Silas Runekeepers are fluffy, semi-aquatic, squirrel-sized creatures from another world. Though they vary greatly in appearance, each individual is sustained by a chunk of extremely dense crystal - their 'heart' - which some theorize may be fragments of dead stars. Silas are highly social and intelligent; they enjoy the company of humans as much as their own kind, so consider taking a few home with you!
hello, and welcome to the official Silas Runekeeper artist competition!
this topic will remain open as long as the main adopts are open, as we will always be looking for guest artists even
if we are not hiring official artists.
it is advised you read the rules in the main thread before applying for an artist position.
it's also advised that you make more than one entry with at least one fully standard Silas and one Silas with a couple
non-standard traits. if you do choose to make more than one entry, please be sure to keep track of all your entries
somehow - either by keeping them under a cover or by linking past entries in the description of each new entry!
(the latter is best, but the former is allowed.)
to start with, I will be bringing on three official artists, though may hire more or less depending on entries.
artists make public adopts for the species, and may choose to accept custom Silas requests from users holding
custom tokens for any price they choose to set. once the nursery lines are finished, Silas artists may also accept
breeding forms if they so choose (but I will likely be hiring nursery artists as well at that point!)
official artists have very few limitations on the Silas they are permitted to create, though of course standard
and common Silas will be expected to outnumber rarer Silas significantly.
on top of the official artists, I will be hiring three guest artists every two calendar months. guest artists are
given two months to create up to five public designs with one possessing an uncommon trait and the rest possessing
only common and standard traits. guest artists are required to submit their completed designs for approval before
posting, whereas official artists are not. guest artists are not required to complete all five designs in the given time,
but will receive rewards such as custom tokens for doing so. guest artists may also be welcomed as an official artist
if existing staff thinks they'd be a good fit!

I will be selecting artists/guest artists in my own time, when I get the time to review entries and such. this is all very fast and loose and relaxed.
