"Blue" - Blue roan is the term for roan on a black base. Because the white hairs of roan mix with the dark base colour, they can come out looking like they have a blue tint, hence the name. For this horse to be black, it needs to have the "E" allele on the Extension gene. Black is a dominant colour, so it only needs one copy to work; this horse could be "Ee" or "EE". Black horses can produce red and black pigment, so if this horse had any agouti genes it would become a bay instead. Therefore it needs to be "aa" non-bay on the Agouti gene. So, this horse could only be "Ee/aa" or "EE/aa".

Roan - Roan is a complete dominant gene. This means that regardless of whether there are one or two copies, the horse's coat will look the same. So this horse could be Rnrn (one copy) or RnRn (two copies).

Overo - Overo is lethal when there are two copies of it ("OO"), and horses die before birth if they have this genotype. This is why you should never breed an overo to another overo - there is a 25% chance of "OO" and therefore foal death. So, any living overo horse must be "Oo".
