White spotting in cats is weird and in particular solid white cats are weird. Technically a solid white cat is just a cat of some kind of pattern/color which the white is covering completely. A solid white cat is not a cat with albinism, though a cat with albinism can have blue eyes and is always white. Albinism is lack of pigment and there are 2 kinds- which only visibly affect the eyes.
Solid white cats or cats with high white and blue eyes can often be deaf in one or both ears (whichever side has a blue eye) but they are not always deaf.
