You hear the scampering of tiny paws and claws on the hardwood as you walk down the hall. Nestled in its own room with a gate to keep other dogs out, you see the light trickling into the hallway. The room is bathed in a warm, soft light and yips greet you as you finally see the lil pups inside.
Welcome to the whelping box.

General Rules:
* You must own a pointer to be able to participate in the whelping box!
* Any gender combos are acceptable for breedings
* Siblings and parents/children cannot breed to each other
* All pointers have a two week cooldown after they breed before they can breed again. This period starts after their litter is posted, or one week after your form is accepted (whichever comes first).
* Every pointer has 5 breeding slots. Once all 5 are used up, they cannot breed anymore
* Every owner may participate in up to 3 breedings per month (this doesn't mean you will always get 3 breedings a month, however, this is just the maximum you can have in a month)
* Make sure you fill out forms for breedings fully and completely. Failure to do so could result in your breeding not being selected or perks not being passed properly.
* In order for perks to be passed, they must be obtained prior to a breeding being selected. Even if they obtain them after the breeding is selected but before the pups are posted, they won't be passed.
* You can breed your own pointers or breed them with others. Solo breedings will have 1-2 pups where as shared breedings will have 2-4.Impairment Risks:
* If a pup ends up with the piebald or extreme piebald gene, they will have a 15% chance of being blind, deaf, or both. Deaf and blind dogs cannot participate in conformation. If a dog is both blind and deaf, it cannot be bred, either. You can learn more about what genes can lead to this in our genetics guide.Additional Informaion:
* Yummy Biscuits double your odds of receiving the max amount of puppies per litter, but don't guarantee the maximum. (it takes the odds from 40% to 80%) The max amount is dependent on the type of breeding.
* Puppies physical shape won't change regardless of their genetics. This means that line edits/different ear shapes/different coat types won't be visible on their puppy form.
* It takes 8-10 days for puppies to age up to their adult form. They then have a two week cooldown before they can be bred.
