just popping on again to share my new kid! this is Tater Tot! you can call them Tot though, so there's no confusion with the mascot. also, they want to be apart of this strange thing called gender (as they don't really grasp the concept but everyone else seems to be excited about it? lol XD) so feel free to use any pronouns for them!



@alliure - perhaps the banner could be in between the starter size and the claimed/adopted size? if it was large enough to be seen from gallery view but small enough that it doesn't cover the mutato design that's used for the mutato (so it is large enough that it still covers the tail design area, but not the area actually used for the mutato's tail in the animation? I was thinking that if it was this size, then maybe only unclaimed mutatoes could have a banner (and the banner would be small enough that the mutato animation could still be made before it's adopted and the banner is removed). hopefully this makes sense :3

1) when is your mutato(es) birthday(s)? (it could be when you made them or another day!). does it have any significance?
2) I'm thinking of making some giftlines, what poses/expressions would you like to see?

Tot's birthday is February 2nd! it's only right as February 2nd is National Tater Tot day in the US! I will definitely be celebrating it this year haha! maybe I'll even give Tot some art as a birthday present :3

oo! Maybe an action pose? some sort of calm/happy/excited expression. c: also tot is adorable!
@alliure - do you guys think the standard 'adopted' and 'claimed' ribbons should be resized? or, are they fine as they are now? and if resized, should they be as big as the 'starter' ribbon, or somewhere in between those and what it is now?
I think you should resize them, but not as small as the starter ones, in between. mabye just a tad bigger than the starter would be ok? <3

Such an appropriate drawing for a Tato :3 As for your questions, the first I can't answer since I don't have my starter yet, but for the second, I agree with @Willowbear that a sleep position would be super cute. Would also love to see one where they are standing up on their hind legs as if trying to look at something, maybe just before they lift into the air altogether. :3

Editing in a response to @Alliure: Maybe a little smaller would be good, so as not to cover the design so much. But I agree that starter size would be too small to read. Then again, they are color coded, so being able to read them might not really be important..?

mutatoes have returned ! how long have you been a part of the community? any favorite memories youd like to share?
I do very distinctly remember when both these guys and Flox first came out. I always wanted to be part of both communities, but was very intimidated by how competitive you had to be to get them. I didn't end up trying out for either of them, but now, since I'm so involved with flox already and loving it, I figure I might be up for the adorable Tatoes :3

if youre new, what's something youre looking forward to? what caught your eye? At the moment, my starter Tato for sure! ^^ Also curious to see what Alliure has planned for their future. ^^

Also, sidenote, I like to pronounce them as, "Moo-tah-toes". Am I the only one that does this, or is this a common pronunciation? How do you pronounce it? ^^

@those who responded to my question about the ribbons, tysm for the input !!
i took your guys' advice and resized it, as well as changed the 'adopted' ribbon to 'open'.
this way, we can avoid the issue glassesprotag mentioned about the ribbon blocking the design!

so now, open adopts will be the ones that have the ribbon, and after the mutato finds a home, it will removed.
similar with artist entries--unclaimed ones will have no ribbon, the ribbon should be added upon claim, and then removed again upon myo ticket use.

@glassesprotag i think it is still possible for you to be added to the mutato's oekaki. try sending a cs help ticket in with proof that you own the mutato and im pretty sure the mods can add you! (im fairly certain i have done this before, but if it is no longer possible, i apologize for the misinformation cx)

@booklover789 ahh !! such gorgeous kids and gen2 mutato !! though unfortunately, you would not be able to adopt the baby, as even if a user quits, the mutato still belongs to them and therefore requires their approval to transfer ownership ^^

oh nono !! that's just the way ive been pronouncing it--i wouldnt say there's any right or wrong way cx
so just pronounce it however you want to ahah
