Whisper is a very unusual cat in terms of his/her appearance, but they are nice enough as Dark Forest cats go. Or rather... Dark Forest cats brought back by StarClan in order to give them a second chance at life. Whisper's real name is unknown, as they only go by Whisper, and this is because all they can do is whisper, due to a massive scar across their throat that robbed them of the ability to speak with any sort of strength. This disadvantage hasn't stopped them from doing their job, however. They are a forager and collector, traveling through all realms and worlds in search of rare and potent items and herbs to trade for curiosities that pique their interest. If you have what they want, they're more than willing to let you have something of theirs, but only if you provide the good first. Whisper is nothing if not a shrewd businesscat.

The coyote that travels with Whisper is similarly at a disadvantage, because she was run over by a truck in her previous life. They met at the edge of the Dark Forest, and Whisper refused StarClan's appeal if they didn't get her as a companion in their new life. The coyote has since forgotten her own name, but goes by a phrase in Latin that she adores - Veni Vidi Vici. Of course, that's quite a mouthful, so she's fine with just being called V. Said coyote is missing her lower half, and hovers, ghost-like, around Whisper as she gives her advice on whether or not to take risks on a collection or a trade. Most find V a bit on the creepy side, due to her missing half and her tendency to float, but she's really a very nice coyote - and intelligent, as they go.

Whisper and V can appear anywhere, at any time, and very rarely do they announce their arrival. Due to StarClan's power, they have the ability to traverse time and space as though it were just a plaything. This means that they can just as easily pick up rare herbs from places outside of their own natural timeline, as they can drop in on cats on patrol in any location. Trading with them has its benefits, and its risks, and they don't always ask for physical items. V and Whisper might just as well ask a leader for one of their nine lives, or a kitten from a future litter - as well as herbs and food. One never knows what they'll want, but what they give in return will usually be worth the sacrifice.

They also have been known to steal from StarClan's storage, so it's not uncommon for them to stock rare and unusual trinkets as well as herbs that are hard to find... but it may be worth considering whether or not to deal with them, because what they offer may not be something you're willing to give up so thoughtlessly. Whisper and V also have knowledge they might share for the right price - as long as it's worth something of equal value to your trade, it's fair game to ask for. However, beware making them angry... it's worth it to stay on their good side, lest something outside of time and space befall your cats...
