I hope this makes sense; I'm not so good at explaining but;; experimenting with stretching shapes and thinking a bit unconventionally is key! You have a solid start already! Try to also look in-between like keyframes in animation- how the face stretches and see what features you can get away with in terms of face variation! I too sometimes struggle with the same face syndrome but these tips help me a lot. Then again, your style is nice as is!
