Name: Ajala
Meaning: Means "fights and survives" in Yoruba, from jà "to fight, struggle" and là "to survive". Alternatively, the final element could be lá "to lick; to become worn out". Can also be interpreted as "Traveler".

Character explanation: Ajala is a skittish mare who never sticks around long once spotted. As quickly as she appears she is gone. Some would describe her as having a look of not only fear, but anger. A theory that she survived something horrific arose and that is how she got the name Ajala, a wanderer of the desert who fights to survive, but when she goes unseen for some time people wonder if she finally grew worn out of fighting. That is often when she'll reappear. She never seems to sit still, always moving like the ever shifting sands of the desert. A hurt soul who is scared, angry, and lonely just looking for a place where she belongs and feels safe.
