Because Alora spends most of her time in the sea, she ends up smelling pretty bad. When she stays on the surface for too long, her smell ends up attracting flies. Usually, she's curious and likes to observe them as they crawl around her. However, the flies accumulate and Alora is covered in a swarm of bugs. She knows that flies are harmless, but the sheer number of them is just too much for her. At night, her glow attracts mostly moths and other night-time bugs.
