For centuries, during Ghouls Gate, when the veil between realms and realities is at its thinnest, beneath a harvest moon the archway forms. From its shadows silhouettes spill tendrils, wisps, and chilling voices that dance past your ears. Yet a sense of delight and excitement live on, for this is not a time of fear. No, this is a great time of celebration! Where all walks of life are able to meet peacefully under the warming amber glow.

The Ghouls Gate is a place of activities, contests, and celebration.
You may take part in whichever sections call to you!

How to Participate
Prompts: Complete art or writing prompts to earn Soul Tokens.
Mini-Games: Participate in forum games and challenges hosted by the Mascots.
Community Challenges: Work together with other participants to unlock milestones and rewards for everyone.
Event Shop: Spend Soul Tokens on seasonal Tatsumon designs, accessories, and items.


Prompts
Each completed prompt grants Soul Tokens, which can be saved or spent at the shop!
Post your completed prompts here to earn your reward.

Art Prompt: Draw your Tatsumon celebrating at the Ghouls Gate or
joining in one of the festival’s traditions.
Writing Prompt: Write a short scene (minimum 300 words) describing
your Tatsumon’s experience at the Gate and the strange sights they encounter.


Rewards
Soul Tokens (Event Currency): Earned through prompts, contests, and games.
Use your earned tokens to make special purchases! Soul Tokens may be saved and
carried into future years of the Ghouls Gate event.

Seasonal designs and items: Earned either by purchases in the seasonal shop, (open
at the end of the event!) or awarded as prizes from games.

Closing of the Gate
The Gate will close on November 1st, sealing away its lights and laughter until the next autumn.
While no new prompts or activities will be available after that date, your Soul Tokens will remain
safe, ready to be used when the Gate reopens next year.

Goul's Gate Rules

General Participation
Anyone with a CS account may participate.
All entries must follow CS’s site-wide rules.
Be respectful to hosts and other players.

Event Currency & Items
Soul Tokens are earned through event prompts, games, or raffles.
Tokens may be saved for next year’s event - they do not expire.
Tokens cannot be traded, sold, or transferred outside of the event.

Prompts & Encounters
Players may roll or pick prompts during the event period.
Each prompt can only be completed once per player unless otherwise stated.
Event encounters are for fun - they do not guarantee a Tatsumon adopt.

Tatsumon Adopts
Tatsumon obtained through this event are event-limited designs.
They cannot be resold for real money or C$; only traded within CS guidelines.
Do not edit or alter Tatsumon art unless permission is given.

Alt Accounts & Fair Play
No alt accounts may be used to gain extra rolls, prompts, or adopts.
Cheating, botting, or exploiting systems will result in disqualification.
Hosts reserve the right to void entries that break rules.

Deadlines
All event activities must be completed before the posted end date.
Late entries will not be counted.

Host Decisions
Event staff/hosts have final say on disputes.
Rule changes may occur if needed; players will be notified.

Meet the Mascots

Each year a new team of Mascots are chosen to make sure that the festivities of Ghouls Gate go all the smoother,
guiding those that are new to the fun games and prizes. Their job is to teach others the history of the Ghouls Gate,
how ancients once roamed the very lands. During Ghouls Gate they return to be among the living, to celebrate and
enjoy life in a weightless form.

Mascots may be used in any prompts that you enter for. Either have your own tatsumons interacting with them or
if you do not yet have a tatsumon choose one to fill out the prompts with!

Pip
Pip is an energetic Tatsumon that adores all things sweet and all
things treat. While this lil fella adores absolutely all things tasty and
good, he just as much adores the spooky and creepy! His favorite
pass time is making little bat shaped plushies. This lil fella is a
guarantee to bring you laughter and scares!
During the event he works at the Apple bobbing stall!



Pops

Pops is an awkward but cheerful tatsumon who cares very much
for his kids and wants to make sure them and their friends all get
to have an amazing time during Ghouls Gate.
During the event he works at the (TBA) stall!



Muette
shadeless ref
Muette is a silent Tatsumon who rarely speaks. She prefers to
watch instead of interact and so often comes off as cold or
standoff-ish.
During the event she works at the (TBA) stall!



Tommy
shadeless ref
Tommy is a young tatsumon that loves mythical animals. He
often pretends to be anything between dragons, unicorns, and
the loch ness monster- though nothing rivals his love for stickers.
During the event he works at the sticker stall!



Hex
Hex loves to celebrate Ghouls Gate as it is a time that her
spooky colors really shine. There's no better fun than lurking
in the shadows preparing for a good scare!

This is where you will come to exchange or combine your special tokens collected during Ghouls Gate. You can combine up to SEVEN special tokens, each is designed for an ooky or spooky event trait. Who knows what crazy combinations you can make? What you do know for sure, is that after each use of this altar- you cannot help but take notice of a glimmering starlight condensing over head. What could be forging in the stars, who knows? Only time will tell just who comes down from that glimmering mist.
