yay! today marks 3 years since my first adopt as a goobies (trial) artist! \^_^/ i can’t believe it’s been that long >~<;; this is also my 600th oekaki so that’s a fun coincidence :O

this goob was inspired by angel food cake + red velvet cake, and the charms on their bracelet are references to the themes of my first trial adopt + first official artist adopt >:3

This goobie is easily motivated by their ultimate dream! Although just a dream, they hope to one day make it a reality!

Their dream? To one day open a cake shop of their own! At the moment they work as an apprentice for Chase in his bakery. Learning all the essential skills needed for running their own store.

Chase also motivates them, helping to teach them lots of different skills along with supporting them on their journey.

And even the wider goomunity motivates Esperanza to work harder towards their dream, whether they know it or not. Tips left and compliments made all add up to fuel Esperanza and their dream.

If they keep working hard they'll get there one day.

Some days... Some days it's hard to find motivation. Their dream seems so far away...

How will they ever get there? They work and work and work and work but they're never any closer to getting their dream.

Should they give up?

SQUAWK!!

As these thoughts cross their mind, a certain flappy gooble jumps up onto their head. Squawking and flapping around. As if sensing Esperanza's doubt.

The little gooble jumps back down to the floor, turns and stares up at them. Though the gooble says noting, the goobie knows what it is they'd say.

"Don't give up now! You've made so much progress already! Have faith in yourself!"

And they're right. Almost immediately this gives the goobie back their lost motivation! They're ready and rearing to go. Ready to take on another day!

Little does Esperanza know, but in the future Chase will step down from running his bakery. It's too much for him. He has become overwhelmed and burnt out.

He tells them this as they work their last day as his baker.

All hope seems lost.

Chase asks them to hold out their paw and into it he deposits a key. An old, worn key that's small and insignificant.

It confuses Esperanza who doesn't know what to think of it.

Until Chase says, "I may be stepping down but you will be stepping up. The bakery is yours now."

Not even the gob of joy would be as happy as Esperanza was in that moment.

She eagerly hugs Chase, thanks him a thousand times over for this.

Their dream... They finally got their dream!!

And from then on, every day motivates them. The thought of opening that bakery-No, their bakery. It fills them with determination
