Have you ever hear the saying "lightning never strikes the same place twice"? Well, this is a myth! Lightning can most definitely strike the same thing multiple times, especially when it comes to tall objects and structures!

To win this equid, draw or write about a myth this equid believes/used to believe! Up to 300 words for writers, OR 1 piece of art with an optional 50 word caption.

Clarifications:
1. your myth does not need to based on a pre-existing myth! Feel free to make up something new! <3
2. I'm not gonna be crazy strict on word could for the caption or writing, so if you need 10-15 words to finish of a your entry, go for it!
3. I have left the medium of the art piece open. Multi-panel comics, animations, still illustrations, and sculptures are all acceptable. However, please keep in mind that I will be judging the story and creativity of the myth shown, and how it is evoked in the art piece.

Short Personality: Level headed and calm, Thor is quite the opposite of what you'd expect a lightning marked equid to be! He's often the peacemaker in the herd, and tries to approach every situation calmly and reasonably.
Myth: Thor used to believe that thunder is the sound of hooves of legendary equids running on the clouds when he was a foal! It was a myth he heard as a foal from his mother, that the bravest equids who manage get to the very top of the highest mountains, can jump onto clouds from there and run on the sky like they do on the ground - and the thunder is the sound of their hooves beating on the clouds, and lightning are the sparks they cause when they race across the storm! It was a very amusing fairytale to believe in youth, imagining running over the clouds and beating rocks to draw a spark playing a legendary sky-racing equid. He grew out of believing in that, of course, and he does not anymore think that a real equid can actually jump onto a cloud from a mountain, however high it is - but sometimes, when thunder and lightning rage in a storm, he can be seen looking at the clouds with a very pondering look in his eyes... if its not equids who run on the clouds drawing thunder and lightning, then who?..

Ekaitz is a sweet and loyal stallion, he is protective of those he loves and he has the strength to fit that protective role. Even though he has the strength to do so, he would prefer not to harm anyone.
Myth:
When I was a colt, my parents would tell me “blood is thicker than water”. Our herd was mostly family so that’s all I knew. One day I came across this river where another colt was standing on the other side. When I’d drink from the river, he’d mirror me. I decided to race him and see if he’d keep up, he could not. It was fun. We’d race each other everyday until one day, he was halfway through the river heading towards my side. He was clearly struggling making the distance so I jumped in to help him. He mustered a weak “Hi” and I felt a spark ignite inside me. I helped him to my side and introduced myself, he responded with his name, “Leander”.

The swim became easier as we got older and we only got closer. I was reaching the age where my parents were pushing me to find a mate to continue growing the community. They’d introduce me to mares from other communities but I didn’t connect with any of them. When I was with them, I could only think of Leander. Leander then told me he loved me and I was excited to tell my parents. They immediately disapproved. I was their only son, their only chance at continuing their lineage. They gave me the choice of being their son or being with Leander. I was heartbroken, their words “No son of ours would do this to his community” echoed in my head and Leander refuted, “You don’t deserve to call him your son”. His words stuck with me, it was true. They only cared about me when I was following their plan. I deserved actual love and care, which I felt from Leander. Leander’s family was so welcoming towards us, I was not their blood but they treated me as such because their son loved me and that was enough. [317 words]
