This song captured his feelings a bit too well when he first heard it. It gave him the courage to leave his old herd to find his own, Equids who'd actually care about him. Then he met the twins and never felt more welcome in his life!

Reason: being a star quip equid, Commander sometimes feels a bit isolated from his peers. one day he stumbled across space oddity playing over a speaker and found it resonated with his very being (soul and all). he swears he gets chills everytime he plays it, able to perfectly imagine himself floating alone in space much like he floats around able to see the other equids yet his anxiety chokes his voice from reaching out to them.

Reason: Because no other musician or song manages to make something SOUND like space in my opinion. Seriously, the entire OST for this movie is just so wonderful at giving you that feeling of how amazing space is but also the emptiness and dread of it Q_Q. I imagine this guy likes to look at the vastness of space from earth while listening to this song and imagining what could be out there. It fills him with wonder, but also gives him that sinking feeling of being so tiny and so alone in this huge universe. Headphones HEAVILY recommended for this one!
