I'm sure it's been discussed, but I'm playing the tar out of the pixelmon mod right now. Seems a little pointless in single player, but on SMP it's pretty amazing, especially as they bring in better quality models and fix the little issues.

I also play Pixelmon c: a while back I believe I posted a picture of my Salamance who is quite the big boy and just got to level 70 (at the time of that post). I usually host a small modded server for myself and friends. Currently we've been doing DivineRPG. Would add a screenshot of my current home but on a mobile ^^;

I just use Skydaz since my computer doesn't like me installing the mods manually. You should try using it, it is really fast and easy to use.
