“Yarr harr! Good job, me matey! I would also pick pirates!” Ethos declares with a playful grin, feeling the infectious spirit of the moment. Etho shrugs and smiles. At that, Ethos erupts into a lively dance, spinning in a silly circle as he hums a jaunty pirate tune. His exaggerated movements and enthusiastic gestures are enough to make anyone chuckle, and soon, the two of you begin to join in the merriment. As he dances, the whimsical melody fills the air. The lighthearted shanty is catchy, with lyrics about treasure, the open sea, and daring adventures that seem to whisk you away on a journey of imagination. Ethos twirls and stomps his feet, his pirate spirit shining brightly, and the sight is so entertaining that you can’t help but get caught up in the moment. Before long, you and Etho find yourselves clapping along to the rhythm, joining in with laughter and cheers. The carefree energy is contagious, and for a little while, the world outside the yard fades away. You notice the lights are back on at Ethos’ House, so you trot up to the wacky abode with a renewed sense of excitement. As you approach the porch, you spot Ethos and Etho lounging in two old, creaky chairs, looking as if they’ve just settled in for a long evening of storytelling.

“Did I ever tell you about this one time, Etho, when we were sailing on the—” Ethos starts, but his words are cut off as he catches sight of you. “Oh! Welcome back, friend! Come, come! Let me regale you with one of my legendary tales from the high seas!” His eyes sparkle with enthusiasm, and he gestures for you to join them. Etho, with a playful smirk, interjects, “Kid, tell him you don’t wanna hear his story! If you do, you’ll be here all night and miss out on all the candy!” He leans back in his chair, arms crossed, an amused look on his face as he nods towards the trail of houses decorated for Halloween. Ethos frowns, his pirate swagger momentarily deflated.

“Hey! I heard that! But okay, fair point… I might’ve gotten a bit carried away.” He strokes his chin thoughtfully, a glint of mischief returning to his eyes. “Hmmm. How about this, then? You tell me a horror story of your own! I’ll even say no more than two sentences, so you can still visit the other houses and gather all that sweet loot. Sound like a deal?” With a smirk, Ethos reaches out his hand, his expression shifting back to that of a confident pirate ready to strike a bargain. “What do you say, brave friend?” The porch creaks as he leans forward, his excitement palpable. The atmosphere is thick with the spirit of the night, and you can’t help but feel drawn into their whimsical world. This Halloween night is turning out to be quite a memorable escapade, and the chance to share a story with a pirate is an opportunity you can’t pass up.
