally' ended up on the streets. abruptly losing everything she'd ever known left scars, and to this day she's been ferociously protective of anything deemed 'hers'.

1. aloof. morgana is a very solitary viscet. while she knows many, many people, she's close to very few and intimate with even less. part of the cause for this is her distant, almost dreamy demeanor. even when being spoken to, morgana rarely appears to be paying attention, and it's not uncommon for her to trail off in the middle of a sentence before forgetting it entirely. other viscets tend to avoid her, which is probably how she likes it.
2. pragmatic. always one to put the ends before the means, morgana is very pragmatic, almost ruthlessly so. she rarely spares a thought for other's feelings of sensibilities and will generally plow ahead regardless with whatever she's doing. this quality has made her enemies before, but she shows no sign of stopping.
3. laconic. unsurprisingly, morgana is not one for small talk. she speaks with a very dry tone, never stopping or repeating herself and only saying exactly what's required. morgana is very blunt and straight to the point, and always says exactly what she thinks no matter if it's the smartest thing to say. the only person she's demonstrated a willingness to pursue a prolonged conversation with is chase, who generally has to do damage control for her anyway.
4. relentless. long ago, morgana received what she believed to be a vision of a future calamity to descend upon the land. ever since then, she's wandered the kingdom's working to change this destiny. once she sets her sights on a goal, morgana is tireless in her pursuit of it. she's faced dangerous weather, wild animals, and rogue magic-wielders to get to where she is and she's not about to stop for anyone.
5. wanderer. morgana is, at heart, a wanderer. she's been travelling - sometimes alone, currently with chase - for decades now and is always most comfortable while on the move. although many of the people she's met over the years try to encourage her to stay, morgana loves the fresh air and lack of confinement that characterizes the outdoors too much to ever delegate herself to the town life.

chase - morgana has few scruples and is not one to inconvenience herself or her goals for anything, so it surprised herself as much as it did anyone else when she picked an orphaned viscling off the side of the road. it surprised her even more when she realized that she cared about him - enough to lighten up once in a while, enough to relax her implacable pursuit of her goals, enough to eventually lay down her life for his safety (though she fortunately survived). she and chase work well together as a team; she provides the driving force and proctection, while he serves as an assistant and a filter for her frequently offending tongue.
