A Plate Dragon is a subspecies of dragon! They have "Plates" on the side of their cheeks and on their butts! They also have scales around their bodies such as on their faces, legs, and tail! Another unique feature are the "spikes" on the end of their tails and horns that can range in many different shapes and sizes that are used for protection and battle. They usually live in jungles or forests but can be found anywhere. They are extremely venomous, and can projectile their venom when in danger! They use this tactic when feeling threatened or scared so as long as you have good intentions they wont hurt you! They are feisty but you'll be lucky to have one as your friend if it gives you its trust!

i don’t usually make designs with palettes like this, but it was fun! this guy is inspired by pumpkin patch tarantulas, vampire + halloween crabs, and pumpkin on a sticks :]
this’ll be a naming competition — i’ll pick the name i feel is the most fitting to be the winner ^^ feel free to explain your reasoning behind the name you chose/its meaning if you’d like as well <3

pd name: Kankra Nerolie
reasoning: The pd reminds me of a spider in a way, and the name Kankra is derived from the word kanker, a rare or dialectal German word meaning "Spider". While the surname, Nerolie, is a name derived from the word Neroli, an essential oil made from orange blossoms. Both names are chosen either for how I personally view this pd or for their basic characteristics.

pd name: Orphea
reasoning: The feminine form of Orpheus, a name that means “the darkness of night”. It’s also the name of the guy who traveled into the underworld to rescue his dead wife in Greek mythology, convincing the gods to let him take her back with him through the power of his music. Overall, I thought it was a spooky, cool name for a spooky, cool dragon :3
