Prompt: my all time FAVORITE markings/pattern is actually a boa mutation! its called the increased melanism gene or IMG! this gene is VERY cool in snakes and honestly my dream animal, it causes there pigmentation to darken as they age! Each time the snake sheds its skin it will be darker/have dark spots. eventually most IMG snakes become SOLID black after a few years! its honestly the coolest thing in nature to me as theres so many stages of IMG snakes. some just get darker colors to there patters and as i said before some become solid black! ill attach links to photos of em for you to see! :>
