OMG THOSE WING DETAILS!!! I love how they look so transparent & textured, sort of like silk (I'm a sucker for textiles) Those colors & subtle details are BEAUTIFUL!

Shuò! I was so excited to see the jade fable, and wow did it turn out stunning! The soft landscape in the wings is such a lovely addition. Congrats to ruse! <3

crazy how bezel managed to make a masterpiece in 4 hours and 38 minutes.. and apparently using the 1pixel brush for lining.. huh...

anyways. SHUÒ!!!
he's sooo pretty and ethereal oh my god??? i can see him rising from his pedestal coolly, and then laughing evilly like a maniac..
i thought i was ready to write this comment, but im smiling too hard again (T_T

one of the things i really wanted to see in shuo's design was him having pretty eyes and flowing hair, so shuo's actual design having those elements means so much to me.. (because i'm a sucker for a pretty face with a mismatched personality LOL)
those eyelashes and the knowing gleam in his eyes omgggg (>_<

a detail im particularly obsessed with is the red on shuo's right arm, how it appears to have solidified into the stone and is rooted from the large wound on his chest.. this detail is so meaningful to me because of its relation to shuo's story; this marking is a physical reminder of when he began to strive for life (also his first experience with blood but yeah)!!!
and the placement of the crack on shuo's neck feels right, because i can see this being the remnant of an assassination attempt when shuo was weakhearted, or from when he had awoken; its placement near shuo's face would force him to look at it whenever he looks in the mirror, which would make him upset <3
he would actually be upset with every crack on his holy body, but this one has a special place in his heart <3

the landscape on shuo's wing is so beautiful, i love how soft and subtle it is. and that it’s opalescent, because it ties in with Mireu, Odalis, and Yue Chen’s designs!! i also love that the river running through this painting, bc it's reminiscent of the river i wrote about in shuo's form orz

and the shape of the spade on shuo's tail is also so pretty!! it reminds me of one of the pins in the pinterest board i made for shuo!! shuo's design is generally soft, but the bat wings and tail make him unexpectedly sharp, a contrast i loveeee. i can see shuo enjoying using the spade on his tail for his violent endeavors LOL
the detail on shuo's hairpin is phenomenal, for the little space oekaki offers + the 1pixel brush you used.. speaking of detail, the detail on shuo's four horns are so pretty, i love that this is the area which recalls jade's texture the most realistically!

im so appreciative and warmed by your designs for these runner-ups and Yue Chen, because they show your interest in the fable community's stories and ability to convey that through your designs. and im also thankful because shuo is the perfect first fable for me (T_T
it's really cool to me that all the runner-ups for #200 and Yue Chen have similar concepts (ponytail, dual tails, bat wings, and cracks), but they're all drawn differently, and the fables themselves are distinct individuals who visually convey different stories. it's been really fun seeing these fables come out and getting to compare and contrast them to each other!!

congratulations, ruse!!! i've been so looking forward to seeing shuò and this design did nottt disappoint. the palette is beautiful and the wings along are SUCH a masterpiece!! discovering all the little patterns and markings hidden in this design that looks pretty simple at a glance is so cool. i also didn't even notice the red on the right arm until reading your comment, and WOWW what a fun detail. again, congrats!! <3
