Amto [a-mo-toe] which means "the soul" in Indonesian.
I chose this name for him as his eyes look like those of soul keepers.
This will all make sense in his red string story.

he is genderless though, which is not true.

It is unknown to anyone, even Amto, about his age. he does
not remember being born, nor does he remember growing up.

ｐｅｒｓｏｎａｌｉｔｙ

Amto is the strange one around the area. He is known for being quiet, being the one who is "mute". Many say that Amto is mute, but they are wrong. Amto can speak, he just chooses not too. Amto believes in a prophecy, one which the read may only speak with the good eyes. The good eyes meaning his loved one, the ones who really care. If this is broken, Amto's soul will rise from his body and find a new place to rest. this will leave Amto lifeless, his body shoved away like a toy not wanted. Amto is a wise creature, he thinks before he acts, and knows many things about life. Since Amto is a wonderer, he lives and breaths with knowledge from different parts of the world, different parts of himself he never knew. Amto is a great listener, and can listen to the myths, tales and mysteries of past animals, people and much more. Amto is really just a mystery himself, not knowing anything on childhood, and not knowing who he really is through others eyes.

When Amto was a young pup, he was like everyone else. he was playful, cunning and wanted to become the strongest, baldest and best there ever was. Then, one day he decided to venture into the forest with his young pup friends. The forest was off limits to the pups, because many of his tribe know of the tale behind it...
There once was a young female wolf who was a good soul. She never said a lie, never disobeyed the rules of the pack. But one day, the love of her life came into the pack. it was 'love at first sight' many say, but others thought different. He was the rule player, the one who twisted everything. He was the evil eyes, the one with the evil soul in him. He and she became mates, and wanted to mate and have pups. So the she lead him into the forest, the forest that was magical. She knew no one came in there, so it would be a good place for them. A few days after going in, the young pair never came out. It is said that the magical spirits of those that go in carries the mates souls to the biggest tree in there, and berried them.
If you go in, you'll never come out.

Yeah, the concept is that a red string is tied around the ankles/pinkie finger (depending on which culture you look at) and the person on the other end of that thread is your soulmate, or destined lover. The string may stretch or tangle, but never break.
