♢ HAYRIDE HORRORS ♢

An ominous red arrow and a winding dirt path catch your gaze. As you draw nearer, curious as to what it was for, you begin to make out the shape of trees in the distance and.. wings? Chills begin to run down your back as the sun sets over the festival. Before you can decide if this was a scare actor playing the long game or just a coincidence, a colony of bats suddenly swarms around you. What?! They eagerly flap a wing at you, as if they’re sending a greeting. Promptly, they slowly fly back where they came from, occasionally backtracking, seemingly waiting for you.
Hesitantly, you follow. Now being closer to the forest, you come to a stark realization: the trees are cardboard! The bats, though? You have no clue. Through the brush emerges a dark red dragon, his shadowy, drippy, and—actually—quite normal wings moving with the breeze. “Sorry to scare you,” he admits as the bats disappear and transform into crystals. “I was putting the final touches on the entrance here.”
…Entrance? To what? “Oh! My bad for assuming. This is the site of the festival’s hayride! It’ll be loads of fun, albeit a bit spooky.. perhaps our encounter was a nice sneak preview, ey?” You remember briefly looking at the hayride on the activities schedule, a bit curious to see what it was like. And.. you unknowingly walked straight into it.
“Also,” the unfamiliar plate dragon breaks the silence, “I’m Eclipse, one of the guides. Nice to meet you. If you’re interested in coming along, feel free to follow me.” Eclipse extends his paw out, encouraging you to accept. “Or, if you’d rather not, I’ll lead you back to the main grounds. I understand if this was enough scares for one night.”

hihi, welcome to haunted horrors! this is an interactive choose your own adventure booth :D it’s my first time doing something like this, i’m excited for it <3<3
this story follows osprey, eclipse, chrome, and T0X1N as they guide you along their hayride adventure ^_^ every day there’ll be a new part of the story and 2-3 options for you to choose how it can progress! at the end of the day, the option with the most votes will be the next part of the story :3
this booth closes each day at cs rollover — i’ll try to reopen as soon as i can, but since i’m writing each part the day of it may reopen a little while after rollover! :”] i’m going to try and have a new story part each day, but that may change depending on how i’m able to manage it during the event >o<;;

it isn’t a guarantee that i’ll reference your entry and/or your pd in the story! however, i figured i’d ask anyways in case i’m inspired and for.. certain plans >:)

you’re also allowed to mention my npc plate dragons in your responses if you’d like! their pronouns are, in order from biggest to smallest size-wise: osprey (they/them), T0X1N (it/its; nonverbal), chrome (they/them), eclipse (he/him)

prizes for this booth will be a bit different than my previous ones! here’s a list of how it’ll work:
— 1 route will have a rare trait, 1 will have an uncommon, and 1 will be common
— the traits themselves + the option each one is connected to will be random every day!
— the route you pick will determine what prize you get, regardless if your chosen route is the most picked or not
— additional prizes may be given out as the event progresses >:3
trait items can add the corresponding trait to a pre-existing pd or myo!

Ultimately, you chose to trail behind Eclipse. Admittedly, it was difficult to see him at times, as he occasionally blended in with the surroundings, but you were still able to keep up. As you near a clearing, several figures reveal themselves. “That’s Chrome over there,” Eclipse shouts, causing the monochrome winged dragon to bounce up and wave with a big grin, his yellow eyes uncomfortably staring into your soul.
“And behind those trees.. I think I see T0X1N and Osprey. They can seem intimidating, but I promise they’re gentle fellas. Wouldn’t hurt a bat.”
